Whenever you want to add a site or promotion link with altcoins, it will come to you as a barrier. Because the benefits you get in this system will double the chances of losing. Because altcoins are always based online, the governing body identifies this as spam. I hope people will listen to avoid their account been banned be safe your investment .

Yes it is true, giveaway threads are not allowed.but l think we should be aware and take good knowledge about crypto basics projects, who are running successfully & produce believe in  the market and  investors. It's my opinion. We should be  touched always.

Giveaways and helping people are good but should be done appropriately. I think there is a purpose for this forum and it shouldn't be jeopardised, so that people can be rest assured the forum is still for Altcoins.
People should make an area up only for coin giveaway to keep stuff in one segment and no all over the place or better still move away from BTT and proceed to Twitter and Instagram for their give aways.

Most giveaway threads are no longer allowed in the Alternate cryptocurrencies sections. From now on, posting or replying to such threads could result in being banned. Existing threads will be locked.

Specifically, you are not allowed to give people any incentive to post insubstantial posts in your threads. You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc. You can do giveaways off-site and link to the giveaway page in a thread, but you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread.

Similar threads are already restricted to Games and Rounds in the non-altcoin sections, but the giveaway-related post volume is so high in the altcoin sections that I've decided to just ban them entirely here.
I already encountered this in some of my forums. Not to mention the name but I really really hate the admins of that particular forum because I felt so betrayed when they banned my account and accussed me from using multiple accounts. On that day I discourage my friends from entering that forum.
Could this be related too? There is such an idea that the bounties are not always carried out correctly and not all are awarded privileges.

Am glad that something has been done to keep this from occurring. Such a large number of themes where been made just to advance and give coins out for individuals to utilize and have a go at making part of presentation and great vibes about coins when most where simply useless. On the off chance that individuals need to do a give away, at that point at any rate do that give-away without anyone else site or a spot where it very well may be finished. Possibly make an area up only for coin giveaway to keep stuff in one segment and no all over the place.

I think that is the best way to stop all those scammer from distracting newbies and getting ride of their hard earn as they are not thinking of better thing than to steal from people.

I even think this forum should also try to let the bounty posting be limit as lot of project are scam and using the freedom of posting to add more issue to people life.

Do you really think so?

I agree with this. It causes too many spams and posts that are highly irrelevant, it's one of the biggest killer of most platforms out there and I am glad this approach was taken.
maybe you are right to say that, obviously this is one of reducing spam that grows a lot, although it also does not guarantee changes will be able to limit the occurrence of spam. but it must always try to find a breakthrough that is beneficial for the continuation of crypto.

It's a measure to control spamming and unnecessary posts, though I think there are some good giveaways but differentiating them becomes the problem. The decision has brought about sanity to the forum because it is meant to increase knwoledge and information regarding the clockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.

People then to misuse opportunities when given, that is when someone will spamming or writing irrelevant things on the tread and it can bring out the greed in us.

Seems like a good idea. It was getting out of control and it's encouraging them even more to create and market 1000000 new cryptos that just saturate the market...

Lots of peoples, big potential, just censored. And it's a good idea ?

Why not a subforum ?

And what's about giving away the 6k of donations peoples did to you to get a nice forum ? Peoples asking for giveaway threads that's why there is a lot. So we gave 6k to get pulled out ?

We need organisation, it's to easy to just forbid.

I agree. I think instead of banning it completely, it'd be better just to control it. For some projects, a giveaway is the only chance to get attention.

Good idea and intention for banning giveaway campaigns and I agreed with this decision. Basically, Bitcoin forum means healthy discussion about crypto projects and make people aware of cryptocurrency. It also provides crypto knowledge so investors and traders get aware of scam projects. So I like the decision and the move.
Actually there is good and bad about giveaway, but it must be seen as the best and very profitable for crypto not to overlap. as long as for repairs and no harm really must be considered carefully so as not to have problems later. if indeed more harm is a good idea not to continue and be permitted.

I think the idea is good and timely.  Many projects are being developed that will never be published.  It seems that their goal is only to collect money from investors.  At the initial stage, they are difficult to distinguish, and people get on the scheme.

If giveaway threads are allowed in a sub-forum where the posts do not show up in "recent topics" or "new replies", then what harm would it possibly do?

There is no particular harm. Only the forum is littered with meaningless topics and messages.

the bitcoin talc site is very modifiable.
Here every year introduces certain innovations.
it's good, because it all starts to be monitored and everything happens fairly well.
Each decision I have two sides of the coin. As for example with the introduction of merit. This is good for the site, but most have stopped raising ranks.

Does this rule mean we cannot reward a user who say for instance setup a block explorer or did substantial help in the community thread and then ask for their wallet address and send them a bounty?
It would be very good if you could reward a person for helping the forum. This would stimulate people to show initiative.
