Haha I tried to access mtred.com from work today and it was blocked. Reason? Gambling site.

OTOOH, telling users to faceroll seems about right for a pool tied to a site where the users frequently compare Narwhals to bacon and the earth's rotation speed. 
I never said your lack of sanity was off-par for the course.

I'm having HTTP 403 Errors when I run the following:
C:\Ufasoft\Coin\bitcoin-miner-64.exe -o http://mtred.com:8337/ -u [tried account name, worker name, and account.worker] -p [tried both worker pass and RPC_workerpass]
What did I mess up? I've also tried pa.mtred.com:8337, and without the / at the end of the URL. The same settings work for me on other pools.
EDIT: Before posting I tried to make a completely stupid and random worker name by facerolling on the keyboard. It worked - you might want to put that in your instructions that your worker name has to be unique or it will cause you to question your sanity.

I had that problem a couple days ago, but that was during the instability. It seems back to normal now though i'm only mining at ~600mhash

How has pool performance been lately? A few weeks ago I was having problems with work not being fast enough, so my hardware was slowing down and not working as fast as it should have. Is that still persisting?

Does the worker stats page update if you are mining on pa.mtred.com, or does it only update if mining on mtred.com?

it updates for all. If you read about a page back, redditorrex says he's been having issues with it syncing with the main stats db, but all your shares count if you're able to connect.
