In the wake of Real's second major defeat in the Clasico, you seem very optimistic. I also don't overestimate Liverpool's results too much, I see that Bayern have problems and I enjoy the fall of City. And I also think that Real are the main favorites of the Champions League, but it is obvious that they have problems, in the knockout games a temporary weakness (like with Barcelona) can be fatal.
Realmadrid doesn't have any problem IMO , they just need to figure out their sh*t and it's not like they aren't performing well either just that they can't  win the Elclassico all the time ( it occurs , this is not the first , Barcelona was there as well... that's y we call it Elclassico  Smiley)..
You really think City won't make it far this time around?? then let's see there next games which we determine their fate but I have a strong feeling that they will surely qualify0 Smiley.

I just hope you don't get disappointed in City at the end of the day, because I don't see how City will be able to make it to the semifinals or finals, when we haven't seen them in their best form. Personally, I think you are hyping them too much, because what I see is their old glory in them and not a fight of victory this season. Pep needs to do whatever magic he has to do fast, before it's too late.  Grin
For this season it seems that Manchester City fans just need to see the reality and also be grateful for what the team has achieved because when Manchester City fans expect too much from the team they like and always exaggerate the strength of their team, of course they have forgotten the strength of other teams such as Liverpool, Barcelona and also Real Madrid because those three teams will definitely improve more than Manchester City in the Champions League this season. Because the Champions League is a league full of competition and also the pressure of strength from each team that always brings out their best abilities every season, so a team that doesn't have development in their performance, of course it will be easier to be defeated by their opponents.
Manchester City have improved their performance in recent matches and appear to be a hard working team.   This is also a big reason why many people who had left Manchester City have now started to like it again.  No doubt because Manchester City have just started to build themselves and these teams have established themselves for a long time. All should be well in this league where every team gets a chance to taste victory and enjoy their hard work and performance to watch their rivals down.Manchester City should play in the same way in the next match to improve their record and strength themselve.

And yet in the Champions League they are not in the best position. They won't qualify for the next stage directly, they will only qualify for the knockout stages, but even then there is a chance that they will slip past and leave the tournament altogether if they lose to PSG and their next match, so even in the context of the Champions League it's too early to talk about any outcome

Real Madrid have had some difficult time in the Champions League until this point. However I think there is no need to worry about them anyway. With their experience they can still come back from this situation. One should never forget how strong they are in even challenging conditions.  Smiley  Like the last season example, they can go for a similar run now as well.

Despite everything, they really have a strong bond with Ancelotti. I believe he is really clever with his strategies that he knows what to do in the Champions League. Despite being aware of Liverpool's look, I still see Real Madrid as the biggest title contender.  Wink

Real Madrid still has the possibility to get a win in the champions league if they can change them to be more, their players have pretty good potential but we can't think clearly if Real Madrid continues to make the same mistakes every game they play, if they don't immediately evaluate it might end very badly for Real Madrid, it could be that they have no hope, right? there is an optimistic possibility but there is also a possibility that it is worse than disappointment.

It's quite interesting to see Manchester City battle from bottom in this season's UEFA Champions League when they are one of our predicted champions league winners for this season and it begs one to ask questions like what's fundamentally wrong with the club and what have caused this sudden dramatic change in their performance. Whereas Manchester City is still working with Pep Guardiola as their head coach. The weird part of Manchester City's games this season is that they take most of the possession, shots on target and pass accuracies yet they end up either losing the game or ending it with a draw. Maybe the club needs to work more on its defensive frailties and also work hard on scoring more goals when served with the opportunity. What Arsenal exibited yesterday against Manchester United is a case study of how a Manchester City club is likely performing this season.
I also don't think Manchester City has performed that badly this season in both the Champions League and Premier League. They lost 2 times, drew 2 times and won 2 times, but that is not good enough considering their position in the standings is only 1 point away from the relegation zone. Of course it would be great if they could qualify for the round of 16 this season, but the most reasonable scenario for me to hope for is that Manchester City has to win 3 times including the playoffs.

The most supportive thing so far is Manchester City's improved performance in the last few matches. They have won 3 of their last 3 matches in the Premier League and FA Cup, I think that will be good capital to look at other matches with optimism. Manchester City have to play Brentford and Ipswich Town first before playing PSG for the 7th match, so there is still quite a long time for both teams to prepare.

You are right. And though they are in a dip form in the champions League right now, it would be unwise to count them out because of their poor outing in the Champions League gathering just 8 points in 6 ucl games played so far this season. Despite the 8 points that Manchester City have in the UCL, I am confident that they will be able to progress to the next round of the competition.  With their upcoming UCL match against PSG, Manchester City have a chance to redeem themselves by collecting all three points from the game.

