A sad reality of online streaming that also doubles as a gambling promotion is that it can have unknown consequences with its widespread reach. As it recently came to light, a fan of Adin Ross took his own life. The controversy however was much more than just this fact. The controversy stemmed from the fact that Adin Ross' editor, being completely apathetic to these news of a man taking his own life, called it "old news" in a dismissive tone.

Adin Ross is one of the most famous streamers in the world right now, with his content having hundreds of thousands of hours in watch time. Of course much of his content is direct promotion to slots games and such gambling. Perhaps Kick should add some limits to how "controversial" a streamer can be in their platform. People like Ross were banned from twitch after maaany violations.

What do you think about this? Do such people deserve a platform even on Kick?

Probably it all adds up to the point of taking his own life, I mean for sure addiction could actually be a huge problem in the long run but I dont think it is going to be that easy or just because of money someone is going to take his life. I'm sure other problems add up besides his frustration with gambling making him take this kind of action, as long as you get a lot of support probably from your family there is always a way to recover from losses.

There are lot of influencers and streamers that gamble online actually, I've seen a lot of facebook live and it seems like that gambling was getting really popular to a lot of streamers and as well as trading cryptocurrency, I remember last time most of the streamers are mostly playing NFT games but it seems like it wasn't profitable anymore so they migrated to online gambling already, that just means that there are a lot of gambling website that is offering a lot of influencers theses days which can be concerning considering there are possible children watching.

People become suicidal for many reasons and the main one is that they don't want to solve problems, they choose to get rid of problems forever in the easiest way possible. What they don't realize is that they're pushing the problems onto their loved ones. Just imagine the grief that the mother of a person who takes her own life because of some problem. I have always believed that any problem can be solved, you just have to want it and make an effort. Suicide is not a solution, no matter how serious the problems are.

Streamer becomes a service job from there he earned income with a contract of agreement. I don't blame those who work as streamers when there are fans of a fan of killing themselves because of addiction.
Fans who like a streamer already know that the spectacle will not apply if the one watching does the same thing as they watch.

If we are addicted, that's where a disaster begins.
No wonder the effects of addiction can lose their lives because such events have crossed the limits of a human awareness.
The suicide incident due to addiction is not a rare thing, but as I recall, there have been many events exposed by the media about the effects of gambling addiction.

In my opinion, people who are influenced by streamers don't seem to be able to think straight, they think that what the streamers are doing is right with wins that are easy to get by just gambling and can make money, they don't think that it's just tricks and tricks so that they believe and believe they can make a win or money by gambling, and the streamer's goal is profit, where the more people who believe and gamble at the advertised casino, the greater the profit the streamer will get.

When they have been trusted by streamers to gamble, they will not think about the risks, especially when they have started to become addicted to gambling. They will continue to gamble without thinking about the risk of defeat and loss that will occur more often with the gambling they do, and it is true that if they are already addicted, they will likely take actions that are not considered first, so that these actions cause them to experience their own losses. In my opinion, to take action, you have to pay attention and consider it first, not just in gambling, other things are the same. Decision making or actions must be considered so that major losses do not occur.

It's true what you say chasing losses is basically useless, we won't get what we want, it will only complicate matters and there will be a lot of losses there and this factor is also influenced by big emotions about what happens because of expectations. not in accordance with reality and agree with you, if we have experienced defeat once or twice then take the positive side, namely from our experience that gambling results in more losses than wins, then we can use this as motivation and valuable experience so as not to lose. excessive gambling.

Excessive expectations also make them gamble excessively, which makes them trapped in losses that cannot be avoided. when they already have the wrong thoughts then losses will definitely occur and that is very bad. When they have problems with finances and see streamers who gamble easily win, it is very likely that they will be interested because even if they don't have problems, they will be attracted by that tempting win. It's just that this victory has deceived many people.

Gambling should be done in moderation because it is not right if gambling is done excessively. with many cases of the bad effects of gambling such as being in debt, committing suicide or others, it is caused by gambling that is done too excessively, the encouragement of wrong thinking becomes the disease. We also don't have to experience big losses to prevent excessive gambling. With the many cases that have happened, I think we can learn from them, as long as we can learn from what has happened to us or others.

Well, this isn't a surprise. The number of suicides due to gambling is really high compared to other suicidal problems out there. This is what they want to influence their audience with and there's nothing to blame with this issue other than this influencer. Personally, there have been times when I've thought about taking my life but I always remind myself that it's just a bad day and for sure tomorrow will be different. I want to quit gambling but I can't. I don't know why. Hopefully this won't happen to me.
Mate, take a break and get yourself relaxed. Your life is much more important than this activity of yours, think about the people who love you, and never think of doing such a stupid thing because you will go but those who are here will stay in pain throughout their lives. Gambling is nothing, think of it this way and I'm sure you will be able to get away from it with time. You are stronger than what you think of yourself but you need to believe in yourself.

