Can Japanese people withdraw money to their bank accounts at shortest time?

Residents of Japan can probably do it fastest. Since the new year however there has been a steady delay which I think is growing slowly longer. I submitted a withdrawal on the 5th and it took 8 business days. It seems like ones following have been 10b.d. or so. I submitted one on the 27th and obv will let people know when it goes through.

Gox will be releasing a statement later today regarding btc withdrawal delays
And here it is.  The transaction queue has been decreasing for the last 8 hours, btw.  They could actually be working on it, as they claim.

So CCMF or price down? Not sure when it comes to Mtgox.  Grin

It s about JPY deposits.
They set a new way for deposit which consists in granting each customer a specific bank account from Japan Net to make the deposit smoother.
Well ok.

But what about JPY withdrawals?

Have they stopped everyone from attempting withdrawals while this is going on?
I'm getting the following message when I attempt to access my Funding options:

'account has been restricted from accessing funding options'

Is everybody getting this?

Gox will be releasing a statement later today regarding btc withdrawal delays

any source?

I was chatting with two members of Gox support earlier. They said there will be an announcement today (sorry i don't have a screenshot). I asked them was it bad news i.e. exchange closing / liquidity problems. They said no, not at all, they just needed people to be patient.

They said it was a 100% technical issue, a "dust problem" whatever that means.

I asked if Mark K could reproduce the "trick" he did one other time to prove they were solvent i.e. move a heap of BTC between two internal wallets so we know they have the coins. The support guy didn't commit to doing it but said it would be raised with Mark K.

I guess we can only wait and see.

Normally I'd make the joke about how the scammer is stalling for time by asking everyone to be patient, but I just got 2 withdrawals instantly again. So can't complain  Tongue

what were the amounts?

Over 10 BTC, but less than 100.

Good to hear. I don't feel they can be insolvent with so much revenue you can generate with cryptos nowadays.
I don t think mark is a scammer, otherwise he would not have given back the coins that were stolen back in 2011 when mtgox was hacked.
However, I feel that they lack discipline and support staff, tremendously. But because they want to keep a high level of secrecy they are reluctant to doing so. Some ppl say it s a French mafia over there at MtGox in the sense that they do not trust so much non French staff. I am not sure about that. But certainly it can create communication barriers.

But come on now they need to change that.
Bitcoin is a key tech to make a world a better place and they are still the number 3 exchange out there.
So they still have a huge responsibility. It is not only about making money. Any more.

By the way how did you get to chat with the staff? It seems that they are never available.

I don't think he is either. But where do you start drawing the line between admitting there's a problem or sitting in silence. It could be argued he's scamming those innocent people who deposit fiat in Mtgox.

As I see things, it boils down to two basic possibilities:

1)  Mt. Gox felt the heat after the Conilabs fiasco (in which they very commendable refused to hand over their customer lists and historic data to what is very likely a U.S. law enforcement agency) has been acting as a honeypot since that time because Mark doesn't have the balls that Ladar Levison does.

2)  Mt. Gox is simply deceptive which cause me personally to lose my identity dox and $5k unnecessarily.  A simply honest statement about their inability to wire USD would have saved me the loss.  I don't care that much about the 5-large (it being a deliberate choice about how much to risk with these guys), but the identity docs hurt since if they get released more widely it's going to haunt me for life.

Either of these two things lands Mt. Gox and Mark Karpeles squarely on my shit-list.

I made a support ticket 3 days ago. It has number XXX0000.
I made a second support ticket today. It has number XXX3000.
That means they could have up to 1000 tickets a day.
How are they supposed to answer on a timely manner 1000 support tickets every day with only a dozen of people?

I noticed they hired this guy last dec. -jp.linkedin.com/pub/michael-toy/24/a5b/443-
His role is Customer Support Manager.
I hope they are trying to catch with their backlogs quickly.

Getting more people to give empty boiler-plate replies to tickets regarding missing withdraws won't help. These tickets are just a symptom of the underlying problem: you can only withdraw from emptygox in JPY, which takes a week, or EUR, which takes a month. They have no volume these days and there isn't a huge inflow of new very stupid people who sign up at emptygox. People who have been waiting for their withdraw for months are obviously going to open tickets about it. duh.

Requested 2 withdrawals last week one on Tue the other on Wed.
Now we are Friday.
Still counting.
In Japan rather than 1w, it has become 2w maybe 3w now.

An update on my previous post on withdrawal of JPY from MtGox, and some good news.

The withdraw i made on the 8th Jan, is now showing as "processed", and the funds have hit my bank a/c

The other withdrawal, I made, the one on 9th Jan is still showing "confirmed", maybe the status will change tomorrow.

Good to hear.
Wondering if processing speed is dependent upon the amount of cash you withdrawal.
In my case i withdrew twice, 8btc and 6btc worth respectively.
How many days did you wait till you got an answer from the support team to your ticket btw?

Rumor has it that that is exactly the kind of  software glitch excuse you need to game a ponzi as long as everybody is still "hoping"...and besides that it never took longer than four days

in the past that a broken tx finally came.....right now they are piling up and none of em are resolved.....again breach of fiduciary duty !

they could easily sort this out  by just sending the 1450 missing BTC - transactions by hand in a 12 hours workday instead of opening 70000 support tickets.....

There are a few long standing bugs in their wallet code which have led to BTC withdrawal problems many times, and the rumours say Mark wants a real fix this time.

Rumor? Pfffft. With how the system he has is running anyone in their right mind would want to fix it. No need to speculate with a rumor lol