I am completely downplaying Manchester City's chances of doing well in the Champions League. Although they have had dominance in the past, their performance against top teams is currently not good at all. Even in the local league, their performance doesn’t seem to push them towards winning the title. Especially this season in the Champions League, they are disappointing. It seems like they forget how to perform in big matches. The next two Champions League matches are against PSG and Club Brugge. While they are more likely to win these two matches, I still have a question about how much they can achieve this season. However, to secure victories in these games, Manchester City must perform competitively.
You are right, Manchester City not as good we all knew them in the past twos seasons, they have some setback since Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri get injured in the beginning of the season, since then, they have been struggling in all competitions until recently that they get back on track in the Premier League; can they have an improved performance in the Champions League as well even though Rodri is still injured?

Manchester City’s last two Champions League group stage games are against PSG and Club Brugge; I believe they can win the two matches to make it to the next phase of the Champions League, but at the same time, PSG will also want to win their match against Manchester City so that they can also increase their chance of making it to the playoffs against knockout stage; however, we can’t conclude because PSG will be plying at home, so even though their Champions League performance is not too good, they can still hold Manchester City to a draw, and if it happen that way, it will be hard for Manchester City to qualify to the next stage of the Champions League.

But there is one Man City tradition that must be watched out for from season to season, they are very dangerous when entering the beginning of the year. In the EPL, this is a dangerous phase for Arsenal and Liverpool because Man City always step on the gas when entering January, their points always increase when entering the middle of the season. Yes, if you look at the standings it does seem impossible, but I am sure they will finish in the top four.

Likewise with the UCL League, Man City this season is indeed bad, very different from previous seasons they passed the group stage easily. This season, let alone easy, they even had difficulty qualifying for the play-off round, Man City must sweep the remaining two matches and the toughest is against PSG. But in my opinion if they succeed in sweeping the remaining two matches I am sure Man City will be considered again in the UCL this season because of course after going through a difficult period their confidence has increased.

Although Manchester City is still a strong opponent, but this season their performance is not good and also inconsistent and PSG must be able to take advantage of this and must be able to win this match because they will play at home at the Parc des Princes.

However, Manchester City does not seem to let that happen and of course this will be a very interesting match because this is their decisive match and the winner will have the opportunity to advance to the play-off round, and for Manchester City against Club Brugge I will side with Manchester City and they will definitely be able to win this match. However, to fight PSG with Manchester City's current performance I think the result will be a draw because both will certainly play very carefully and also strengthen their defense.

The remaining two matches will be utilized by all teams. Man City lost several matches in the Champions League and that makes them have to be able to get maximum results in the remaining matches. PSG might be quite difficult to beat, especially considering their positions in the standings are also not profitable. Even a draw will not be good for both of them. I think we will see one of them will not qualify for the Champions League knockout stages. Or a miracle happens some of the teams above them get bad results in the remaining matches.
PSG can hope for Arsenal and AC Milan so that both teams can beat Dinamo Zagreb, it will give PSG a chance to finish in the Play Off zone. With the next scenario, PSG must at least be able to hold Manchester City to a draw in the 7th round, and target full points when facing Stuttgart in the last round. That is PSG last way to have a chance to reach the last 16. If more teams drop in ranking, it certainly opens up more space for PSG. However, things are not as easy as we imagine, because Manchester City will clearly refuse to play a draw and they will still try to bring home 3 points from the Parc des Princes.

Yesterday in the City of Jeddah in the Middle East country of Saudi Arabia, the second El Classico of the season was played with Barcelona thrashing Real Madrid 5:2 in that game. After that game, I became worried for Real Madrid who really needs to win their remaining two fixtures in the UEFA Champions League group stage  in other to to be sure of a place in the knockout stage. Considering the performance of Real Madrid yesterday, do you think they'll be able to win their remaining games starting with the visit to Salsburg? Let me read your thoughts

I don't think Madrid will have issues with winning their remaining two fixtures in the UEFA Champions League since their next two Champions League fixtures will see them facing Salzburg and Stade Brestois 29 both of which aren't poising any challenge to Madrid right now but unlike I was confident in the Madrid gameplay last season, this season seems to come with a twist of faith for the Los Blancos. Their unpredictable poor performances this season have seen them suffered from maintaining the 1st position of the La Liga league, Super cup final yesterday with 5-2 goals defeat to Barca and currently battling crossing over the UEFA Champions League knockout stage playoffs, so while it would have been easy to predict a win for Real Madrid last season, this season is more unpredictable for the club.

