No backing down for  Pacquiao, he will continue to fight big names in boxing, and he will also continue to run for Presidency.

I read some news that he is already getting into sparring sessions, he fought professional boxers with 5'10'' height and the same style with Spence. Manny's camp really prepared for this and they will ensure they'll get this win although they are still the underdog until now.

That's one thing about Manny and his camp, they really prepared for this kind of big fights and looking for sparring partner that can emulate how Spence stance and height is. George Kambosos, Teo Lopez next opponent used to be one of Manny's sparring partner and probably will boost his confidence against Lopez.

I was surprised though to see Ivan Redkach as Manny's new sparring partner, I guess the because of the height at 5′ 9½″.

I have to agree that Manny fight will gain so much exposure and can attract voters but still, I believe in faith that our next president will be different and make the Philippines great again. This fight will go to Manny, as this is part of his campaign.

He doesn't need more exposure, he is already popular, this fight will only give him more budget for the election but in terms of popularity, everyone knows him already.

I totally agree with that, even the minors know Manny Pacquiao, that's how popular he is.

He fought to be recognized more worldwide, and we have to remember also that there's big money involved.
A $10 million which could be the minimum amount he can make here is equivalent to half a billion-peso already, and that's enough to use for his campaign.

No backing down for  Pacquiao, he will continue to fight big names in boxing, and he will also continue to run for Presidency.

He will be the boxing President soon, lol.. I can't imagine it would happen too, if I'm not mistaken, he is the only boxing senator, so he will make another history if he still fights when he becomes President.
He did not mention his plan on the next election but I really have a feeling that he will run for a president position.

I will support him as a boxer but not as president. Thus im looking forward for his fight with Spence.
This is a big motivation for him to win since he could get a big exposure for votes if he wins this fight. Becoming a president however is a big responsibility.

Manny Pacquiao is a crypto enthusiast, as far as I know, he owns a cryptocurrency. do you think if he wins as president he will turn the Philipines like El Salvador?

With the current government that we have, and the senators that we have, I don’t think the next president can make Bitcoin legal, especially there’s a lot of top companies that will not be in favor to this.
Bitcoin is already legal in our country, that's why there's a regulation and we have a lot of crypto exchanges that has a license from the Central Bank.
What the Philippines cannot decide now is to consider bitcoin as a legal tender like El Salvador did.

Even people who are into cryptocurrency will have a hard time convincing people to engage in it while Pacman owns some crypto, I don't think he has deep knowledge about this stuff. He might have been used as an endorser of some coins as he is a big name but I doubt he understands the "use-case" of the coins he promotes.

The key factors for Pacman to win is focus on training which I think will not be on his this time around.

Have you seen Youtube videos showing the everyday training of Pacquiao? (Just one example who regularly posts - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FhqP4oJjPQ ) It seems that he is pretty serious with his training. As usual, he always draws crowd on him. This is really an interesting fight to watch out for. And the lawsuit seemed not discussed anymore. Maybe, they already settled or will have talks after this Spence fight.

Pacquiao is always serious with his training, he is the most disciplined boxer I know, he does not go to the casino or get into parties with friends, he is focus on him and works hard for it. Pacquiao would not be a champion at this age if he is not serious, beating Thurman was a statement that he is still a dangerous fighter.

That's crazy.

If he won, he won't be able to become a fighting president anymore. The call of duty as the president and father of a country is more important to his career so he has to leave it for sure.

A joke aside, his opponent would think that he punched a president LOL.

That would be funny. It would also be much funnier if Pacman’s next fight as the president is versus Conor McGregor. Conor would be trashtalking a sitting president of a country hehehe.
Hahaha!

A showmatch, this will for sure be a fight of the decade if that would happen. Well, these speculations are truly funny and who knows if these funny thoughts would come into reality after this match.

@Questat - perhaps politics is very different in sports. So Manny might have a hard time to win if he run for the President.
You mean win the presidential election or win the match if he is concentrating too much in politics?.

Lots of videos already circulating in Youtube, Manny has started his training in Wild Card gym with coach Roach. Mark Magsayo even posted in his in Youtube channel and you can see that Manny still has the power and the speed.
Hitting the pads always looks great, will he be able to deliver that during the fight is the question, if he was not training in the last two years, then it becomes difficult to perform at his best as his opponent has only one target and that is Manny Pacquiao but Manny has many distractions outside of boxing.

