That would not be a bad idea to see him with Ferrari especially now that he has developed a huge experience in F1 despite him being only 24 years of age.He needs to win this title and another one and I am sure he will then be ready for any major team like Mercedes or Ferrari or McLaren if they come back to their glorious times.

The fact is though that when he won last Championship he said a clear message to the Redbull team let's do this for another 10 years to come so I think it will be difficult for him to move from Redbull if Redbull keeps offering him a winning car.

I don't see a single reason for Verstappen to switch at the moment, Mercedes already have their Hamilton successor, McLaren haven't had a car that could dominate for years and Ferrari is a separate issue, remember Kimi was the last world champion there, all the other big ones including double and quadruple world champions have failed miserably at Ferrari, why would Verstappen even begin to do that to himself?

Now that Porsche is also joining Red Bull, you have a traditional name on the car again. Maybe every great driver wants to become world champion with Ferrari, but only a few have really made it, which might also be a reason why Hamilton never switched to Ferrari.

Max Verstappen = Pure Speed, Always in attack mode and very talented in passing, strategy, aggression, tire protection, extreme speed in the rain and tremendous vehicle control (You can watch 2016 brazil), he is also a leader. Ambitious and aggressive, dominant. He will always play for the 1st pilot and the championship. Being a dominant driver, retreating to the pit crew when necessary. We are watching the new Schumacher, you know. I would love to see him with Ferrari. I am sure that the majority of those who support Ferrari will want to see Max in Ferrari.

Currently the WSBK race is much fiercer than MotoGP although there is a slight difference in the number of points in the temporary standings after the WSBK race in the Czech Republic yesterday.
I see that Toprak has started to reduce the points gap with Rea and Bautista after winning the SP Race and Race 2, while at the time of Superpole and Race 1, Toprak was only able to finish second and now Toprak is only 38 points away from Bautista as the leader of the standings and 7 points from Rea is in second place in the standings. So Ferrari definitely doesn't want to win the world championship, at least that's what it looks like. For Verstappen it can't go any better, the world championship title will be handed to him on a silver platter, unlike last year. I can't imagine that Perez (who is currently performing rather poorly) or LecLerc will be able to close the considerable gap.

And there was the win for Verstappen. Unbelievable how he managed that. He started this race with a new bike, but it turned out to be a very strong bike. Leclerc and Sainz ultimately had no chance of the overall victory. There is no size on Verstappen, he has really won many times this season, but he can frame today's. He had to overtake a lot of people and in fact it is a miracle that he did not crash somewhere. We get a simple victory in the world championship with Verstappen this season, it will never be as exciting as last year. It was a very nice ride to watch today.

I had to stop watching the race after like 1/3 of the laps done and there Verstappen was on 4th or 5th place and he did not really look faster than the two Ferraris or even the two Mercedes, so i was very surprised when i saw the result and that Verstappen somehow managed to win that race again. Now i watched the race highlights and i still don't really see a reason why he won but ok. What is really strange to me is the fact that suddenly both Ferraris became so slow in the second part of the race. Especially Leclerc could not keep up with the Red Bull and the Mercedes anymore once he had the hard tyres on. Very weird.

Binotto needs to be sacked.

Superb race from Max and as I said Mercedes is back and maybe they will be even the car to be beaten if, as it seams, the rules will changes from SPA

I don't know if we can say impressive finish for Verstappen because there is a huge difference between cars. He has by far the fastest car and these results are not surprising. Great finish for Mercedes though. They lost first place but made double podium. Hamilton was great again, now imagine if he had same level car as RB Racing. He would definitely be in first place in rankings. Wrong calls on Ferrari continue, they are out of podium again. I wouldn't want to be in Leclerc's shoes. He has to deal with these idiots in every race. Now there is a short break for Formula 1, hopefully it will come back as more competitive.

The race has been a lot of fun so far truthfully. We have seen many nice overtakes and I really loved the one Leclerc got past Russell. I don't know why Ferrari chose hard tyres for Leclerc now because he is very disadvantageous against Verstappen now. Verstappen didn't have any difficulty in overtaking him at all. If I were Ferrari I would call Leclerc to pit right after this overtake and prefer soft or medium tyres to push to the end. But that opportunity is way behind now.

Nice how Max Verstappen drove from P10. He didn't just become world champion. How many drivers would have imitated him? He rides first and according to the bookmakers is now a huge favorite to win, given the odds of 1.40 to win. Leclerc and Sainz both at 7.00 at the bookmakers, so it looks like Verstappen will walk further away from Leclerc and one step closer to the world title. Still handsome. Leclerc will have to wait another year to become a serious challenger again. The car has too many technical defects.

The Hungarian GP is almost always marked by unexpected pole positions. I've been researching here and found out that it has hosted debuts like Damon Hill, Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button, Heikki Kovalainen and Esteban Ocon... all of them had their first pole position at the Hungarian GP.
But, did Russell just have a stroke of luck like the others you mention or does he have a real chance of winning the GP tomorrow?

The circuit in Hungary is quite "locked" and with very difficult overtaking, but I believe Russell has a chance of winning, if the team doesn't make a mistake in the car setup or put too much load on the tires.... tomorrow we'll find out.

Both Ferrari drivers in the post interviews yesterday after qualifying insisted heavily that tire management will be the race winning strategy for today race.I think Russell has a good chance to win the race if the race is run in normal conditions, meaning without rain and without Safety car entering the track and of course he needs to come first in the first turn.

Just half an hour to go before the race starts and the odd for Russell to win the race is really good compared to the Ferrari drivers, sometimes we need to have guts and be bold and place a bet on him although he has never started first.

The memes with Goatifi are still going on Twitter and man let me tell you that I've had good times scrolling down and see most of them.

Regarding the pole , Russel was a 10 out of 10 on track but did anyone notice Sainz look ? He was so angry at him that he missed the pole as the drove perfectly for entire session but Ferrari are having a great chance tomorrow to snatch points from RedBull and also both Sainz and Leclerc can take points from Max individually.  Grin

Verstappen was pretty angry today. Normally he is in the top 4 at least in qualifying but this time there was quite a problem with his car. Resulting in a 10th starting position. A bad day for Red Bull as Perez didn't even make it to Q3. Russell will start first tomorrow and Leclerc second, but I think Leclerc is already past Russel in the first corner. We should not immediately write off Verstappen for tomorrow, but these developments today are nice for the championship.

I told you back in weeks, Mercedes is reboring and they even are the team to beat after Spa with the new regulations.

Ferrari needs to get the maximum point available tomorrow to get a change for the title but it is probably already late.

Woow I'm surprised, RedBull seems to have problems on this track and did really bad in qualifying. But the Bug surprise is Russel and Mercedes, I'm happy for Russel and his first pole position. But my favorite for tomorrow is Ferrari, if they still want to fight for the championship they should definitely get a double victory tomorrow.

WTF Russell? Did he cut some corners?   Angry

So a badly day for RBR

It was a well deserved pole,I knew that something would happen in Hungaroring like it happened last year when Ocon won the race here.I never expected to see Russell on pole though, which will make the race really beautiful if Russell manages to get out first from the first turn,it will be difficult for him but who knows because he lacks experience compared to Sainz and Leclerc when it comes to front row starts.

Latifi had a purple S1 and then green S2 and then qualifies last because he made a really big mistake in the last turn of his fastest lap, strange things happen all the time in Formula 1 but I never saw a lap like this one through many years that I follow this sport.

Horrible day for RBR, Perez out from the top 10 and Max got no Power, he is now hoping he can save his engine.
