My advice is you must read more information about altcoin, and don't be shy to ask if you don't understand it, and last must be practise, in practice because the knowledge is faster you understand when you practice it. 

My simple advice is just keep on gaining more knowledge and how cam you gain? Just post in some threads and read some of those answers and you can easily widen your learnings about altcoins. There are millions of altcoins are there and not all of them are successful. There are only few of them are successful like ethereum, for me that is the most successful altcoin. So if you wanted to invest on altcoins probably chose ethereum rather than anything else. Join in a bounty campaign to have a lot of coins

you should seek knowledge of allcoin. I guess if you want to get involved with crypto, you should know it first. a lot of allcoin here, but you have to have knowledge. my advice you are looking for learning knowledge about allcoin.

Being new to the altcoin, it can be very taunting as there are 100 or even thousand of possible coins to hold. So you seems to have endless input of information for you to choose. I would recommend to know more about the basic and long term coins that have shown that they can withstand the competition of others and still able to grow and develop better. These coins will be more safe and is good to have a big portion of these to form your base investment portfolio.

Yes that's true! you should invest what can you afford to lost because investment on altcoins is also a gambling. There are a lot of ICOs now that has a good offer but you must carefully select few of them, search first the background and team behind the project before investing. There are also investors that already success of their investment and some is get scam.

As a newbie it can be risky to get directly into altcoins as there are many shit coins available and if you invest in it without any knowledge then you will loose your money with an blink of an eye so do your own research and then select some good coins for investment.

if you are newbi let me give you some advices about earning here. First of all you should chek AIRDROPs it can be profitable in the start. Thats a good one you need to also know more information about altcoins and bitcoins when you have a lot of information you can start with investing in altcoins. Altcoins are after Bitcoin so they were made after the main coin Bitcoin. I would suggest you to invest in Bitcoin first, because other wise you can't handle altcoins.

Yes, but what if it goes down very hard but really very hard. Would you advise him then to hold it more ? I would sell my coins when i see not future about that altcoin.

i have been working on bitcoin before, i have bitmind ideas about bitcoin, but I have never worked with altcoins, so I have no idea about altcoins! So I need some help about of altcoins.

Buy and hold actually I think that altcoins are very risky and complicated for a beginner. Better start with only bitcoin and understand it move on to altcoins

Hey i see that you are new so lets me explain. Altcoins are like coins but they are made after bitcoin the main coin. Investing in altcoins is a smart thing to do many people have made a lot of money.

I know a friend that holded a altcoin for a few years and then the price went up he sold them all. He made money for patience actually.

maybe you have a close friend that you have ask some advice fro that was your advantage so you avoid some problem.

When I was newbie, for the first i learned to fill out the bounty form correctly and read a lot about bitcoin, after getting enough experience, I started to learn to understand the trade in altcoin world .

do not rush on things.
before you will invest into any coins you must first do your own research..
of course you could ask people in this forum.
but i say to you if you will conduct your own instead of relying to others.
this way you will not regret whatever will be the outcome of your investment...

Don't make mistakes that most noobs do:

- Don't make any big trades until you get more experienced in the market. Actually, I think it's better if you only test-trade your strategies for a few months, and do big trades only if they succeed.

- Never trade with the money you can't afford to lose! Seriously people! Getting loans and selling stuff to buy alts? 

- Buy alts with good future, and hodl them for a while. Don't sell at %20 profit, or you'll regret your choice...

- Always research and improve yourself.
