It's official!!!!! Ten Hag survives from getting axed by INEOS. He may be leaving once his contract expires. But, I think it's an understandable decision. He helped his club win two trophies. This may be why they were reluctant to sack him.

Also, I'm shocked Manchester United gave Ten Hag a one-year extension. They may be ready to give him additional money to rebuild his club again.
Maybe the official compared with another club which have the same problem with coach. Yes, I agree to management big club like MU is not instant, the coach need much time to managed team to be solid. If they fired ten haq today, and recruit new coach that make teams will start again from the beginning and the possibility a new coach will make a new mistake then the official will repeat again to fired a new coach and recruit a new coach again, so on. Everyone knows finding a good coach is hard nowadays because they already have jobs and feel at home at their club, I think the official was make the right decision to extend it, but ten hag don't be fooled being noticed, because he have hard work and must make the team should be better from today.

How much time does Ten Hag needs to bring the club performance to solid when he has spent more than two years in the club as a head coach. I think that there is a lot going on in Manchester United that we don't know with Ten Hag and the management, if not why not get his ass kicked after lots of poor performance. Maybe the management is still having big hope on Ten Hag that will will bring home another trophy this again, so that Ten Hag can reassess himself and conclude with 3 years, 3 trophies to intimidate the fans and management in order for contract extension  Grin. But I guess that will not happen.

It is a big decision made by Manchester United owner to tell the truth. Jim Ratcliffe decided to take a bigger risk by moving on with Erik ten Hag.  Sad

Is this all just because he won the FA Cup and EFL Cup in the recent years? Do they really think this is enough to continue managing a team like Manchester United? I mean you can give a manager 1-2 years first to see what changes. You can even do more by waiting for the first weeks of his 3rd season as well. But if he is still not improving in especially the Premier League then it must be over already. We will see if he will make it to the end of the season.

I admit that Ten Hag has not given a positive impact in the last 3 seasons but sometimes a coach really needs time to be able to improve the team's performance and bring Man United to a higher level. But in this case, Ten Hag has not been able to give anything and we all do not know what happened behind this problem and of course we just have to wait for the decision of Man United's management. If it is still maintained, there must be something that we cannot know behind all these problems. What is certain is that we just have to see until January.
Time is not on the side of the Red Devils because they're currently weigh below the expected position on the league table, they have to bounce back to streak winnings if they're keen on having a proper extensive stellar performance. What's currently wrong with the club standards of performance? You will blame the coach, the team's board or the players? Personally they're all to be blamed because all sectors tends to become reluctant when it comes to the crucial dealings of the club. Besides on the records, Manchester United management still have high hopes on Erik Ten Hag? I don't see the manager having a prosperous season with the Red Devils, rather we're watching a sack. The same coach we're all complaining about was exactly the manager we all regarded as the chosen manager to fastenup the improvement of the club.

Did you see this guys?  Huh  While we were waiting on what will happen to Manchester City about the breaches, this came out of nowhere. They already started to win against the Premier League. I'm really curious how this case will be concluded...
There is nothing to be curious about anymore than we already had in this case between Manchester City and the English Premier League, like the tribunal findings says it all, that at the end of the entire legal battles everything will fall in place in the favour of the Cityzens club. I think for me, it will be very much unfair with the intended sanctions the EPL management intends on lashing on Manchester City because it's definitely going to be detrimental to the club's prestige and position in the league. Maybe they should have found ways to come up with different application to the issues on ground rather than the manner they had initially intended.

Manchester United fallen into a spiral. Two years and counting, we are yet to see results from trusting the process with Erik Ten Hag. Many fans are calling for his sack but the club still believes Erik Ten Hag is the best option for the club right now. The issue with Manchester United isn’t just poor attacking but also in defense, passing and midfield creativity. They are playing like kids who just got a football for the first time. ETH has failed to bring in the quality of players that can turn the situation around and until that aspect of recruiting the right players is addressed, Manchester United will continue to struggle.

So you didn't get results from EtH's first season? What a joke! I will not mention the second season but, you didn't see how Erik ten Hag did during his first season, setting home records at Old Trafford, won a trophy during his first season, played two finals in his first season, qualifying for the Champions League Competition and also finishing third position? They raise a dump agenda and most of y'all just jump and hop on it the way these h**s hop on them d!cks! Goddamn. Rebuilding a club takes time and I never expected quick and immediate impact, don't forget players left and some new names came in. I'm not just comfortable with the Rasmus Hojlund signing and some lads. Not all!

