I don't know why people are so quick to commit suicide when things just start going south. It changes nothing. And your right if i am a fan of a streaming club or podcast and i am not sensitive to these kinds of acts i will immediately quit watching and not just that they would lose a fan like me i will also tell my friends and people around me who will avoid such things in the future. Sometimes they should people things into consideration before taking such actions. I know how many persons have been affected by this.

Don't say such thing, some people have fragile heart that melt when they encounter little challenge and some of them have not experienced such kind of difficulties in life. I can't even imagined myself taking my own precious life when there are plenty of life to be enjoyed, I will rather watch me see the world talk about my mistake than taking my own life because nothing in this world is worth taking your own life. Sometimes, I think people forget to have hope when they are down.

I think it's high time streamers are held accountable for people they influence into betting, I wonder what happened to the gambling is for fun before some people take harsh decisions especially when it comes to taking their own life, they don't even think about the people they are going to hurt when they are away.

It is a very sensitive topic, I would say delicate, but you have to know how to play and know how to say some things, a normal influencer has to always have a very High spirit, and that is something that you have to do all the time, for Therefore, when we are people who are generating some money through work like this, we must Know very well that things will sometimes turn ugly and go wrong, we must have enough moral strength to get out of any adversity, We live in a system where we are able to get out of adversity very well, except that we live in a world where everyone wants to point us out for doing things that others believe are wrong, but that those people do do.

It is a thought that someone commits suicide because they are lacking the bond of faith and love that is life, life is so beautiful to take it away that sometimes I think that people who commit suicide are because they are influenced by many bad Things.

Most of these streamers are really young. When you give someone at that age this kind of money and fame, they are bound to misuse it. They are getting paid millions for doing what exactly? I have watched clips of a couple of their livestreams and they do and say nothing productive. Adin Ross is quite the controversial character, unfortunately he has a large community online and teenagers make up the majority of his audience. I do not have a problem with promoting legitimate gambling casinos, that’s his job but his reaction to the sad news shows how little he cares about his followers. It’s no surprise that most influencers have no sense of responsibility for what they choose to say and promote.

This is a bit of a complicated situation in my opinion because in the end, when a streamer is gambling and broadcasts it to a large audience, it will definitely become a situation where it will be followed but the mistake in this case is that the fans should also be able to control their gambling situation because something like this could not have happened if they were selective about gambling so as not to make addiction spread to themselves.
This is not entirely the streamer's fault but it does not mean that he is also not at fault because he is guilty of not reminding his followers where gambling can make the situation worse, so it is important to remind each other to limit themselves in every gambling that is done because after all this is an important thing that we must do.
I am sorry for those who did commit suicide whether it is new or old news but in the end this should be a lesson that sometimes ending life just because of a problem will not solve the problem but instead create new problems so be wise for all of us in thinking about something so as not to be controlled by lust.

The society gets influenced easily, especially when there is a fake hope of getting rich from a particular thing. This is why it is easy for those influencers to lure people into gambling, because they are after their own pocket, and for that reason these influencers can just lie and lead people astray. Gambling has being a vice that is currently used to destroy the future of youths that gambles for profit, because when they can no longer cope with their losses, they commit suicide thinking that it is the only way out.
Influencers and advertisers who promote gambling frequently do so in a deceptive or misleading way. They may disregard the risks involved or make false promises about the potential rewards. Not just the influencers, Many gambling companies also use predatory marketing practices to lure people in. They may offer freebies or bonuses to get people started, and then gradually increase the stakes, making it harder and harder to walk away. This is a serious problem.

In my opinion, all those gambling streamers should be exterminated like the plague.  Most of them earn money by endorsing gambling platforms and streaming games with fake money, drawing in younger susceptible viewers vulnerable to addiction.  This is exactly why Twitch banned gambling livestreams.

Those guys are bad actors although they are up to they own business but the Truth is that, they are not being truthful to the audience and there is no any form of risk warning from their part so their followers thinks that as the fake bets they are streaming are winning same it is in real life, but when the attempt to apply same approach to they own betting they end up losing what they can not afford to lose and then slid into depressions.

I don't follow any of the streamers since I already have the knowledge of how they operate and what to expect in reality from gambling, so for that let they go to hell with all the lies they preach with fake money and fake winnings just to promote they own trends

Bro this is extreme.

No, I did not mean anything violent. I just think that just as we got rid of some infectious diseases, such as the plague, (by better sanitation, hygiene, medical advancements...) so we need to find a permanent solution for problem gambling among young people. In the same way that rats were once the main cause of the spread of vicious diseases among people, today we have streamers who promote gambling, which can have dire consequences.

