Looks like the fight will push through despite of the lawsuit, Manny already flew to US for his usual trainings and he’s confident to win on this match. Yes, he should retire if he losses on this match, he’s too old and already a successful boxer, good for him because he owns a lot of investments which makes them one of the richest man in my country. Anyway, Manny will not let this fight go easily, expect a much intense one.
So what about the lawsuit, since the lawsuit is filed by a powerful management company they need to reach a solution before the fight taking place and hopefully it wont be his last fight but the problem is that he is too much involved in politics in his native country and hence i am not sure how much time he was spending training for the last two years along with his political career.
So a certain extend, this is Manny's difficult fight, not just Spence but in politics in the Philippines, I will assumed that he will be running for the highest office, so his focus now is divided. The lawsuit might be being work out behind doors, and it seems that Manny's camp is very confident that they are going to settle it and go ahead with the Spence fight.

Manny Pacquiao was quite busy with his political carrier with the rumor that he will run as a presidency.
If Manny Pacquiao wins the belt and then run for the presidency and win that, he could be the first one to do so, a champion in boxing and the president of a country. How is his political aspiration going, is there any chance for him to win the elections ?.

But people are still believing in Manny Pacquiao, his strength could be the reason he will defeat Errol Spense Jr. easily. However, you are right, he should focus on practice right now since the schedule of the fight was almost right there, and if it is possible to stay focus on boxing training. Let us hope that the fight will not be canceled and it will really happen.
Manny Pacquiao is not known for his brute energy, he is well know for his speed and i believe that if Manny Pacquiao does have the speed he once had  then Errol Spencer will be in trouble as this will be the faster boxer he ever faced. I wanted to place a bet on the fight but the fitness level of Manny Pacquiao is the only question i have in mind because of the long layoff.

He should not be affected by politics if he wants to continue building his legacy, that's all I can say as we have different views when it comes to politics and some agrees with Pacquiao while some do not.

Or they could take care after the fight, the lawsuit is still ongoing and Pacquiao's camp getting distracted because of that will only make him lose on the big upcoming fight. Pacquiao has lawyers, they'll take care of that for him and if we read the news, they just downplayed it actually.

He must be an extraordinary man to be a boxing champ and a president as well. He proved to be an achiever with quite a story behind so he is known to come from a poor beginning up to a businessman and then a politician.  At the age where our muscles will already degrade, 40 is a sign of getting old. It's time for him to retire in boxing and just focus more on his businesses or serve the people through his office.

Spence is younger and also a very successful champ in WBC and IBF and very agile at the age of 31.

We can say he should retire but Manny would insist on fighting because he knows he can still fight and he can beat a younger fighter. I will reserve my suggestion, I would only suggest for him to retire if he loses in this fight, if not then he should still continue fighting and continue making history in boxing.

Who knows, Manny could be the GOAT in boxing.

There was no rumor that the fight will be canceled, despite the lawsuit, Pacquiao's camp still continues to proceed with the training on the Spence fight and that's great news because, despite the stress in politics, he still knows what his focus now. I hope the Filipinos will unite and will set aside the personal political tirades so Manny will be able to completely focus on this fight, besides, he is not only fighting for himself but for the honor of our country.

I just want to give an update as Manny Pacquiao goes with his flight going to Los Angeles, it got an emergency landing in Japan due to one passenger needs some emergency help and got back to Manila.
He's already on his way for his training camp for this match.

That's really necessary, it's an emergency, for sure it will not affect the plan, they'll just reschedule to fly so Manny will be able to attend all the necessary things in the US, the training and the promotion. The excitement is already building up, the fans are surely waiting for the arrival of Manny and the gym will be full of press again.
Yes, it's necessary. I just wanted to give everyone an idea that Manny got less than two months of preparation before the fight and with such delays, that will adjust his scheduled training. Once he arrives in the US this will make the fight get more noise as it's needed for the promotion. And about the issue that he has been with, I guess his team has handled it very well and there's no need to worry about it as this confirms that the fight won't be stop and it's going to be on regardless of what has been addressed with his issue.