And regarding Ten Hag, to be honest, he really can't be blamed because perhaps a coach needs time to improve performance. But what Man United is currently achieving makes football fans think negatively about the coach.
How much longer will it take for Erik Ten Hag to handle Manchester United? Is the time they have spent so far only a short time? Almost 3 seasons and Erik Ten Hag has not been able to improve the club's overall performance and still tends to be inconsistent if the club gives Erik Ten Hag a chance for a long time I think the club will go bankrupt over time they spend a lot of money in every transfer window but cannot provide positive results.

In my opinion, Manchester United's draw is not a bad result, at least Man United can still get 1 point because I initially thought Aston Villa would beat Man United like they beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League because if we judge from the performance point of view, Bayern Munich is better than Man United but fortunately Man United can maintain a good enough defense so that Aston Villa cannot break through their goal. Some people think that the Man United match with Aston Villa is a benchmark for the continuation of Erik Ten Hag's service if Man United loses again, but unfortunately every time I hope Erik Ten Hag is fired, there is always something that makes this coach feel safe and Man United management is still reluctant to fire Erik Ten Hag.

Well that's what makes me a little angry with Man United's management whether they really turn a blind eye to their own club's bad results and give excessive praise if Man United gets good results even though only in a few matches. Even though comparison Man United has experienced bad results that are almost equivalent to their winning results. The club's management must open their eyes and give Erik Ten Hag a firmness so that he has a fear if his career is threatened and optimizes all his efforts for the club.

Like I did said in my previous comment on another premier league thread on this board, I don't completely believe that only Ten Hag is the reason behind the fall of Manchester united, if he was the main and major problem, I don't see any reason why the management still decided to keep him knowing fully well that it will be a waste of time and resources in the end, or is this really a case of "the devil you know is better than the angel you don't know"? Are they really afraid that if they sack ten hag now, they may likely end up with a coach that is worser than the current one?

Well, one thing I know for sure is that, running a business requires alot of critical thinking and calculations, most especially in times of challenges like this, because any wrong move, may likely lead to the complete closure and possibly death of that business.
So, I want to believe that the management of man united simply want to take their to find out what is really the root cause of their problems, in order for them to not out of desperation, end up making a the mistake of sacking a man that may likely be innocent.

Agree. It is funny that a draw result is considered as an improvement of Man United performance. If they failed to win the match, it means no improvement at all. Aston Villa is strong team now but Man United should have a chance to beat them.
.........................

Of course this is not an improvement although in the end this result still seems better than not getting any points at all but it is definitely not an improvement as they are still the same.
And the problem is that again and again this makes ten Hag more confident in being at Man United even with his achievements like that.
and indeed if the standard is like this, it will be difficult for Man United to really be able to advance and develop again. They need more than just that, more than that. Or they will just be at that level, maybe even much worse.

This must be a complete joke. Just how did they end up with this decision?  Grin  After all that unsuccessful run they are really ready to give another chance? While not even making any progress? It is just... very interesting. Then Erik ten Hag stayed probably until the end of the season for now. I hope he finds a way to save this team otherwise it is going to be a huge waste of time.

Helping Manchester United to win the Fa Cup and Carabao Cup is a big excuse by the board for not sacking Ten Hag despite his poor stats this season, I think the truth of the matter is that they're not willing to pay him off since the league is still fresh and getting another manager or an interim manager would cost then another fee again, so they're not ready to start a negotiation with another manager therefore they've decided to give him more time to see if he'll transform the current state of the team to something better before the next transfer window. Even though the news says Erik Ten Hag have been pardoned, I think more pressure would still be on him cause the board would be taking note of whether the team would make progress in their performance after the transfer window and won't fail to kick him out if there's no changes before the January window.

It would not be an exaggeration to say that Manchester United has forgotten the victory since the beginning of the season.
I don't understand why management still insists on Erik Ten Hag.
After the national matches, they have a match with Fenerbahçe in Istanbul and Manu will be the favorite in this match, but I think Fenerbahçe will win.
The management currently have no option if they sack Ten Hag, and they still believe he can do better since he has won them two trophies with squad that is not as strong as the team they currently have, maybe they still think he can do better since it is not too late, and if all the new players get to themselves, they can do better because frankly speaking, Manchester United have good squad and the young players can do well if they are properly managed.

He survived it for a while before they get perfect replacement for him. Thomas Tuchel can be a perfect replacement since he have experience of coaching big teams, or they can try Alonso if he will be willing to leave Leverkusen after this season.