That's really sad for someone's fan to take his own life because of someone not listening to you. I do hope that these people in power that have a stream and reach try to see and be empathetic toward people who might be struggling with something. They should be controlled and accountable for what he is doing because of the fact that there are a lot of people who probably look up to him. It's a responsibility IMO.

Right. It's just heartbreaking when a fan feels so ignored that they do something like this. Streamers and influencers need to step up and realize the impact they have. They should be more empathetic and responsible with their content, especially knowing how many people look up to them. It's not just about views and likes,  it's about caring for their audience especially those who might be going through a rough patch. And platforms should definitely do more to keep tabs on what's being put out there to avoid spreading harmful stuff

It seems to me that each of us chooses our own path. And if someone decides to commit suicide because of a loss in a casino, he was just weaker than the circumstances.

There have always been such people and their problems are not only related to gambling. Someone commits suicide because of debts, someone because of unrequited love, someone foolishly just deciding to check what is there behind the line of life.

In my opinion, this is natural selection and there is no escape from it. Blame someone for it? Unfortunately, I can not give an exact answer because when making such a decision a person analyzes several circumstances at once, not just one.

I sincerely feel sorry for the relatives of suicide victims. I wish they had thought about their grief before deciding to commit suicide.

Power of "Influence".
Unfortunately, not all streamers especially gambling promoters are concerned of such instances simply because they are being paid to advertise and encourage for a particular platform. Sad reality is that they are doing it to earn money, which is a right motive but a bit off with the method to achieve such purpose. They could at least not make gambling a 'must try' activity perhaps with promotions showing how easy it is to win, wherein in reality there's no such thing as easy when it comes on gambling. I cannot put all of the blame to the promoter or even with the gambling provider 'coz no matter how we look at it they are just doing their 'job'. This boils down for us audiences to be vigilant and responsible of our actions.

It is okay to bet sometimes as long as there'll be moderation. If you are already having assumptions of getting rich in gambling then be cautious of gambling. A strong assumption requires strong will and determination to make it happen. In this instance, you're more likely to bet huge mount for the sake of getting huge in return. Keep in mind that no matter how you wanted things to be in favor on your end, if you're not lucky then nothing will happen. Be preventive of putting yourself into a situation that will bury yourself to the deepest financial state.

Completely depressing news, in my opinion. Mental health is seriously looked away when comes to the well being of people. It would seem most of the times people focus on physical health and do not care on the mental well being of others or even themselves.
We could debate what the percentage of responsibility of those streamers is when comes to sad stories like this one, but it is not only  about the awareness, promotion or advertisement of gambling on the internet or in streaming platforms like Kick/Twitch.

No mentally sound person would have ending themselves as an option after losing money on a casino. So besides some restrictions which you guys are talking about, I believe it would more constructive for the quality of life of people if society as a whole did not stigmatize mental problems and the government provided mental healthcsre to people who think about hurting themselves.

Whoever this person is, I hope he is resting and is in a better place, regardless of his religion or lack of it. 😔

Please guys, never chance losses and never wager more than you are supposed to...

A sad reality of online streaming that also doubles as a gambling promotion is that it can have unknown consequences with its widespread reach. As it recently came to light, a fan of Adin Ross took his own life. The controversy however was much more than just this fact. The controversy stemmed from the fact that Adin Ross' editor, being completely apathetic to these news of a man taking his own life, called it "old news" in a dismissive tone.

Source: https://www.sportskeeda.com/esports/news-rip-him-adin-ross-editor-confirms-kick-star-reacted-fan-taking-life-due-gambling-addiction

Adin Ross is one of the most famous streamers in the world right now, with his content having hundreds of thousands of hours in watch time. Of course much of his content is direct promotion to slots games and such gambling. Perhaps Kick should add some limits to how "controversial" a streamer can be in their platform. People like Ross were banned from twitch after maaany violations.

What do you think about this? Do such people deserve a platform even on Kick?
What I expect is that a disclaimer be made visible to pass the responsibilities of what people do with the information to them. He style of presentation, who often appear as being controversial, may just be part of his uniqueness even though he seems to go too extreme. I wouldn't hold it on him for another of his follower taking his life, there is really no justification for that. With a disclaimer, followers should understand the importance of maintaining their sanity while consuming the content.

This is not the first time someone is taking his life with even awkward reason. We must not ban people or activities just because people who are sick could not know how to control their emotions. We have heard of issues of supporters of a team being attacked for merely being supporters. Should the team whose supported attack others be banned for the actions of their supporters? Even though these two scenarios may not exactly be the same, I'm sure you should be able to get the message it is conveying.  People should take their mental health seriously, this is the simple truth.

