Manchester United fallen into a spiral. Two years and counting, we are yet to see results from trusting the process with Erik Ten Hag. Many fans are calling for his sack but the club still believes Erik Ten Hag is the best option for the club right now. The issue with Manchester United isn’t just poor attacking but also in defense, passing and midfield creativity. They are playing like kids who just got a football for the first time. ETH has failed to bring in the quality of players that can turn the situation around and until that aspect of recruiting the right players is addressed, Manchester United will continue to struggle.

This season have been nothing but horrible for the Red Devils, they're suffering to meet up the required expectations and nothing seems to be working. What more do you expect from a club handled by Erik Ten Hag? Besides the club is having down time and this is not just a good time to be Manchester United fan. Instead I will urge you to convert to other elite club like Manchester City or Liverpool. We're talking about clubs that will engaged in playing oppositions and their chances of loss is slim. As for Manchester United, they're currently suffering because the board have been recalcitrant and dormant in their role, sack ETH and bring in a more competent coach that will be able to handled the club.

Yep, he is a strong Man United fan, but I still respect him because a fan will always defend them no matter what happens. And what Oluwa-btc said about Bruno Fernandez is true because in my opinion, that player is actually due to be replaced with a new player and it's time to look for a more productive player. I'm not saying Bruno is no longer a productive player, but for me, his recent performances have looked a bit poor.
And regarding Ten Hag, to be honest, he really can't be blamed because perhaps a coach needs time to improve performance. But what Man United is currently achieving makes football fans think negatively about the coach.

Honestly the Manchester United performances is very worse when the fans was expecting good performance from them this season, since with the way they make an poorly performance in previous seasons, but still their repeat the same again this season they didn’t make single improvement for the team; could you imagine that last season is the Manchester United and Chelsea there performance was almost  similar in that last year that’s how the entire season poorly performed.

But this season Chelsea have find their way by making their performances so better than last season, because even their fans are also proud of them with the kind patterns of the game their playing all this while; but Manchester United just quit their performances without improvement: I don’t either the all problems is from there coach or from the players let look at the position their manage in the table currently now seriously is unfair.

In my opinion, fans, players, and Ineos should be more patient in dealing with Ten Hag. In the past, when Klopp first came to Liverpool, he was also erratic and not immediately good, in the fifth year there were already results. Maybe this is one of the reasons why Man United management still gave Ten Hag a chance, especially since Ten Hag gave one trophy every season even though Man United was always bad in the EPL. Maybe the club management did not fire Ten Hag because they did not find the right replacement coach.

Currently, I think Ten Hag must be able to control the Man United dressing room. Ten Hag must learn from coaches like Pep Guardiola who must be able to bring in tier S+ players who have good skillsets, ball IQ in every position. On the other hand, Ten Hag's weakness is not disciplining players like Pep Guardiola. Pep Guardiola is a coach who disciplines his players to stay in their respective positions to carry out Pep Guardiola's tactics.

In addition, Ten Hag's weakness is that the quality of Man United players is not as good as Madrid who have many stars who have above average skills, Real Madrid is disciplined in defense but when attacking they are freed by Ancelotti because that is Ancelotti's tactic. If Ten Hag needs to discipline Man United players to play a complete system, both for transition, attack or defense like Pep Guardiola. Ten Hag must do a lot of self-introspection, so that he can apply the strategy with the abilities of the players he has.

To be honest, looking at the condition of the team they played against, they should have lost that match but they were able to bring the match to a draw at the end of the day. Aston Villa is a great team and they’ve been playing well since last season and are even participating in the champions league this season. They are even among the major league contender, so this result for Manchester United was a worthy one and Tem Hag might be considered for another time after drawing this match.


No talks about any sack whatsoever to Ten Hag. His performance in the managerial role has not been encouraging and a lot of them including the fans want him to go now. I saw in the news before the Aston Villa match that if he loses the game, he’s going to be relieved off his duty but congratulations that he was able to bring the match to a draw. He has been given many opportunities and I think he still got some on him that he’s been given, let’s see what he can do now, maybe he can improve the condition of the team in the next few matches.

The Manchester United disappointing performance started before they signed Ten Hag, but the hype on Ten Hag due to his performance at Ajax made us think that he wil outperform the likes Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp, but it turn out to be the other way round since Arteta of Arsenal have more team development and tactics than Ten Hag.
However, Ten Hag have two titles achievements to show to backup his performance in the two seasons he has coached Manchester United, but the team.s performance is not going well as fan expected because Premier League and the Champions League performance is the main thing a big team is after, but since Ten Hag take over Manchester united, his Champions League/Europa League performances are very poor, he won just on match out of ten which is very bad for big team like Manchester United.

I will also be expecting the Manchester United management to sack Ten Hag because the team deserves a coach that can be able to utilize the young players they spent money to bring into the team.

