Dear Jawhead999, Really thanks for your help, how can i get a merit? I will be very grateful, If you help me.
Best Regards

You post history is only filled with bounty reports and proof of Authentication posts. I am a fraid you won't get a single merit to rank you up from your newbie rank even if you make 2000 of such posts.

Try to engage in substantial discussions with members or help guide other newbies by answering the questions.

Ok let me explain,

Merit is a reward from someone if your post is high quality and they think your post deserve to be merited.

What is high quality post?
High quality post mean a post made with great value of informative, constructive, educating, helpful and useful when you want to answering other people questions or make a new thread to contribute in this forum.

And what if you have create high quality post and still not get merited?
No need to mad and complain, merit is subjective... you couldn't force someone to merited your post. Always keep posting and contribute in this forum, I believe soon you will get merit. You can also report your unmerited good post to merit sources here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/self-moderated-report-unmerited-good-posts-to-merit-source-5093271

Hi, my activity number is 111 but i'm still a newbie? should i do anything more to be a junior member?
thanks

You need at least 1 merit to become Jr. Member now, @theymos have explain it

Due to excessive garbage-posting, you now need 1 merit to be a Jr Member. All existing Jr Members who didn't meet the requirement were demoted. Also, newbies can no longer set any signature or personal text.

You have to be a trustworthy person. Prove you are a honorable person. Make some deals on the forum. If you honor your part if the deal, you'll earn also Marketplace Trust.

You can find here a few guidelines: Why reputation is essential on the free market. I hope this helps.

I wonder if you lose activity points with that way, changing member role, do you lose your signature?  Huh
Not sure if I understood you correctly but if you meant having a Member account, then losing enough of your activity points results in demotion then you're going to have a certain signature limit based on your new rank...
- Also, certain ranks used to not get affected by this but ever since that post, I've seen a few users with those ranks getting demoted:

IIRC only Newbie, Hero, and Legendary members don't get demoted normally. Maybe I'll fix it at some point, but it's not really a big deal.

Yeah I know, what I said cannot happen, it's too hard. You have to want it in order to achieve it  Grin
But I'm just curious what would happen.

One thing more OP, you write:
~Snipped~

I don't get it. Does this mean that activity can get decreased through over time?
Normally, the answer to that is "NO" but if you only have a few posts in each activity period and all of those posts get either deleted or those threads get trashed, then you'll lose those activity points...

About that:

Quote
The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

I don't get it. Does this mean that activity can get decreased through over time?

Be A Hope

Art contest recognition badge - Art contest winners only. Offered by Theymos to only 5 people who participated in the 10th anniversary art contest.
- Between 1 and 20 (depending on number of submissions) people will receive art contest recognition badges: , based mainly on community consensus of who had the best art. In judging consensus, I will be substantially but not entirely influenced by the total amount of merit your art received.

I have been following this topic for a while. I was wondering when you would add the missing badge. I am honored to carry this badge. Thank you for adding. Smiley

May the inspiration be with you...

How about "trust" how can we possibly earn it?

You can expect to receive positive feedback when dealing with other members. Some might also leave you feedback if you're being incredibly helpful to the community (answering technical questions, exposing scams, etc.)

The trust system is not as simple as in the other forums though, so I suggest reading this article: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5191802.0;topicseen

For those who want to install an avatar with the GIF format at this time can not play the animation.
Here are some other rules when using avatars:
Re: [Serious] Avatar Rules Discussion - theymos

It's been that way for years and it won't change, IIRC the only exceptions are if you had an animated avatar before they were disabled.
