Trading merit is not a good thing for a normal users to grow up in their ranks. Merit point are only given for a good and a quality post it is the goal to change spam user's .

I am of the believe that this Merit system shall in less than no time brings more and more sanity to the forum.[ The more, the meria ], and candidly, merit farmers, spam posters and even the so called "merit traders" shall continue and soon be fetched, bringing and resolving them into non existence at the long run or reduce them to bearest minimum. I can only suggest that every member just need to be free minded during their contribution in the forum, be cautious of abusive words, put up comprehended , compatible and constructive postings, naturally the merit shall come to their Account. The moderators at the same time should equally carry everybody along, not concentrating on our super heroes alone, though they merited it.

I agree that it is good innovation that allows to make forum better and assess users experience on more important indicators

Just try to improve your posts every now and then ,as you make this constructive post more and more meaningful and useful to the forum ,then there will time that you might get some merit of your posts, I know the administrator of this forum would look into the newcomer to this organization that are trying to learn and make good outcomes of what the admin wants to comply for each member for the good of bitcoins.

Merit is the point given to you if your post become useful and constructive. Merit is used to minimize the nonsense topics on this forum. This also applicable on ranking. You need 10 merits and 60 activity to become a member. The sMerit is the points that you can give to others, when you have been merited each merit will have 0.5 sMerit.

It's not easy to earn merit cause member in this forum often don't really care about your post although it's contructive and helpful or not. It's a reason why people are trying to find out the way to cheat Merit system. LOL. But unfortunately almost cheaters got caught and reg tagged

). If anyone wanna get merit I think the easiest way is fight againts alt account and merit cheater then report them in Reputation section.

That is actually a good point. If you only get one sMerit for every two Merits you receive then the amount of sMerit is constantly declining and eventually nobody will be able to send any more merit?

You can't do much about it. Whoever wants to sell merit will sell it, it is the same thing as account sales, whoever want to sell or buy it will do it.
Eventually they will run out of merits, just give new system a month or two to start working properly.

We should expect that thing to happen because if they would offer such thing like merit selling on public post then they would definitely get red trust from dt members which would messed up their precious account.This is why another option for them is to make a PM among other users but this thing would definitely depending if a user if sensible enough to avoid at all cost with such offers.

Yes I like this idea of enabling the people you merited to pass on (part of) that merit to posts they deem deserving.

I suppose soon we will get spam about Merit sale in PM, just like we get an invitation to join an ICO or a bounty campaign sometimes. I am ok with all those merits that I have got, but towards other people, especially those who are on the edge between ranks it is really unfair.

Yeah merit system is quite an effective system to be introduced in the forum as its definitely gonna increase the quality of posts made by the members of the forum and the quality of the forum in the whole. I loved the basic idea behind this concept but it will be effective till people start to abuse this system by trading merits for money. I think the administrator of the forum will have something in order to control this misuse and stop this from happening.

Merit is not buy and sell. Merit is like in your post. So you will improve your post quality for the great merit. If not, get merit your account rank won't increase. So you will improve your post then you get a merit. People will be like your post, then people will be sending the merit your account, Then account rank also increase. People know the marination before using. If need information who will send your account, check your profile the check the merit link. Then you will get some information.

sMerit needs be earned and not to be bought. Also this system will boost the will take out the best from each person to post the quality stuff and in turn the forum will be more informative and will answers more question in a relevant way. This is the best way for people to raise their bar and in a certain way every individual will also grow with the forum.

Yes of course that is the whole point. However that has not prevented a market for trading merit from forming and of course we as the community can be vigilant and report any suspicious activity but in the end this system will work much better if every member understands that it is for the good of the whole forum and every member if we spend our time and energy on creating useful posts instead of trying to trade merit or accounts for purposes that do not contribute to the community.

sMerit is for free and not for sale or trade, but there are some users do trading merit but they already tagged by DT, hope it will be a learning for greedy members who are too lazy and wanting to rank up their account quickly.
sMerit will be given to those member who did great to post more quality and contribute more in the community.

Merit system is necessary to encourage more quality post than quantity. But I think every week or every month, according to rank of member will receive a certain amount of merit. Everyone can give merit to someone who post a quality content.
