Okay so, Manchester City started the losing streak with Tottenham on EFL cup, then lost to Bournemouth, then lost to Sporting and now they lost to Brighton? That looks like it has been something that didn't happen for 10 years or so now, they have been better than this for a long long time and I believe this is going to be something that is not going to be okay at all, Pep has to figure out whatever the problem is and fix it because we are not used to seeing City like this.

Yes ,you are correct . That is historical bad performance by Man City players and they lost consecutively last 4 matches and that is not small thing in football game. We saw big teams they lose 1 match ,2 matches or three matches but after that they did come back and they proved that they are big teams but last matches performance of Man City hurted the fans and fans don't want to see next match of Man City . Against Sporting football full strength team , Man  City score was only 1 but the score of Sporting team was 4 which is incredible and Gyökeres was best player of this match because he did 3 goals in this match and we didn't see that kind of effort by Man City players in last 4 matches.

Manchester United has shown a very good performance in yesterday match in which their players scored 3 goals and did not allow the opponent team to score a single goal and win the match.Manchester United are dead ahead as they have played a match before which they won. If prepare for such a performance in the next matches too you will definitely win the match.  They must not weaken it now or the matches they have won will be lost. Manchester United have decided to make themselves capable of what has won them and will continue to win them. But it has not become so strong that it will win every match in which there will be defeat in some matches. That will prove them weak for some time. Manchester United next match is against Ipswich; let's see if they can win this match too.
Since the time Manchester United sacked their former coach, their performances have total changed to a better one compared to their previous performances, because I was also surprised with the way they make a powerful performance in there in some of their recent matches: This show that their new management is working for the team to bring them back to their standard performances.

If the team can continue to be united and be able to make powerful performances against any of their opponents, I think they will always bring positive results and also make their fans happy and also give them full support. But before the team was about to be damaged with the way they started this season with poorly performed; even in their upcoming match against Ipswich, they will try as much as possible to win the match.

I agree with you. There is a possibility that City cannot defend their title this season because of their performance. This is the first time after several seasons that they have more than 3 consecutive defeats. Rodri's absence has a significant impact on City's game. This shows that Rodri is an important player in City after De Bruyne. Of course Pep will try to find some players in this transfer market. They can't just rely on one player like Rodri or KDB. And talking about the title, I think City will have a hard time defending it but they can still finish in second or third place. Other teams like Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea should be able to take advantage of this moment to get some points advantage over City. Because with the current number of points City still has a chance to become champions again.
Rodri will not play through out this season because his injury is the worst of them all. However, by the end of this month two players would have recovered and back to the team. It would be a very difficult task for City to defend the title for the fourth time, because they are not as strong as they used to be in the previous seasons. Liverpool is super hot, and has the high chance of winning the league than any club currently, only if they would be faced with their own challenges in the long run before the end of the season

I think Nistelrooy was warned in advance that he would be coach for literally a very short time. I think they wanted to fire Ten Hag a long time ago, but they did it only when they were sure that they would be able to get Amorim. According to the leaks, Amorim asked for the chance to finish the season at Sporting, but United management said it was now or never. Apparently they had completely run out of patience during the years when Ten Hag was coach  Grin
~
As for Manchester United keeping Ten Hag till Amorim comes I don’t think it was that but they did went after many managers when the Dutchman was still in charge. They just started the hunt for Amorim not to long ago

The leaks showed that United were trying to get one or another manager long before Ten Hag was officially fired. If any of them had agreed, Ten Hag would have been fired earlier. The latest results forced United management to fire Ten Hag even without an immediate replacement and appoint Nistelrooy, but at the same time they intensified negotiations with Amorim and gave him an ultimatum of "now or never". In the end, he agreed and Nistelrooy was not needed because Amorim wants to have its own team (now not only Nistelrooy is leaving United but several other team members). I think it was something like that.

Manchester City situation this season has been made even more difficult by Liverpool improving performance. Last season they were not under much pressure because Arsenal was the only club capable of providing competition, this season the situation is very different, when their performance declined, Liverpool actually emerged as the strongest challenger. I still have doubts about Manchester City's ability in the next few matches because without the presence of KDB and Rodri in their midfield, their creativity in creating chances is very minimal.