The reason why you are not being able to quit gambling is because you think about it too much, stop thinking about this, and try to focus on things that are more important in your life. You must have a family, think about them, spend more time with your family and friends, and I'm sure you will get out of this problem one day soon.
On the time that you are on the verge of addiction then it would really be that too damn hard for you to realize or think up those things on which you would really be that giving out that kind of
thinking that these things wont really be that important specially if you are on the condition on which problems are really that on extreme extent on which you would really be having those thoughts that this is something that cant really be resolved out but rather you would really be just that only trying out to kill yourself or having that suicide to be your most viable option left.
On this state then it would really be that impossible that you would really be thinking of people who are really that thinking or loving you on which it would be a common approach
those kind of emotions on which you would really be having those kind of thoughts and views that no one loves you specially on the time that you are on such state.

The most annoying part of the story that OP narrated is the lack of empathy or sympathy for the young chap who lost his life. Adin Ross and his team failed to know that the deceased might have become addicted by visiting his channel. He also failed to know that the youth who took his own life has friends and family members who are mourning the loss of a loved one. This is a clear indication that people only care about money and nothing else.

It's not that they don't know about this, but they just don't want to know or care about it. There are a lot of streamers like this on KICK and it's disgusting to see them keep laughing and not caring about this issue. And unfortunately, they hide behind the words "freedom". That's really disgusting.
The streamer didn't have any solidarity for the fan who suicided because for him, it meant only one less view for his videos... This is how these influencers see their publics: as numbers, exclusively!

Numbers which raise them to the pantheon of most popular internet's celebrities, bringing fame, money and the false sense of being a demigod walking over the Earth. They do anything to maintain their status, never caring at all for the people who really maintain them on the throne of dust they don't want to be vanished, because on the influencers' subverted mind, they belong to a superior category of human beings.

And unfortunatelly they are where they are only because there is a massive number of people who follow these guys and treat them as their lords, including the man who suicided... After all, if the audience were doing something productive with their lives, streamers like Adin Ross would also have to do something productive in his own life for a living, instead of foolishing and deceiving people on the internet!

What do you think about this?
It is a sad thing and it paints more of a negative picture for gambling. Critics will be quick to fault gambling in general, where as the problem is not with gambling but irresponsible gambling that has led to addiction. We should try to be good examples of gamblers by gambling responsibly always.
I fully support your opinion and sometimes judge something concerned with gambling we must judge from 2 sides, namely from the positive and negative side.
IMO, when there was a fan of one of the famous streamers and committed suicide because of addiction, it was not a streamer fault and also not a gambling mistake.
logically, streamer or gambling is looking for money from work or business they do and as gamblers who have full responsibility for themselves should be able to control themselves not to take too seriously about gambling and think it is just a game that can be done when free time not a place to entertain yourself every day or to make a profit.

from this case I judge Adin Ross as if he did not want to be the center of suicide problems carried out by his fans and that was a self-defense that was worth doing because he only did the work he did to get income from his work.
Indeed there are many other jobs that do not give a big risk or damage the younger generation but everyone has expertise in their respective fields and for me this problem does not need to be raised but it is enough to be a lesson that whatever we see from the promotion of any gambling is only entertainment and responsibility yourself is more important.

In our country, influencers who promote online gambling sites will be immediately detained by the police because there have been many cases like this that have happened and all the authorities are worried that this will become an epidemic.  In countries where gambling is legal, they should make strict rules about this, especially since streamers are often paid by gambling owners to promote their gambling sites.

Rightly said there is no point in blaming the gambling steamers. If we can control ourselves, these misinformation advertisements of the steamers will not harm us. Advertisements do this to boost their campaigns. Avoid mistakes and consider payment options and betting opportunities before betting In the end it's not just about the odds but the overall betting experience. Overall safety and reliability are essential ingredients for a safe betting journey.
Suicide is never what we should know about, there are other ways to resolved matters. There are essential sectors in the system, we just need to be to be extremely careful and not embedded in grant sections. Taking his own life due to addiction, for this awful incident to happen, he had taken think about the necessary actions and the repercussions. We avoid mistakes in the system and pass through the eligible process. The odds are important, but we should always levelled the system with necessary odds, it generates gigantic profits.

if we can't consider the action we are going to take, it usually ends in disappointment and if that continues then what will happen is excessive pressure, so that it can affect our thinking and our mental state, which if the pressure is excessive, we cannot accept it properly. OK, it will damage our mental and thinking which can make us stressed, but it is caused by our own actions, so if we have done it then we have to be able to accept everything, including the bad impacts and risks.

Yes, it is true that anyone who will take action in their decision without careful consideration, the result will be nil and we will feel deep disappointment in what we have done and the relationship in gambling is when the gambler is a gambler who is careless in acting and does not think. With good common sense, it is possible that the gambler will experience many losses because he just thinks he can play and play and in pursuit of the uncertain winnings he gets.
Yes, agree with you because the consequences of the above behavior will have a bad impact on his life.