Running for presidency requires big money,  and we all know Pacquiao is capable of spending what is needed as he is a billionaire in the Philippines. With what he will make in this fight, the guaranteed purse is $5 million for him, so he will make more or less 250 million PHP, and PPV is not included yet.
I think Pacquiao will make more money through PPV than his guaranteed purse, and yes, that's a big help for him to finance his campaign being a presidential candidate. That's why this fight is really important to him, and he needs to win this so he can still get a good fight.

Easy money for him, but regardless of how much he will make, still unlikely he will win in politics.

The funny thing is, Manny is favored to win in any boxing fight but he is a big underdog in politics.

That says, you cannot be good in everything.

There's no such thing as easy money when you risk your health and worse is your life in the ring, we just say it easy because Manny is a great fighter, but we can never be sure if they'll always be safe in the ring.

Been watching some of his recent YT videos posted by his fans regarding his training to this upcoming fight.
And I can say, he still has this power and stamina to endure all those backbreaking exercises.
It seems he can still go the distance inside the ring, considering his age. I think I will bet on him on this one.
He should focus himself on this training and not on politics. Politics can wait though.

But it was obvious that Manny Pacquiao has political ambitions, not saying that it is bad, but it's going to take a lot of time, it is no joke and its dirty. He should just focus on his boxing career, as he can still make a lot of money.

Yeah, watch some YT videos, that massive calves though, LOL, it will not be an easy fight for him, he needs to train very hard. The power is there, but it he don't execute well and can't hit Spence then his chances to win are slim. No odds yet, but of course he will be the fan favourite and could get a lot of bets from this community (including me).

Jack of all trades 💯
Even if you are good, if there are distractions in life there is no way you are going to dedicate your full time into it while his opponents only aim is to compete at the highest standards and thereby build a reputation by defeating Manny Pacquiao.

I agree here. Now that he's now in USA to start his official training, I hope he will keep focus on it although it's hard to erase what's on his mind about those things he left on the Philippines and those things he will faced once he come back.

If only Pacquiao start making noises on the politics after the fight, it's much better so he can focus with the fight. He is rushing things to build his name in politics.

I'm sure that he could not focus on this training as he will be attending some inquiries in the Philippine Senate for the graft accusations he threw to some agencies, though virtual but still causes him to be stressed out.

Maybe he deliberately do this to have alibi after he loses this fight hehe.

He's doing it on purpose and this fight might also be part of that plan, we know he's running for presidency and that's normal in politics. Anyway, he's already starting his training and as per his coach, he's in a good condition and ready to face Spence on a possible knock out match. The result will be different here, that politics thing will not affect the performance of Manny, his team can handle that politics side.

Yeah he do this on purpose since he wants money and fame, he surely think that if he can win this fight he can gather honor to the country plus he can take millions of dollars which he can use for his campaign. I believe this issues could really affect  his fight since imagine how people badly condone his current behavior so I expect that he will be pressured to  prove his self that his right and emotional stress could affect his performance this time. Hopefully we can see him win but I really don't like what he is doing know on politics.

Imagine that if he pursue his dreams to run for presidency then he will lose a lot of money since we all know that he will never win in that fight sincd he is lacking with experience and brains to run a country so maybe he should focus on his fight nor he will just stick on the senate since this big dreams will never good as many people doesn't want to go back on dark ages and I believe pacquaio will do that if he win as a president of Philippines.

I still want to see manny fight boxing for a few more years, and it would be very odd to see him make a speech in a presidential suit and be escorted by the military later 😂.
Manny is one of the best boxers who came from asia and i will always remember him as a boxer later not as a president, now manny serves as a senator in the Philippine House of Representatives and of course with that busy life he started a bit away from the ring now, and I can't imagine if Manny became president of course he would leave boxing 100% later.

However, I don't see it happen as just like what most of us think here, Pacquiao is not going to win as a President. Lots of controversies now about him, he accused the current administration of a corrupt one, and he will have to answer his allegations with support when he comes back, it's a burden for him, so let's hope the focus on boxing will stay.

I'm from Philippines and it's a fact that's it's too early for him to run for that position, to be blunt the air doesn't seem on his side right now. No wonder he has that speed and power and I'm rooting he can still get the win, though I'm still skeptical with the current problem he's in.