With the way Arne Slot is playing this team, I feel like he is looking better than even Klopp, I am not saying that Klopp wasn't a great manager, he was definitely a good one, but we are going to see Slot getting the title on his first ever season by the looks of it. Obviously the league is not over yet so we do not know what's going to happen, maybe this season at some period Liverpool will lose bunch of games too, and then City could win and then get ahead, which isn't impossible to happen, this is football and anything could happen. [...]

So far Arne Slot has given good results for Liverpool, but it does not make him better than Jurgen Klopp, the reason i say this is because Arne Slot has not given any title to Liverpool, while their condition in the standings could change. Unlike Jurgen Klopp, Klopp has given Liverpool many trophies.

i have seen lots of posts and takes concerning liverpool and their blistering start to the current premier league campaign and also noticed that all the praises sung has been about Slot and rightfully so,but lets not also forget to give jurgen klopp his own share of praise cause this is still a team almost completely in his image.the playing style might have been tweaked a little but they still almost play like klopps liverpool.klopp might be gone but he left a very functional team for his successor to take over and although slott should be praised for exceeding expectations some praises should also be reserved for klopp.
We all know how much Jurgen Klopp has contributed to the club. Those who have watched Liverpool play for a long time will surely accept Jurgen Klopp as the best manager in Liverpool history without any argument. This successful manager deliberately left Liverpool, but it did not happen that Liverpool sacked him from the club. Jürgen Klopp may have seen that the strategy he is currently managing the team is not working very well or the team is not doing very well under him, so he left the responsibility of the team for the good of the team. And he must be happy now because Liverpool are in great form and whoever is in charge of Liverpool is doing his job very well.

I still expect Manchester City to improve and for them to return to their best form after two consecutive defeats in the Premier League. Losing several key players due to injury makes them a little weak, but I'm sure Pep Guardiola will handle this problem perfectly. It's hard sometimes, but it gets better.

I have this feeling that pep will fix this whole issue in the coming January transfer window, as he might want to go for a good DM that can play that Rodri's role, because when we take a look at all games that they've lost so far, it's obvious that Rodri's absence has been the major problem. As for the gap difference, that won't be a problem for Manchester city to cover because they've done it before against Arsenal, and i think against Liverpool (from record).

In fact yesterday's match was absolutely equal, there's no point in blaming Arsenal for the draw, after all they weren't playing against the last team in the table, they were playing against Chelsea, who are quite good at the moment. Yesterday it wasn't like only one team was dominating, at least I didn't notice it. They need time to get back to their pace and they will start to win

From what i watched, i think both side played a very good football and settled for a draw. No side showed more hunger for the win. For arsenal, they just lacked the ability to take their chances. It looks as if they where literally playing without a striker. While for Chelsea, they lacked that creativity in getting the ball into the arsenal's defense, because arsenal were solid at the defense. Both side played brilliantly, and i must admit that maresca has done pretty well in the last couple of months. I think we will be able to judge the case better when Chelsea pays a visit to Arsenal at the emirates next year.

Anything that makes Pep fix the club the league is really going to be hot because any club or team they meet is going to receive it hot because of the annoyance of their previous loss but i hope this is not the down fall of Manchester city because some of the clubs that lose form was like this they started so i just hope is not what i am thinking and Liverpool on the other hand is really good this season so is going to be tough for Manchester city if at all they will come back though there is still a lot of match to the end of the season anything is possible. Chelsea VS Arsenal was really a tough one, initially i thought Arsenal was going to bit Chelsea but it wasn't actually easy for Arsenal and this shows that Chelsea  has actually pick form and with what Chelsea played i do not think Arsenal will or can win them the second match.

By the way, it is interesting to see the total points on EPL standings. Specifically the total points of the teams in 3rd place to 9th place. Their total points are 19-18 points which enables for the change in their positions at any time. This also indicates that EPL is very competitive, the EPL teams have quite equal strength.

