I do feel like tax is theft. But mostly because the amount that I get taxed is way too large and I get no saying whatsoever in how my tax money gets used. Most of it gets spent on absolute bullshit that is detrimental to society and the environment, so even if it wasn't theft, it would still be a crime to this entire planet.
We need a tax system in which every tax payer can allocate portions of their tax to different proposed projects. Think of a tax-portfolio. If garbage isn't disposed of properly, then people will reallocate parts of their tax into that area until it's fixed. If governments spend too much on a politician's private hairdresser or their pens (lolGermany/France), then people can take out some of their "politician utilities" tax allocations and shift them elsewhere.
But as is, tax is a necessary evil that is left-over from a time that we should've long moved on from.

Someone taking something from someone without their consent does not "become theft" depending upon how they then spend that stolen money.

If your government is using for good governance then it is good to pay your tax but if your leaders are embezzling the tax payers money the I don't you should be pay tax to them. Many countries are passing through financial and unemployment difficulties today because of their leaders miss management of tax payers fund.
If your government doesn't itemize their services, and let you BUY the services that you want, and not buy the services you don't want, with a receipt showing where your money went, they are embezzling your money from you.

Not really but people whose control the system are the real theft so sad bad truth. If resources were better distribuited the goverment will have a good reputation.

Choosing who to vote for doesn't determine who wins the election.
In the USA, the Electoral College determines who gets elected. The only reason they might attempt to reflect the public's desires is that there might be some flack from the public if they do it wrong. But there usually isn't.
So, once these officials get elected, they appoint all kinds of people to carry out their orders. These people hire others to carry out their orders. By the time it gets down to the the final instructions for the public, it is way different that the elected officials had in mind anyway. That's part of the reason that we have codes rather than laws to follow.

I find it funny that you are making fun of it because it's some kind of true, it is like that. If you plan to make use of your money for the better or for "Good", it's better to donate to a known charity that for sure, not use your money on evil things because I think there are a lot of charities that are frauds and cannot make due to other promises that they say.