It's nothing new if we see someone lacking empathy for other people, especially if they are the ones who caused it all. Especially if it has something to do with money, it could be said that for some people money is more important than anything, even more valuable than life. They will only think about themselves and will not care about what happens to other people, especially if that person is someone they don't know, they will pretend they don't know and cover their ears.
Yes, this happens a lot and this is part of life, there are people who care a lot, there are people who don't care about other people at all. In this case, we cannot blame anyone, and can only criticize people who we consider to be unempathetic.
This is one of the dangers of gambling if done wrong. Therefore, we always remind ourselves to always gamble with rules and limits so that we can avoid things like this that shouldn't happen. It's really sad if just because gambling ends in loss of life, this is something that really shouldn't happen.
Most important: money? Please. Losers have that philosophy. The actual giants, the real victors, know that money is a tool - the best tool, but nonetheless a tool. How you build with it matters. Long-term success depends on balance and well-being, therefore wise people know that.

Some individuals are wrong about gambling. They consider it feeble. Those people are weak. Gambling, like business, requires strategy, not luck. You win by calculating the odds and playing properly. You must set limitations and recognize your bounds.  People who are greedy and careless lose. Like any negotiation, you leave a terrible deal. The secret is discipline - knowing when to fold and when to go all in. That distinguishes winners from losers.

When we are in a casino, in a sports bet or any activity that is for gambling there will always be many risks, now also, taking into consideration that if we are streamers, influencers or something similar where an audience and a community are managed, well It is very simple that things must be taken in a very professional way, that is, if we play and lose, we must set the example of assuming what happens, we cannot be showing desperation or anything like that, in any game of chance, casinos, sports betting, things can go wrong, because it is money that is being risked.

I defend that a person feels, sometimes gets carried away by emotions because it is something that happens a lot, but in this case what the effect streamer did was something very unfortunate and in reality he gave a very bad example, it is regrettable that he killed himself , but this is an example of things that should not be done.

What do you think about this? Do such people deserve a platform even on Kick?

If the Kick platform allows such gambling streamers then nothing we can do about it. They deserve it or not is non of our business. Besides, even if we blame the streamer for attracting the user which eventually leads to gambling addiction, should we blame the streamer itself? We should be the ones to control ourselves and not be influenced too much by these streamers. Besides, these streamers, even though we hate them, didn't force anyone to gamble but rather just inviting.

But in the end, I also support eradicating all gambling streamers but only those who are just doing gambling-related that easily without looking at the site reputation of what they advertised. I mean those streamers who are just streaming a certain gambling site without doing a background check if these sites are legit and reputable. There are lots of local gambling streamers like that in our place just to gather more views.

When a boy or a girl becomes completely addicted to gambling and when he gambles excessively he not only harms himself but also harms his family. If a teenager or teenager becomes addicted to gambling at this age, they will directly pressure the family for the money they need for gambling, and by pressuring the family, they will try to manage the money in different ways. When the family agrees to pay him at some point he will threaten to kill himself and put more pressure on his family which will put more pressure on the family and he will be under a lot of stress.

If gambling can be done responsibly at a certain age then gambling is fine but excessive gambling will not bring any good to a gambler.
That's their own fault, no one ask young people to gamble, many casinos already state make sure you're 18+ years old upon creating account.

The family need to brought them to rehabilitation, perhaps they can recover from their addictions, if not the family need to take a step to kick them from family members otherwise they will keep bring new problem to the family.
There are many casino sites that state during account registration that if you are not 18 plus then you cannot account at this casino. Such a warning may be given by the casino before opening an account but it is entirely up to a user to accept this instruction or not. If a teenage boy or girl knows about gambling no matter how many instructions are given to him or how many warnings are given to him but he does not follow the instructions but he claims to be 18 plus then creates an account and continues to gamble.  Adolescent gamblers usually make this decision without informing the family but by the time the family finds out it is too late. When a boy or girl becomes addicted to gambling at a young age, the family knows and the family cannot easily bring the boy or girl out of that situation.

Yes, it's all their own decision and based on their own consent, but on the other hand I can't be too sure that they really made a decision based on a good level of awareness along with a rational attitude in terms of considering before finally entering and getting involved in gambling, because looking at the impact they experienced I think we can already conclude that they came with the wrong understanding, this is regardless of age because I think it is unlikely for a teenager who wants to gamble to look first about the provisions provided by the casino about gambling is only allowed for the age of 18+.

On the other hand, if indeed the gambling activities carried out are known by the family then it is clear as you say that the family must move quickly to overcome this problem such as taking them to a rehabilitation center or to a psychological expert to restore their mindset to a more rational direction, and I am sure that the family will be very concerned about the good of their family members who have fallen into gambling (regardless of whether they are addicted or not) because however over time gambling can trigger many problems, especially if it is done by a minor whose mindset is still unstable.