Many people think because Manchester United managed to get a draw against Aston Villa they have improved, which is why I didn’t see any improvement here. Manchester United are still struggling to win against weak teams, so because they drew against Aston Villa, I won’t call this an improvement. Moreover, this is just a start; their many more matches are coming. Let's see how their performance will be before we say Manchester United's performance has improved, but as of now I’m still yet to see improvement from them.


Exactly. And this is the reason why I said Manchester United are still yet to improve, and not the way people are saying, they were struggling to do many things in that match. To be sincere, although when Aston Villa won against Bayern Munich, we all think they are back to their performance, but that is not the reality here. I feel like we should not judge a team performance by 1 match but tend to do that; once they see a team win a single match, they will start saying the team performance is back.

Manchester United performance has been so bad since last season. I was thinking there will be improvement this season because Ten Hag was given money to sign some players, but even with the signings Ten Hag made, Manchester United performance is just getting worse, and from the way Manchester United management is silent about Ten Hag's performance, I don’t really think they are ready to let him go. Maybe they still want to give him more time if there will be changes, but I don’t think Ten Hag is just the right coach for Manchester United, and it’s better they let him go early before things get worse.

Speaking of Southampton, they are actually used to this position because if you look at the last few seasons they have always come and gone from the EPL because in the end for the Championship they are always strong and difficult to beat but for the EPL of course it is different because in the end they always have difficulties when they are a promotion club to this highest competition.

7 Matches with 1 draw and 6 defeats is certainly not a very good thing for them and it will certainly be a little difficult to get out of the relegation zone because of their situation that suffered more defeats in the end.

Week 8 they will face Leicester, who in fact is a promoted club just like them, it's just that this will still be difficult for them to win even though they will play at St. Marry's, which is their home. I think a draw is still possible for this match but most likely with the current situation the probability of them losing will still happen again.

You can’t be active on football threads and not know Oluwa-btc is a strong Manchester United fan and a firm believer in Erik Ten Hag. He’s been in support of the manager and has defended him against every criticism on this thread as well as thread. We have had debates on the subject several times. I think only once have I seen Oluwa-btc opinion on Erik Ten Hag waver, it seems he’s gotten over it and back to his old self.

The position that is very close to the relegation zone is really painful and disappointing indeed, although there are still many opportunities to make improvements often  running the season but still, Manchester United has been far behind by other top teams in the Premier League standings. Not only in the Premier League, because Manchester United also only get two draws from the twomatches they have played in the Europa League. Thus, Manchester United management should be able to move quickly to get a new coach. Because at least,  there are still several well-known coaches who are currently not under contract with any team, for example like Tuchel I think it is still feasible to  replace Erik ten Hag.

Because of course, with a squad that can be said to be good but Erik ten Hag was unable to maximize the potential of each player to make Manchester United improve. There are some young Manchester United players who end up being sold and or loaned out, but after they play at other clubs the reality is that these players have good but poor performance at Manchester United. Thus, I think Erik ten Hag is indeed time to be fired, because there have been many fans complaining about him because of the bad results he has gotten so far.

Aston Villa defeated Bayan Munich in the last Champions League match and they are doing well in the English Premier League, so many people think that Aston Villa might be a strong team and a draw against this strong team means a lot of improvement in their performance. Those who think so are essentially saying that Manchester United have improved their performance. But those who watched the match between Manchester United and Aston Villa live will tell you how sloppy Manchester United's game was. Manchester United performed in such a way that it felt like we were watching a local team. Manchester United did not have good pass accuracy in that match, nor did they have the ability to keep the ball in their favor, so how do some people think Manchester United improved their performance.

It is sad to see that Ten Hag is just in the club doing nothing to improve the team performance but coming out to the media to say that everything will be fine with time and that patience is needed for him to work on the team. Bro I am a Manchester United fan but this performance is so disappointing and bad. Never ever I expected them to be down this badly. Out of the 7 matches they played, only 2 wins. The fact they lost to Tottenham is funny to me, no offense to Tottenham fans. Liverpool and Manchester City with an amazing performance this season, I am sure one of them will be winning the cup, can already make a bet.

The draw means Manchester United have not won a single game in their last five games, and it would be ridiculous to think of it as an improvement in performance as their mission came to Villa Park to end the negative results they achieved in the previous game. Manchester United's performance this season is far from expectations, even though they have spent around £200 million to bring in players in the summer transfer market, but the performance of Ten Hag's squad has not changed. Several names have started to emerge if the club decides to fire Erik ten Hag, Ruud van Nistelrooy is the favorite to become interim manager, Tuchel's name has also started to be widely rumored to fill the position left by Ten Hag.

I think this is a bad result, we are evaluating the overall situation and not individual games, right? 8 points after 7 games can hardly be attributed to bad luck or some fluctuations. In some games, even obvious underdogs show good results, but this does not mean that they are doing well.
As I understand it, today's management meeting has not yet taken place and it is impossible to say for sure whether Ten Hag has been fired or not?