I saw both teams played offensive and implement tight defense, so that situation made some player do physical confrontation on the fields as seen at the end of the match. yes, Villa is more bit have much ball possession maybe because play at their home. On other situation, Unai strategy is look better than ten hag when I look how their winger supply the ball to attacker, but again, The MU defense is tight. And another factor is unlucky, they didn't get a chance to shoot the ball in accurately because always blocked by MU defender, and vice versa it happen also when MU counterattacks to Aston Villa. But we don't know what happened to tenhag with this result?, is he got fired or still continue?

I just won bet it draw

Congratulations on winning the bet. I would have never guessed that game would end in a draw. Surprisingly Aston Villa decided to adopt a defensive strategy to play against Manchester United. I was expecting Aston Villa to play pressing football and try to break United’s defense.

Erik Ten Hag is still manager of Manchester United. It was speculated that this game was going to be the decider for ETH future at Manchester United. I guess a draw against Aston Villa is a positive sign for Manchester United bosses.

Hey! I remember last season you defended Ten Hag and argued that he was a good, suitable manager for United. Judging by your message, you haven't changed your mind?
I wonder when you will start blaming him specifically? I understand that bad results are always a complex problem, but is Ten Hag really not guilty of anything again?

I Did! No manager will do well with the setbacks and injuries Manchester United faced last season. I'm convinced he is a good coach and tactically sound manager that's because, I watched Manchester United game in game out during his first season, I saw everything even though I didn't when he was manager of Ajax. I feel like Manchester United are tryna rebuild the club, standards dropped and other stuff's but he needs time, one day everything will definitely click. I don't need to convince no one about him. I didn't see people bashing and lashing out criticize him during his first season, why though?!

The current squad rotation mechanism Liverpool manager Arne Slot is using is making it very difficult for Premier League Fantasy managers to rightly predict players that'll start their league games. Not only is he rotating the attacking line but he's also rotating the defense line just like he decided to start Tsimikas ahead of the club's regular left back Andy Robertson. The decision to leave Luiz Diaz out of his starting XI was very surprising but since he's the manager, there's nothing that can be done about it as he was able to grab all three points at the end of the day. The result of today's English Premier League games wasn't that entertaining if you ask me but I believe tomorrow's games will give more entertaining results
Arne Slot is the manager he has the right to pick his starting line up in every game until it fails to provide positive result. I think Arne Slot understands that the team has a long schedule of games and is only trying to manage his team in the best possible way possible to be fit for the games ahead. The decision to leave Luiz Diaz worked for him, the manager is not going to leave his best players to the risk of injury or fatigue just to please FPL players.

Bro I am a Manchester United fan but this performance is so disappointing and bad. Never ever I expected them to be down this badly. Out of the 7 matches they played, only 2 wins.
Manchester United performance has been so bad since last season. I was thinking there will be improvement this season because Ten Hag was given money to sign some players, but even with the signings Ten Hag made, Manchester United performance is just getting worse, and from the way Manchester United management is silent about Ten Hag's performance, I don’t really think they are ready to let him go. Maybe they still want to give him more time if there will be changes, but I don’t think Ten Hag is just the right coach for Manchester United, and it’s better they let him go early before things get worse.

The Manchester United disappointing performance started before they signed Ten Hag, but the hype on Ten Hag due to his performance at Ajax made us think that he wil outperform the likes Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp, but it turn out to be the other way round since Arteta of Arsenal have more team development and tactics than Ten Hag.
However, Ten Hag have two titles achievements to show to backup his performance in the two seasons he has coached Manchester United, but the team.s performance is not going well as fan expected because Premier League and the Champions League performance is the main thing a big team is after, but since Ten Hag take over Manchester united, his Champions League/Europa League performances are very poor, he won just on match out of ten which is very bad for big team like Manchester United.

I will also be expecting the Manchester United management to sack Ten Hag because the team deserves a coach that can be able to utilize the young players they spent money to bring into the team.
I think Man United management is waiting for Ten Hag's contract to expire, so it will not cost much money, because terminating the contract means that Man United will most likely spend the money written in the contract of both parties, so it is better for Man United to wait for his term of service to expire rather than terminating his contract, we also do not know whether Man United's financial condition is good or not because when Ten Hag served as head coach, Man United was always generous in shopping for players and even the players who were brought in had very large salaries, so we have to look at that, and not be careless in firing the coach.

INEOS’s failure to sack ten Hag during this month's international break will set United back years.
INEOS needs to be decisive before it's too late. If we are afraid of Change, we won’t get the best.
But we know Some in the Manchester United hierarchy have privately admitted they really do not want to sack Erik Ten Hag.
Manchester United's hierarchy held a meeting on Tuesday but no statement from the club regarding the meeting appeared to be a subtle hint that TenHag will be retained, at least for now.
This season is written off even if they decide to sack him in the next couple of months. lol