I don't expect them to publicize this news since its a disheartening breaking news that led to someone taking his life, this will make other feels about a negative impact of gambling on ones life to the extent of taking life, though this gambler made his own decision in going for that as his own choice, but it was wrong and serves a bad impression for the media to air this sad event to the public because many will see the negative effect of gambling being projected in such manner and be disappointed.

This highlights how important rules and responsibilities are in the online streaming industry, especially regarding shows that involve gambling. And of course, Adin Ross, who is one of the famous streamers, has quite a large influence on his audience, also on the promotion of gambling in his content, which could have a negative impact on his audience, especially vulnerable people.

An apathetic action taken by editor Adin Ross regarding the news about a fan who committed suicide, this shows a lack of sensitivity to circulating and serious issues. Of course, this can raise questions about content ethics and responsibility in the streaming industry. And individuals who are indifferent to the negative impact of the content they create, of course individuals like this are not on stage, because it can endanger users and can damage the reputation of platform itself.

Well, it's not in my capacity to judge someone whatever their job. no exception, for streamers. however, as long as the platform that is their media does not prohibit it and no rules are violated, they have the right to do what they do, in this case their job is to be a streamer. Regarding cases like the one told in this thread, what is ridiculous is someone who commits suicide because he lost his gambling. this is where we have to remember, and have an understanding of gambling itself. what gambling means to us, everyone has different assumptions and thoughts. well, there are various cases in the form of gambling that end in tragic stories. Suicide cases over gambling are not something we have heard recently throughout our discussions about gambling. so, in this case I don't have the capacity to interpret someone. It should be the viewers who are smarter in their responses when watching streamers' broadcasts.

To be honest, I rarely see streamers broadcasting their gambling. I would rather have a real discussion than witness something we don't know. I mean, is this streamer actually spending personal money. or, it is paid by a specific casino platform. The point is, if indeed there should be many cases like this. Moreover, the percentage is very high, maybe the platform provider should increase its regulations regarding gambling streamers. Well, and that's beyond my control or assumptions. So, I leave all of that to the community to judge.

God is great
Gambling Addiction put people in serious problems but still people still take other people's experience for granted instead to learn from it .addiction is real and gamblers needs to understand this. The danger of getting addicted should be the reason why gamblers needs to be very careful with the way they involve themselves in gambling.  Gambling is very risky and can't be predicted,  it will be unwise for one to play with excessive money thinking it will definitely be a win. The risk in gambling is very high , it is better for people to play a lower amount that they can afford to lose, even if anything happens it won't be a problem to one.

what a poor soul. this is the reason why gambling can lead to something bad. no one wants that someone will take their own life just because of gambling. moreover, he is still very young and has a long future ahead, it is very sad to see a young person commit suicide because of his addiction.

that's why it's important to campaign for responsible gambling practices and gambling education, so that bad things like this can be reduced or even eliminated.

Kick will soon take down these gambling streamers if they keep doing this, they are insensitive to their followers they will not offer sympathy or even condolences if Kick, kick them out on their platform, and they have no platform to stream their live gambling streamers they will soon lose their income.

They are deceptive, in how they promote the gambling platform if you're a newbie you are in danger of getting hooked up on gambling, this is why I don't watch streamers and I don't recommend these streamers.
If these people would really be just making use of their common sense then they wont really be ending up on having that kind of addiction on seeing these live streamers on regarding about gambling.
It is really just that mind boggling that they could really be easily get hooked up with these streams because if you do really just simply make use of your own common sense then you would really be easily be able to spot in or even how i do see these streams to be that interesting? Due to those big wins because of that huge amount bet for each roll and hitting up jackpots?
Somewhat people are really that easily be getting fooled and this is why having this kind of marketing is really that still effective because there are still those people who do get influenced by this.

Its true that these influencers should really be kicked out and never ever would be letting to have those kind of streams. I dont know if Twitch did make some revoking those decisions
with those kind of streams on which i could say that it is really just that ethical.

Even if you talking about just (Adin-Ros) you are wrong.

We already have many people who are from normal people (like gamers, etc) streaming about (Gambling) once they got a deal with casino. The other problem is we need to take a look on CASINO too, because they chasing new people by targeting non-audiens gambler (especially a streaming content are not originally about gambling). I don't mind, If they sponsor (Steve, XPOSED, Roshtein and other gambling streamer) because these streamer is originally streaming about gambling. So mostly the audience are gambler as well, the problem are non-gambler streamer sponsor.