Manchester City certainly has to maximize its opportunities to get several players in the market. They need a good midfielder and also a productive winger, of course this will help them increase their chances of winning in each match. The competition in the second half of the season will be more difficult, as will the remaining Champions League matches.

It's quite interesting to see Manchester City battle from bottom in this season's UEFA Champions League when they are one of our predicted champions league winners for this season and it begs one to ask questions like what's fundamentally wrong with the club and what have caused this sudden dramatic change in their performance. No one is underestimating City, and they need to fight for their survival in UCL for us to confirm that they are worth to qualify for the round of 16. Same applies to EPL, despite being the defending champions does not mean that if they don't improve their performance, they will be able to finish on top four. City have only won two weak teams and no one knows if they have improved or not.
2021, Manchester City reached the UEFA Champions League final, 2022, they were knocked out in the semi final, they won it competition in 2023 and were narrowly eliminated from the quarter finals last year. Considering the form in the competition in the last four years, I don't think any club in the competition would want to underestimate Pep Guardiola's City.
That said, they've not been at the top of their game this season which is why I personally think that it's acting very possible for them to be eliminated from the group stage of the UCL this season. With 8 points gathered in 6 UCL games this season, Manchester City will play their next match away at Paris Saint Germaine and a defeat in that match might end their hopes to reach the next round of the competition.
Certainly it will be crazy for any team to underestimate Guardiola and Manchester City in the UCL, we know how much they have struggled in their last ten games in all competitions but given their stats in the champions league in the last three seasons they are not to be written off so fast, I think they will at least make it to playoffs and qualify for the next level if things don’t go in their favor against PSG though I expect a win for Manchester City against PSG.

The squad depth can help against unexpected events so that if an injury occurs to a core player it does not affect the outcome of the game. Pep Guardiola does not have a good squad depth so it will be a bit difficult to rotate when his core players get injured and that is evident in how inconsistent their performances are this season. This is different from the previous seasons where the reserve squad they had was no less good than the core players so that even if the players were injured it did not affect the results of the match.

New players are indeed needed because De Bruyne and several other players are not in good form and maybe age factors also affect. So with the presence of several additional players will make Pep Guardiola have options in doing rotation and most importantly not affect the team's performance in the competition.
There has been an improvement in performance from most of Manchester City's main players in the last few games, so I think Pep Guardiola can rely on them. Without too many injuries, I think Manchester City's main squad is still better than PSG's main squad. The reserve players are not too bad, it's just that when the team is down, the main team will also perform badly.

Manchester City certainly has to maximize its opportunities to get several players in the market. They need a good midfielder and also a productive winger, of course this will help them increase their chances of winning in each match. The competition in the second half of the season will be more difficult, as will the remaining Champions League matches.

Now I am not denying the fact that Manchester City can win against all the teams that Manchester City has as opponents but when the competition is with the big teams but in that competition Manchester City will definitely fall behind. The current situation of Manchester City is not very good, then in the middle of the season, the important defender of the team wants to leave Manchester City, but the situation of this team can be worse. If the performance deteriorates rather than improving or if they continue to perform the same way they are currently performing then they have very little chance of doing well in the Champions League. We may not have realized that Manchester City would become such a failed team this season. Things may not be looking good for them this season but they need to build a good team again in the future.

Manchester City may not have been underestimated at the beginning of the season but everyone thought that Manchester City will do well in the Champions League this season as in other seasons but their performance has made them underestimated by many now. I see no chance of Manchester City doing well this season in the Champions League. The battle for the Super Sixteen might not be too tough for Manchester City but if they qualify for the Super Sixteen, it will be tough for Manchester City to win against the opponents that await them in the Super Sixteen. Not only in the Champions League but also in the Premier League we see Manchester City regularly performing poorly. If Manchester City can't improve in performance then they won't be able to finish the season in a good position in the Premier League and they won't be able to secure the next round of the Super Sixteen in the Champions League.

Perhaps you see no chance that Manchester City can do well, but theory sees a chance as they are still around and as of now qualified for the next round, in this case the play-off games. As long as they are in the competition, I wouldn't be to quick with negating their opportunities. They are going through hardships now although they have been correcting some it in the last three games with two wins in the Premier League and going into the next round in the FA Cup. This is something for now. They had so many bad results that this is what they can build upon from here and I think they will.

