Based on current trading volume and market capitalization currently, maybe NEO, STELLAR (XLM) and NANO that can be bought in binance, can be categorized as favorite coins. Although the coin is less known but is considered to have great potential for hodl in the long term. But every investment decision lies with each individual who makes the investment, remember to always Do Your Own Research because there is no guarantee of price movements in each crypto whether it continue to rise or vice versa.

For now, Etherum will still be the main choice in making long-term investments. As we see that Etherum still has a very large market even though it has experienced a price decline some time ago. I fully agree with your opinion and I hope that after successful testing of the Cosmopolitan update in 2019, the indicators of the ethereum will increase several times.

Of course many people wants to keep more reliable coins like bitcoin and Ethereum as long-term investment. But people who take a little risk can make a lot of money. So I think docademic and odem can be good options for long-term investment and holding 
Those good and potential Altcoins we should keep included. ETH, XLM, EOS.TRX. I think the Altcoins on would be future assets if we buy it right this time.Let's buy them when Bitcoin is cheap.

For me in this unstable market i choose ETH and Verge. So far these two coins are increasing its price despite of the unstable bear market, i think it would be nice to hold these two coins in my holdings because im pretty convinced that it would go further in this coming months. Right now ETH seems to be very low and undervalued but I would also go for Monero. Go 50 / 50 is always a good decision to avoid risk. I don't expect Monero or ETH are going to fail, but if one goes to moon and other not or only a little you'll make a good profit by averaging price increase. If you don't know, what coin should to hold, I suggest you Litecoin, XRP or Sellar. The best variants for holding, I think.
Stellar maybe but why LTC? It's have nothing unique in their technology and marketing. Founder sold own funds a long time ago. I advice to choose other coins for long-term. Enigma for example or more solid Dash with working retailers as payment

Amongst them are BTC, EOS, ADA, STRAT and more...
I think BTC will stay as a currency, because so far it doesn't have competition strong enough to overthrow it, and with Lightning network it will become more energy efficient and reduce influence of the miners.
As for smart contracts platforms there is big competition and thats why I have so big spread of coins to hodl.
I believe that now the best coin for storage is BTS and ADA. its really good coins. I choose this way

Not only ETH is a very long-term project which has the ability to increase it price even more than 2000$.
Agree, among the top 10 coins in the marketcap I'm sure that ethereum is the most promising and safe coin to hold in the long run, the most important thing is that we hold and don't panic.

My opinion, the best coin for long term investment is Bitcoin. However, you should expect to make a profit in a few years.
