Sports, sports and only sports can help with the high level of stress. The more dynamic is the sport more relax you will be.

Literally my pass time, hobby and favorite way to release stress; meditation! Scientifically, it's proven that meditating is the most efficient way of releasing serotonin and defeating anxiety, stress and depression. You can meditate anywhere you go! Next time you climb stairs, become aware of your breath and every detail about the stairs. Make it a habbit.

Since you were talking about sleep problems:
I personally find it very important to shut my computer and any electronic device with a screen off about 1.5 h before I go to bed and then read something relaxing on paper, go for a walk, do my dishes (yes that usually brings me down Wink) or do some stretching. I think it is proven that bright light from the screen stops your body to wind down, and at least for me it’s true. And also, a specific wind down phase is very important.
Apart from the sleeping problems I would say an active lifestyle is important (but you said you have that already). Another thing that can help is meditation, especially to tackle stress that originates in yourself- and its much less esoteric/religious than it sounds Wink

Not so easy to cope with stress lately. People become angry and tired, we have to solve a lot of problems and a lot of work (to learn). The best help to cope with stress close is people - relatives, friends. You can arrange a small party with friends, go to the cinema on a good movie or just get out into nature with them. Very bad when a person is lonely! In that case you have to meet new people. You can sign up for some collective training, seminar or studio. So don't be too hard to find interesting people, and stress pass unnoticed.

Hi guys im just wondering what are your ways to deal with stress, i can not seem to cope with stress.
Its not just school thats causing this problem for me but other events that occured in my life the past couple of months,
this month has been especially hard, i cant sleep due to the anxiety that i have this is m second night i havent slept.
What are some ways i can relieve this..

Apart from handling your stress management; It is very important to have good social life. Either hobby or hang out with friends to fresh out your brain from your daily task-job-school or family life.

What makes you stressful or when do you feel stressful ? Have you ever faced with your real factors that produce stress ?

I can suggest you to write down your goals and your stressful problems. Than try to work on your improvements or how to eliminate them. These writing lists can help you a lot.

i know it sounds strange, but for me, I find confronting the stress, like battle it head on rather then run from it, helps.  i seem to lose myself in a battle, so, if I battle whatever is causing me stress, the stress of it kind of disappears...

for my family though, they seem to love to burn candles to relieve stress..   Grin

If it is a good kind of stress like work or something very important, I try my best to do and fulfill it first then I relax. But when it is not important then I just disregard it instead.

Pause for a while.
Take things one at a time
Eat well
Sleep if you are feeling very tired
Play for a while and do what you want to ease the tension
In many times, I just try to ignore the problem happened around me, this is how I escape from stress.
Doing sports can really help me reduce the stress. Sometimes, I go for light music.
But the most useful way for me to reduce the stress is sleeping. One sleep can make me forget a lot of problems.

Pet/play with my dog. He can also sense if I'm getting stressed, so he will come and put his head on my lap to pet him.