A win against PSG would be a strong statement because let's face it, beating PSG at home is not like playing against some semi-professional opponent. It is a Ligue 1 team, but they are top notch in regards to the players they have. The big superstar is missing like when they had Mbappe or Messi or Ibrahimovic, but they are still highest level. If Manchester City wins that game, a lot of the aura that made Manchester City so strong would be returning.
Now I am not denying the fact that Manchester City can win against all the teams that Manchester City has as opponents but when the competition is with the big teams but in that competition Manchester City will definitely fall behind. I don't think anyone who knows about Manchester City's performance in the UEFA Champions League in recent years coupled with the fact that they're being me managed by one of the best football managers in the world at the moment would ever want to rate Manchester City as a "weak" team. Considering the importance of Manchester City's game at Paris Saint Germaine, I expect them to approach that game with the best they have since it'll be a make or mar encounter. Their hosts Paris Saint Germaine are also sitting in a dangerous position in the UEFA Champions League table and would also want to get all three points in that game so I expect a very difficult game for both teams.
Man City isn't a bad team, they are still a strong team. I'm sure Man City still has a chance to reach semi-final or even final round. However, Guardiola must improve the performance of the players and their mentality. But to think about the next round, Man City must secure full points in the latest 2 matches in this league phase. Man City will play against PSG and Club Brugge, this won't be easy matches. Especially playing against PSG, they are also strong team and expect to get full points as well. But I am still confident with Man City as long as they will play with their main lineup.
I just hope you don't get disappointed in City at the end of the day, because I don't see how City will be able to make it to the semifinals or finals, when we haven't seen them in their best form. don't blame him.
it is always hard to face the current reality about some of these teams that have been really good in the past but cant stand up to the heat of the present. we tend to always try to find a way of looking at possibilities that looks so slim to push them upfront even when the reality downs on us that things have really changed and the fact is that they might not even proceed out of this current phase. it is just like what is happening to real Madrid, we all want to see them going above this phase but we all know how slim the odds are but what can we say, even though the odds are slim, this is what they are good at doing, they can fight never to loose any of the coming games they are playing from now and luck can just shine on them and they get to win all the remaining games, but the question is, how realistic is that?

lucky for them, things has started looking better for them and if not that they are already at a tight corner where they have to be almost a perfect team with no further losses, it is no something that is bigger than them to do when it comes to coming out of this sort of tight angle. it is that kind of moment when you have to prove to other teams that you are a champion and that you have what it takes to do what only champions can do

Manchester City poor form did stayed for too long and no one expected them to lose form for a very long time like this. This has not happened in the career of Pep Guardiola before and also surprised why things turns out to be so. Playing in the champions league and qualifying to the knockout stage is already an achievement for some teams and for teams like Manchester City, if they can’t make it to the knockout stage, it’ll be a big shame to them and will lose relevance more in the sight of other teams. They have what it takes to qualify for the next stage of the champions league, I hope they’re able to take advantage in the remaining two matches to get full points and get that qualification. It has not been an easy one for them, so they need to put more effort to prevail in this remaining two matches.

Club Brugge may be an easy target for Manchester City, but the Paris Saint-Germain match will not be easy at all. Paris Saint-Germain is a team with the potential to beat them. They are the best team in the French league and their squad is full of young players. We all know that Manchester City has had bad results recently, but they are also on the rise. Getting six points in two matches will take them to the playoffs, but Paris Saint-Germain's goal is also the playoffs and they are in a worse position than Manchester City. They will definitely fight to get three points from Manchester City, and the match will be at their home field. An enjoyable match awaits us.

PSG’s performance in the champions league are mostly not an impressive one even though they happen to be the best team in the Ligue 1 and have dominated the league than any other club there. Due to lack of tough competition in the Ligue 1 has not really shown the true strength of PSG and mostly see them as a not too tough team by other teams when they meet in European competitions. The situation they are in now also necessitates them to win the remaining matches and by so will make them play to their best. This will make the match more interesting and can give Manchester City a tough time to easily win the match. Indeed an enjoyable match awaits us.

Certainly it will be crazy for any team to underestimate Guardiola and Manchester City in the champions league, we know how much they have struggled in their last ten games in all competitions but given their stats in the champions league in the last three seasons they are not to be written off so fast, I think they will atleast make it to playoffs and qualify for the next level if things don’t go in their favor against PSG thought I expect a win for City against PSG.
Manchester City in the past weeks have had terrible results across all competitions after they dropped form, and I'm longingly expecting to see how they will be able to rewrite the story going forward in this their encounter with the German side, PSG. A side that's eager to play to advance into the next round of the competition and possibly find their way through to the Champions League final this season, but looking at the Manchester City's last game, where they trashed their English counterpart Salford City 8:0 at the FA Cup. Therefore, it seems they've beginning to gain their strength back, despite this team being a small club.
