The 2022 MotoGP World Championship has started in Qatar. Bagnaia lost control of his motorcycle at the corner causing him and Pramac Ducati rider Martin to be eliminated. This was very sad for them. Bastianini who started the race very eagerly passed the opponents one by one and gained the leadership in the first corner when the final five laps were reached. Using his 1.5 second advantage Bastianini won his first MotoGP victory.

We are in the final week ok the F1 test and most of the cars will uncover secrets this week.
The test will be in Bahrain, where the 1st race of the season will take place.
8 hours per day since Thursday.
Also, is it rumored about (already) an irregular car, in this case, Redbull.
Testing is never really the real results of the teams. Last year Mercedes had one of the worst testing results of any team and they still ended up winning the season, maybe lost in the drivers but won the team cup and that should show us that testing is never really the important aspect. We need to wait for Bahrain, and that is usually a great race to show the power of the engine as well. Sure there are some good turns there as well but the straight race power is a lot more important on that one.The test will be in Bahrain, where the 1st race of the season will take place.

And I believe that we are going to see Mercedes do awesome there again, engine did not changed much, just the speed while being close to each other changed big time, rest should be a little less difference. So, I am guessing Mercedes will have a field trip during Bahrain and if that is actually the case, we are going to see them dominate the season again.

My guess wasn't wrong, but I was surprised by Bastianini he was able to steal the crowd's attention. Maybe he's looked good since qualifying and performed well in the race. Bastianini became the first rider to bring Gresini's team back to the championship after 16 years. Congratulations Gresini, I hope you continue to be stable.
There is clear evidence of Yamaha in this race to immediately improve its speed, if there is no improvement it may be a bad season for them.
Bastianini's dedication is indeed very big and he has dedicated the victory to the late Fausto Gresini who has built the Gresini Racing team in his lifetime and what I see Bastianini is more suited to the specs of this Ducati GP21 motorcycle, even though it was last year's motorcycle spec but it is still very fast to use in the race and one more thing that Bastianini chose the right tires that night.There is clear evidence of Yamaha in this race to immediately improve its speed, if there is no improvement it may be a bad season for them.
The last specification from Ducati, last year's model, is very competitive, even the factory Ducati riders use last year's engine because the engine doesn't behave so aggressively.
But Yamaha can't do anything about the engine this season, the engine specifications are frozen for this season and only Aprilia is allowed to work on the engine, but for how long? Think Aprilia is strong enough this year to lose the concession points status.

Congratulations to Enea Bastianini who managed to finish in first place at the opening of the Qatar MotoGP race this season, when the race started Marquez and Pol Espargaro started the race well but both were unable to maintain their position properly so they were overtaken by other riders, it's a shame Bagnaia and JorgeMartin because that incident they didn't get any points because neither of them could continue the race until the end. Enea Bastianini managed to win because he used Soft - Medium tires so that he was able to maintain the tires and race rhythm very well and was able to create fast laps during the race.The next race which will be held at the Mandalika Indonesia circuit seems very exciting to watch because this is the first time a MotoGP race has been held. And what is very unfortunate for Marquez because he has doubts about the Soft - Medium tire pair because he had crashed during the WUP and tried to use Soft - Soft tires during the race which the results were very disappointing. My impressions of the first MotoGP race are as follows: the manufacturers are closer together than ever before (except for Yamaha, which is very weak). So almost anyone can win and it has to be ridden on the last "groove".
Marc is competitive but not yet fully fit, the factory Ducati team was disappointing in the first race, Honda, Aprilia and Suzuki have made great progress, Yamaha is as expected not competitive and won't be this year because there are no engine upgrades allowed. If Marquez is able to start well it could be that he will be champion today. Then for a good start they will start from grid one and two. It's hard to guess the winner today, but my guess favourites are the three riders who started the lead. If you look at the qualifying results, it looks very yamaha so helpless with the power of the bike. The dominance of large power motors is on grids 1 to 10. Yamaha is only Quartararo the best in 11th position. Quartararo and Marquez haven't had luck today, both are finished in the 9th and 5th positions, domination is still Ducati and Suzuki. Even though Marquez was in position 2nd position behind Espargaro in the first lap but both can't do until the finish. In another side, a favorite champion, Bagnaia because a crash, get incident with Jorge Martin. in the next race in our country, Mandalika. If someone wish Quartararo a champion maybe it takes luck. The new season of Drive to survive is coming up this week. I am guessing that there will be plenty of things to see that we did not see. It has been one of the most weird seasons ever. I have to say there were decisions made by the officials that decided the winner for sure, but there were decisions made by them for both sides all season long.
Like I would say Hamilton should have gotten a points penalty for that Silverstone accident, whereas he ended up getting the most points, that is the type of thing could be found for both max and Hamilton all throughout the season. I am still on Quartararo for this session, even though in 11th position when Yamaha improved the top speed problem, Quartararo will be fast to increase on top race as we can see the last years. I also believe so for Quartararo, but for Marquez I have seen him as someone who has fully recovered (100%) because if he is still sick, then the related parties or dorna will definitely not allow Marquez to compete in this season or in the opening race this time. For victory, I also still doubt Marquez in this opening race because he finished third because he was able to take advantage of Sleep Stream through Joan Mir during Qualification. There are less than two weeks to go for the first race weekend to start. And I'm just looking forward to watch this season. Because we have entered a new era in F1 and I really wonder whether we will see different teams rising and fighting for the championship this time. I'm curious about especially Ferrari right now. Because their car seems to be really promising for this season. They still have a little problems though but their speed is really great now according to the pre-season tests. Last season was the best of many I've seen, as I don't remember seeing a trophy played until the last few minutes of a season. Despite the controversies involved, it was a very electrifying season. But I agree with you that it would be nice to see new teams on the podium, and I also hope to see Ferrari shine again this year. legendary

Well, I think it would be not that easy to find someone would be worse than Mazepin. He was in the team just because of money from Uralkali. Money stopped flowing and he isn't needed anymore. Paid drivers always leave a bad taste, and quite apart from the Russia/Putin links, I'm glad he's gone. There are plenty of other more deserving drivers who never get a chance. It would be great to see everyone getting a seat purely on merit, but that's certainly not always been the case in F1, where money talks more than in some other sports. March 06, 2022, 06:38:01 AM
Starting in 3rd position is not a bad thing for Maquez even though his position is surrounded by Ducati riders because I think Marquez is able to keep up with these riders and will try to put a little pressure on him, the opening of the Qatar race this season is not favorable for Quartararo because he will start the race in 11th place so he has to go the extra mile and not make the slightest mistake to at least be able to finish 7th or 8th. Did you see last year's Race there ? where Quartararo who also came from behind but was able to finish in front by taking care of everything including tire wear before the race was over.In general, on paper, Yamaha has not benefited this season, but if their riders can give more in the race, then finishing ahead of the others is still very possible for Yamaha riders.