What is certain is that this season every team is developing rapidly, not only giant teams like Chelsea who have risen from the slump but Nottingham Forest, Brighton, and Aston Villa have shown that they can also challenge giant teams. Man City existence is in a threatened situation if they continue to lose points. As for Liverpool the 2024/2025 season is theirs in the Premier League.
Aston Villa under the guidance of Unai Emery has developed rapidly since last season and has become a challenger to the giant EPL clubs Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City but in the end he finished in 4th place which was a fairly satisfactory result last season, and this season his performance in the EPL is still quite good even though he is in 9th place temporarily but he has the same points as Fulham but in the UCL he achieved good results in 3 matches and only suffered 1 defeat so it is natural that his performance in the EPL has decreased slightly this season but overall his performance has not completely decreased he can still be a challenger to the top clubs.

What a quite tense match. Even though they both were only fighting for 10th place but they really showed how fun football can be, and 5 goals in this match really make for an interesting spectacle. I thought Brentford played better in the second half, and their build up has improved, therefore they can get more chances than their opponents. Even though they were trailing 1-2 but they were able to turn things around quickly and they only needed 10 minutes to make the score 3-2 for their victory.
I knew it will be a very tough match and they never disappointed. Brentford at home is not a team to joke with, they have shown it today by coning from losing the first half to winning the match against Bournemouth,  a team that defeated Manchester City recently. Those who thought that Bournemouth would win have not been proven wrong because the match was a natural game of many goals. I love the play style and the number of goals scored just add more color to the game.

I thought that the match between Brentford and Bournemouth was going to be close. And it was. But I actually expected some goals towards the end of the match. But overall I think I was happy with what I have seen in this match. These two teams are actually next to each other. And Brentford have been able to increase the current difference between them and Bournemouth by seven points. That's a huge difference and I hope they will be able to continue improving their performance further. A team that has survived relegation for only two spots on the table in the last season, it seems pretty well to see them perform like this. They have been pretty inconsistent. But the performance is definitely improving.

They often have a poor stat around this period, though I think performance is worst than last season by this time but it still doesn't matter to me since they will likely bounce back.

You see the case of Liverpool fans acting as the title favourites, I'm over that, after having high expectations for Liverpool last season though not a fan but thought they were going to win the league, they fell off and more shameful , was came behind Arsenal who we could agree was way less consistent than them before.

The fact is, it is too early to judge the Epl title favourites and I think might be the issues we will face in most top league this season when considering the most favourites.

For now definitely i will say Liverpool are the best team in the league, they have the best defense and that is really their power this season, Liverpool do not concede much either been it home or away. Though the attack to me is not that convincing yet but when you defend so well and just score a goal or two then you are good to go. The van Dijk and Konate combination is just so good especially under Slot, these are 2 big player with good physic and power. If Liverpool will not face any injury crisis i will say they are favorites to win the league.

It not easy to come to a new league as a coach and win it that same season, though few coaches have done it in the premier league but it never easy, for Slot it going to be a big achievement if he can win it this season, Liverpool have only lost one match this season at Anfield. The premier is a very difficult and dynamic league so anything could still happen but until then Liverpool remains favorite for me.

Ruben Amorim has arrived at Manchester United, and his first match after the international break later will be playing away against Ipswich. Obviously, it will be an easy match for Ruben Amorim who should be able to ensure a win for Manchester United. But to be honest, it's a shame that Ruud van Nistelrooy was only an interim coach, even though Ruud van Nistelrooy kept Manchester United without a defeat but that still led Manchester United to bring in Ruben Amorim. Although Ruben Amorim was also quite impressive in the Champions League with Sporting, but I still can't be sure whether Ruben Amorim will succeed at Manchester United or may experience a failure. No one knows about the result.
Ruben Amorim was reported to have arrived Manchester United this morning to officially take over as the club's manager and even granted interview to the press this morning. Like you rightly said, they'll be playing at Ipswich Town after the international break but i don't think it'll be an easy game just like you suggested and that's because Ipswich got their first win of the season over the weekend and will definitely want to improve from there.

I think Ruben Amorim will be a chance for Manchester United. I trust the Portuguese manager. I think Manchester United can sign some good players from Sporting Lisbon. There will be names that Amorim knows. I am sure there will be players who will do well at Manchester United. I am very curious about what Gyökeres can do, especially if he is going to be transferred. I think he is a goal scorer with Premier League quality.

