Could be, and hopefully we fans are going to see this great fight. Maybe they can do out of court settlement, I'm sure Sean Gibbons and Manny has hired an attorney already to face the lawsuit and do everything to resolved it.
Manny Pacquiao is a Senator in the Philippines, he surely is familiar with the law as his job requires him to be. Don't worry about this mess, it's just a small problem and Manny will be able to settle this problem without ruining his reputation. Also, he has a lot of lawyers that will take care of this problem.
Manny's focus now is training, that's it.
He is very focused in every fight, actually, we are the ones who are speculating so much about the lawsuit. Pacquiao is in the business for decades, he surely had face this kind of problem before and handled it successfully. Both fighters have to take care of their body, avoid getting injured or getting infected with the virus, so on the scheduled date, we will see this fight and fans would see a very entertaining fight.
It seems like a money grab to me. Manny Pacquiao seems well past his prime and I question how much time he's been able to put aside for training. I don't see him letting his legacy get destroyed, so maybe this is a easy fight just to use his name to get some money. I've heard he has a history of drug addiction problems, but that could be nonsense. You'd think a senator wouldn't be resorting to fighting people for money to buy drugs. We can hope there is more to this than what it appears on the surface. Either way, I won't be watching.
About him being involved in drugs, those are just rumors without a basis, he is a hero in the Philippines so people are looking up to him. This could give easy money to him, but he deserved that given his legendary status, and might be old or has past his prime but he has proven he can still fight and we all saw that on his previous fight against Thurman.
