As a Palmeiras fan, I was extremely disappointed, not because of the 2nd place per se, but because they lost extremely important and decisive games this season and even lost to teams that were on the brink of the relegation zone, like Fluminense. What happened to Palmeiras, which was playing well and then suddenly the team declined so much? While teams like Corinthians seem to have become another team with 9 consecutive victories?

And Athletico was relegated for the 4th time in its history, including in the year of its centenary, it is very unlucky.

Botafogo did have an impressive season of you ask me and rightly deserve their title win. However, what actually caught my fancy in the Brazilian league this season is the performance of Chelsea future forward Willian Estevao who had an incredible outing with his club Palmeiras. The young Brazilian won the Best Young Player and Best Attacker of the season of the year. With Estevao, I think Chelsea have a promising future.

It's really incredible. An example which can be useful as motivation during the hard moments of someone's life.

Botafogo has been despised during the last decades, very few people believed on it, but the club has a glorious history in the previous century, having a large impact on the national team, where many of its players from the previous generation played and represented the country.

One of the club's jargons say "the most traditional" for a good reason. And this tradition is being brought up now thanks to the current team's components.

Botafogo still lacks what we discussed earlier: tradition, the club doesn't have much experience in international championships and the way they play is completely different. I believe they can do well, but they won't aim for the top spots, maybe a round of 16 at most.

For me, the biggest disappointment was Flamengo. The club lost to itself, stumbled in matches that in theory were easy. The championship didn't have a team that stood out much, they just had to do their "homework" and win the championship.

And I also have to say that I was very disappointed that Fluminense wasn't relegated. I'll have to wait until next year to root against them.

It was a hard game, but Botafogo made it once again with the goal of Savarino in the beginning of first half. From that moment on, Internacional had a lot of opportunities and room to play. They dominated the match, while Botafogo played defensively the whole match. Gatito Fernandez made some good defenses, while the whole team also defended pretty well their area, guaranting Botafogo another +3 points towards the victory.

Now Botafogo depends only in itself to win the championship. A draw or victory against São Paulo is enough to win the title tomorrow. I hope we don't have lots of emotions anymore. I'm already tired of high emotions and surprises on Botafogo's games.

What most worries me is the fact we aren't going to have Alexander Barboza, neither Bastos Quissanga on the defensive squad next game... Differently from the previous game, the attack has to be more efficient on the following match, so Botafogo don't have to worry too much about defending itself.
