Does Simplemining Support the Asus B250 Mining Expert Mainboard?
It has 19 GPU Slots, how many of those are usable in Simplemining? I think i did read the number 16 GPUs somewhere, is that possible?
Do Claymore and other miners even support 19 GPUs?

Would be helpful to know if maybe i can realize 16 GPUs with the Asus B250 Mining Expert & my favorite MiningOS Wink

It has support, but with some bugs.
I can only boot the Asus B250 with 13 vga AMD, maybe I'll get more mixing with nvidia.

29.66mhs (ETH) per RX470 when dual mining is as good as it gets. What's your hash on eth only?

hey guys im using this amazing simpleminning but im trying to get most of my rig so needed an advice for overclocing for fulll hashrate

i own 6 Saphire RX 470 8gb hynix memory

i managed to get it 178hash but is there possibility for more without any issue ofc.

my settings are

core mhz: 1150
mem mhz: 2150

Core Unvervolting: 900

powerstage 6

-epsw x -tstop 75 -dcri 5

any expert can help me out with this please

Hi, on what settings Powerstage and Core Unvervolting work your rx470 / 480 - 570/580

Yes, you do not need the DAG fix.

Try to increase rawintensity, 4GB - 864 or 972
                                         8GB - 1132
And use -w 8

So apparently the two threads are working now because you see 18 of these   ***  [01:09:50] Initialising kernel cryptonight.cl with nfactor 10, n 1024 ***    instead of 9 when the miner first loads.

You the man. So the rig went from 6.42KH/s average to 7.5KH/s with 9 cards at 1150 core 2200 mem, now I can bring up the core to somewhere between 1150-1300 and find the best performance to watt ratio.
Thanks!

RC2 = Release Candidate 2 = New Version

Yes, "-g 2"

Ok, I installed RC2 and setup a new work group using SGMiner 5.5.5 here is my script...

--no-submit-stale --kernel cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://etn.easyhash.io:3632 -u etnkB5oi7TadHKKrKf5d89M9XLAekyHXNG84Mi2j4Gi7BvohmSrx3CKKjAw2fN1WGXGGgUWWV3HfpLR U1BUAqwW219jmQJQJcT -p x --rawintensity 512 -w 4 -g 2 --text-only

I can't tell but I don't think anything changed. After the cards overclock it always says....

[01:09:49] Initialising kernel cryptonight.cl with nfactor 10, n 1024
[01:09:49] Initialising kernel cryptonight.cl with nfactor 10, n 1024
[01:09:49] Initialising kernel cryptonight.cl with nfactor 10, n 1024
[01:09:50] Initialising kernel cryptonight.cl with nfactor 10, n 1024

Then it starts mining away but at the same hashrates... It's still mining with one thread I think?
Is there an easy way to tell when I have it right? I haven't noticed a difference so I think something isn't working right for me.

Also, I see the prompt on the rig now to apply the DAG fix, (Im using RX 580s) I should not do that right? This beta already has that but its just prompting because it doesn't recognize the beta build?

To use 2 threads in sgminer, download the new beta version of SMOS.

http://download.simplemining.net/beta/

Which one rc2 or the other one, what does the rc2 mean?

Once I install this what is the command line string to get it to run 2 threads, is it "-g 2" ?

RC2 = Release Candidate 2 = New Version

Yes, "-g 2"

Hello Fellow users.

Already some update on using claymore equihash on Zpool.ca ?
In the beginning it starts hashing, and that seems wonderfull, but then claymore stops on mining, but the miners are registered on Zpool.ca .
Looking on the board here, it seems claymore is not yet functional on zpool.ca , and those supporting it, are investigating.

So far i managed to get an hour or less on hashrate before it goes away..

First i get share found, and after a while, there is no accepted shares, but connection to Zpool.ca is alive.

Anyone got a clue on how fixing Claymore and equihash on zpool.ca ? Anyone managed to get it running ?

Please let me know.

used command line in SMOS :

-zpool stratum+tcp://equihash.mine.zpool.ca:2142 -zwal 1Az2b34CAXoPPfGUZRwEwvvteTXSLha8xw -allpools 1 -zpsw c=btc -asm 3 -i 9 -nofee 1

Hello! I have a rig of six RX570 cards. One of them is MSI rx570 armor 4Gb. - When I try to overclock, it lowers hashrate. Even when I put default setting for the memory clock (1750) for this card, it doesn't change it. When I don't put any values in the overclocking section, it gives me the default hashrate 22-23 Mhs. All other cards give me hashrates of 28-29 Mhs when overclocked. Is there a way to make this card to give me higher hashrates in simplemining os? In Windows 10 I get 28 Mhs out of this MSI card.

Hello guys! I need advice from experienced SMOS users. Atm im trying to migrate to SMOS from Windows 10 and everything is perfect but the performance. My rigs are based on bios modded RX570's and under Win 10 I can pull 30mh/s but on SMOS after all my attempts I can't go higher than 26.5mh/s.

My Claymore settings are:
Quote
-wd 1 -r 1 -epool stratum+tcp://eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal $walletETH/$rigName -esm 0 -epsw x -allpools 1 -mport -3333 -asm 1 -powlim 30 -mode 1 -ethi 16 -dcri 10
and my Overclocking settings are:
Quote
Core: 1100, mem 2100, undervolt 985, powerstage 7
Can anyone help me with configuration?
Also no matter what I set as core cloak it shows 1041 Mhz in monitoring... also power stage doesn't seem to work? Is there a solution or Pimp /EthOS is the way to go?

SMOS is constantly resetting miner and rig after installing 7th GPU.

Any ideas? How to fix this issue?

It was working fine with 4 GPUs but when I plugged 7 in total, it's resetting the GPUs constantly.

Any help is appreciated, thanks a lot!
replace risers
in 90% - help!
have 6 rigs with differents gpus fom 8 to 12 each

many times i constcuct new rigs, i have situation as you describe - at the end always solutions was - replace risers or replace pci-e splitter

LOL same risers work under Windows.

LOL the same risers under Windows you're complaining about in the MSI Afterburner thread?  Tongue

Hi there, I am having a weird issue.

I have Win10 installed and fully updated to latest stable one.
On this rig I use 7 x 1080TI cards however a few hours later I start the windows, some GPUs randomly drops from MSI Afterburner and becomes uncontrollable like in the image.

Image: https://ibb.co/ciFZ3R

You can see that 1st GPU dropped now. It happens randomly and this is really boring.

Anyone can have a solution for me?

Thanks a lot.

So you genius guy think MSI Afterburner issue is related to risers?  Cheesy Cheesy

So you think it's not?  Cool

Yes it's not related to risers, because I've fixed the issue now and everything works perfect, LOL.

Today i tried XMR-Stak-AMD for Electroneum and connection works, also with ClaymoreXMR.. but i had it little bit unstable on my 6x RX 580 rig with SMOS so i go back to Claymore-ETH.

Edit: is there some news about VEGA support in future releases?

I got SGMiner and ClaymoreXMR working with my RX 580s but the ClaymoreXMR was very unstable no matter what settings I did... it got much better hashrate but was not stable at all. You went back to Claymore ETH to mine ETH stuff or you got it working for Electroneum too?

Do you or anyone else know how to run 2 threads with SGMiner in SM OS?

You would typically do the following in windows

"rawintensity": "512",
            "worksize": "4",
            "gpu-threads": "2"

I tried -g 2 to try to get it use 2 threads but it didn't work so I'm just doing  raw 1008 worksize 8 threads 1

To use 2 threads in sgminer, download the new beta version of SMOS.