There are rumors that Manny may be physically ready for the fight but he might be emotionally and mentally disturbed because of the politics happening in the Philippines where he was on the hot set. He will surely run for President, and now he has the responsibility to win in sports also and he might be distracted.

I hope he has the right discipline to focus and forget politics for awhile, but I think somehow he will be affected since he surely still has communication in the Philippines.
Yeah, he's into politics lately and that's one factor that we should consider because it can affect his performance. If he's not too focused with this upcoming match and he's giving attention to it even if he's into training, that will give his mindset a division instead of just solely focusing for his upcoming match. That will give him some confusion instead of just going with the match and just avoiding politicking because he has some plans in the upcoming election.

I have feel that this is the last fight of Manny Pacquiao and it looks like he will not able to win this fight.
This will be his last fight if he run for a higher position (and win) on the next election. But let's see what lies ahead since he is not announcing yet that he will run for presidency. Its just my assumption because the politics limelight is currently centered on him due to his talks about corruption of different government agencies.

Nevertheless I still support him and hoping for the best on his next fight.

If this is the last fight of Manny Pacquiao then i bet they will announce that before hand and increase the ticket price because the fans will purchase the event to see the last fight of Manny Pacquiao and that could be the biggest pay day for the promoters and for both the fighters in my opinion but yet we have not heard about any retirement talks and you cannot count out Manny Pacquiao even though he is above 40 years of age.

If he lost like a KO or been damage by Spence in this fight, maybe Manny will call it quits and end of an era, and it's time for other Filipino's to carry the flag for the country. But if he wins this fight convincingly, I think he will continue to pursue more glory until such time that there is no more hungry in his belly.

And now that he involves in the politics and has been in the news lately as he is on the offensive for his ally, Duterte (he might quit as the President of the Party), he might focus his shift more on politics in the next coming months after the fight, win or lose.

I don't think that's necessary for Pacquiao to announce that he's about to retire and that would impact the price of the tickets. Although that's good for marketing and there will be massive price increase for the selling of the tickets if he does that. I guess it's a good marketing if they're going to do that since before there were the same thoughts from the people that he's about to retire and those fights were likely his last but, we saw that it's not yet his last fight and I think that he's still going on for another fight.

Well, you have a point there --Manny Pacman is a very strong fighter and I think this is not the right time for him to resign on the boxing field.
Here in my country I saw and heard that Manny has the plan to run as a presidential candidacy and perhaps he is very busy right now preparing regarding that matter. I hope this is not the barrier for him of having an exercise to prepare himself for this fight.
I can't wait more and I like to see how Manny Pacquiao knockdown his opponent.

They have added another Freddie Roach trained Filipino in the undercard:

Mark Magsayo vs Julio Ceja.

This is a step up for Mark Magsayo as he is fighting a former champion in this division.

https://www.boxingscene.com/mark-magsayo-vs-julio-ceja-set-spence-pacquiao-undercard-august-21--158886

It's good to hear that another Filipino is going to be added in the undercard. Pacquiao is really doing good for Filipino boxers as he has been including them in his fights or trying to get them in line because of his influence.

Speaking of Pacquiao, I had to bring this news, https://eminetra.co.za/sa-boxing-scene-swayed-by-lehlohonolos-deathhands-of-stone-ledwaba/319579/. Ledwaba died at age 49.

I'm sure all of his fans are familiar with South African boxer Lehlo Ledwaba. The boxer that Pacquiao knock out that put his name on the map.

I saw the news flash, Ledwaba is a big part of Manny's success as he beat him being a challenger, I can't fully remember anymore, but was it his first fight in the US against Ledwaba?
Yes, that was his first fight in the US, we can see in the record. https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/6129
I think he only prepared it for 2 weeks as he was just a substitute but he still win impressively that the champion did not see it coming.

After that, Manny's fight in the US continues as he started to build his empire.

About the underdog of the fight, I love seeing Magsayo fighting, I hope he has improved already under the MP promotion, this is a big opportunity for him to showcase his talent to the world, he can follow the footstep of Casimero, but not his being arrogant.  Grin

Magsayo is undefeated, I hope he will still be the underdog in the fight, good odds means good money.  Grin
