This is why animals racing and other fight are getting banned to discourage the abuse of animals, animal right is gradually gaining publicity and most of those who use animals fir gambling and betting on them may get jailed in some cases. Subjecting animals to extremely dangerous conditions is no longer permitted and I kick against such practice.
Not all horse breeds are fit on the farm. There's a right breed for farming and racing. What you see on the farm aren't those that use for racing.
Sorry but horse racing is a part of the ecosystem. It benefits humans too. If you are concerned about animal cruelty then be a vegetarian and don't eat meats. There are benefits that horse racing gives. Those cruelties are isolated cases that were punishable by law. If caught, these people will face the law.
There's no perfect industry in the first place that's why instead of banning those, strict regulations should be imposed.
Please do enlighten us that what benefit horse racing or any other animal racing provides. So far we have only seen bad aspects of that. AFAIK, nobody is interested in horse racing as a sports its only for gambling. Better focus on human racing, let animals live there lives.
Racing horses are well conditioned and wouldn't let be in the race if not since it will be a losing horse so I think it might be just a coincidence that the horse died but for me I think it's alright if they don't banned horse racing since what harm does it cause to the horses? They love running don't they?
Yes correct, animals has their own feelings to and they can be hurt as well. For me this can be considered as animal cruelty, people enjoy watching their horses, camels etc races to be on the 1st place but then they didn't even know the practice that these animals are doing before their fight, they are suppose to be in the farm and other things not ont the track.

I agree about the hypocrisy. And if we continue the reasoning in this direction, then there are many jobs that are harmful to health, but still they exist. It is rather strange to make a fuss about the (presumably) high mortality rate of racehorses against such a backdrop. It's probably good that gradually people are more and more worried about animals - this indicates a growing standard of living, but I would say that those who have already raised their standard of living should first worry about people who have not yet grown up than about animals.

Since elite class including government bodies are involved in such sports gambling, its very hard to ban that.
It is not true. Stroke is a sign of ill health and does not happen when you are healthy. Another thing you can not be sure if is how well those horse owners who use them for sports take care of them. You are assuming they should be taking good care of their horses because of the money they make from them and you forget that some people do not care about the tools of their work but how much they make from them. Maybe this is what happens in horse racing too.
I am not expert but we are not sure if the stroke to people is different from the animals but I think if the horse is healthy it will not going to die during the race but we are really not sure the reason if the animal really do have that problem or it is because of too much training or the vitamins they give to the horse.
Man is an animal, only that he is a higher animal. All big mammals have the same internal organs like man and this organs carry out the same functions in both man and animals. Anything that causes a horse stroke will also cause a man stroke long ago because horses are stronger than man. Some of the animals may be healthy before the race but can develop illness during the race like it also the same with man. Have you not seen people slump and die because they develop cardiac arrest? These are people who were healthy before leaving their homes and yet it happens to them.
It should be backed by science stroke on human is very much different in some way from horses, human develop it over time because of abuse on what he eats and what he thinks, horses are made to run, if it's a different animal race where the nature of them is not to run like monkey or turtle then it can develop depression on these animals.
Right and strict supervision and diagnosis should be implemented to fully check the horse's condition, horses can and will run they are created to run but it should be within their limit and must not be drugged to reach the desired results.

With the huge taxes they imposed and the many industries and companies that the horse racing industry is supporting, I don't think it's even possible especially for third world countries like ours where the unemployment is very high, if they clamped horse racing, the unemployment will rise and revenue will decrease.

I agree that in this case strict regulation makes more sense than an outright ban, compared to cockfighting running alongside other racehorses is nowhere near as bad, the issue is the care the racehorses receive as without a doubt there has been evidence of the industry treating racehorses in ways which are inhumane, but if this can be reduced significantly through a heavy regulation then I do not see why horse racing would need to be banned.Horse racing is much better to maintain than cock fighting or any other sports where the animals involved are fighting each other to the death, the government should just impose strick regulation.

I don't think it should be banned, it should be virtualized.
I have seen in the past virtual horse races where you can bet. And this way no horse gets damaged or abused in this sport. I'm not sure if someone offers this game now. But it could be a nice project for big casinos like Roobet or Stake.
Well, if horse racing can be sort of animal cruelty, i guess once it becomes virtualized, no one will dare to suggest banning it. I used to bet on virtual horse racing before and for me, every game is still exciting, same feeling when we watch them physically. I just hope once its already adopted by big casinos, there will be no anomalies just like what happen to online cockfighting that was currently banned in the Philippines. If horse racing needs to be banned, then there comes a big list, because in every country they've got something different from each other. In a video saw about the dog race, bull race is there. Depending on the animal that is being much used people conduct some races and enjoy. As said in one of the above post if these games are to be banned for animal cruelty, then first thing that needs to be banned is the human fights for championship.
It seems that banning animals for betting will have something to do with other things but if the government can provide other bets that can attract gamblers like them playing animal racing bets, maybe the ban will work.But what is clear, this will surely cause a long debate between the government and the betting providers because it will obviously reduce the income of the betting providers because the number of gamblers who bet on animal betting will definitely decrease sharply.
We can wait for the next update news from the government and hopefully, that could be a win-win solution for both sides.

That's also a thing, dog racing and dog fights. It's seen in some countries and people are enjoying to see how cruel they're doing. I'm not a dog lover but I do feel the people who are really in love with their pets that it's not a good thing to watch that they suffer just for the pleasure of the people who manages them. And the same goes for the specific horse racing.

if you want horse racing and gambling above all else banned, you must have political power, you must also have a special position in government, if you do not have any power it is very difficult to stop all that, for what reason do you want horse racing to be stopped ,if your reason is because you can hurt horses, most people will not accept your idea, because you also have to stop boxing matches, boxing fights mostly give people a concussion.
^ I think this will not work in my country, once it is prohibited and banned activity, it should be always banned and no one will prohibit the law.Even though you have a higher position as a political power, there is nothing you can do because for sure there will be people who will report you as a concerned citizen of those horses. Just because in my country, we have animal welfare and rights, fighting the animal cruelty and there should not exist the animal abuse.

We know guys that if there's money involve within this kind of activity or transaction of course large known people under with this event don't want to let this go it's all about their source of earnings but still it depends on the government approval with this kind of game, quite hard to make a decision because we know the different perspective but in my side I'm against too with the horse race game.
If there are a lot of people who make money from this industry then if when you want to ban it, they will all be against you and that will be a community problem with the people who already oppose you.Saying you will ban horse racing will cause thousands of people to be affected, the people who work and their families, they will be rioting against you and at the very least lynch you online with hashtags and all. All of your opponents and their fans will use this and they will try to turn this into a reason why not to vote for you. This is why it is hard to say that you will ban horse racing, maybe something that doesn't impact peoples livelihood would be easier.