The image of coach Mikel Arteta regretfully and clearly shows his disappointment by lying down on the sidelines. The cause came from the final play of the match when three Arsenal players pressed but Leandro Trossard missed the shot when Kai Havertz was in a better position.

True to the nature of a London derby, both Chelsea and Arsenal played aggressively right from the opening whistle. Continuous finishing situations were created at both goals of goalkeeper David Raya and Robert Sánchez but were not converted into goals. Arsenal controlled the ball better, created many dangerous chances, and appeared to dominate the game. However, the away team missed many opportunities in important situations. Chelsea were probably the team that was happy with the result. Chelsea 1-1 Arsenal: Liverpool were the beneficiaries of this match.
A sad week for Arteta, his team is facing new changes and they've not been in a complete form. The resignation of Edu Gasper, Arsenal's sporting director, earlier last week may have been a loop hole to the gunners. Although Chelsea did their best, but Arsenal is losing good performance.
I don't think Arsenal's inability to defeat Chelsea have anything to do with the resignation of Edu Gasper, enough of the blame game. Arsenal played so well and if not that their first goal was disallowed as offside, they would have probably won the match. Although Chelsea had more shots on goal because Palmer was definitely on fire yesterday. I think what is happening with Arsenal is normal for them, they always have a period they start declining, just that it came so early this season unlike other seasons that they would have still been pushing to win the title by this time.

In fact yesterday's match was absolutely equal, there's no point in blaming Arsenal for the draw, after all they weren't playing against the last team in the table, they were playing against Chelsea, who are quite good at the moment. Manchester United's performance is getting better than we expected, and they will need to appreciate Ruud. Because he has tried his possible best for the team to see victory in their game, just take a look at their amazing performance since when he came to the team they are playing with surprises, which make many start wondering that most of their players can even play like this but they failed to do that. Understand the coach of Erick; indeed, if it is possible to maintain Ruud as their main coach, then the management needs to try their best to see that happen. At least they will bring back their reputation this season. Kudos to Ruud Van Nistelrooy.
Of course, appreciation must be given now because after all, replacing Ten Hag with the enormous pressure he has, especially to restore mentally because of the poor performance that is always there, obviously it requires extra energy and the facts on the field in 4 matches that Manchester United did during Ruud van Nistelrooy's tenure showed very good results which deserves great appreciation.

But now Manchester United have also appointed Amorim as head coach and this condition reminds me of the situation where Carrick and Fletcher did the same thing when Manchester United fired Ole and appointed Rangnick at that time.

Hopefully, these similar decisions won't lead to the same end result because Rangnick's time at Manchester United wasn't any better than Carrick and Fletcher's so I hope that the consistent form van Nistelrooy created won't be ruined by Amorim for adaptation and player reasons.

Ten Hag brought in Van Nistrooy who was actually meant to go to Burnley then to replace the then departing head coach Vincent Kompany so Ten Hag actually getting sacked was definitely going to be also a dead end for Van Nistrooy Although the club hierarchy did wanted him to Stay on and continue as the assistant manager with Amorim, the new manager didn’t want that and that’s why he left and with an unbeaten record at United he will certainly soon get a chance to manager a club a again.

As for Manchester United keeping Ten Hag till Amorim comes I don’t think it was that but they did went after many managers when the Dutchman was still in charge. They just started the hunt for Amorim not to long ago

For someone that's coached a big team in Netherlands, coming to England to coach a relegated team would be like reducing his ranks, he's far better than that and should be coaching a first team in the Premier League, he's proved himself worthy by being unbeaten as an interim manager of Manchester United, something his boss Erik Ten Hag couldn't that led to his departure. Van Nistelrooy apart from bring a club legend is a very big fan of Manchester United, I think that's part of what motivated him to take the offer as an assistant manager, it's obvious that he was tired of Manchester United's decline in form and was really serious about helping them to get back to glory days. Well, Amorin is a good coach with a unique coaching style therefore I have no doubt about him, I can't wait to see him coach Manchester United till the winter window then I'll be sure if he'll be able to handle the task, coaching Manchester United is not an easy job many good coaches have tried with much success, I just wish Amorin would've worked with Van Nistelrooy cause I believe they've both made Manchester United great again.
