If things like this continue to happen then we might began to see the need for introducing gambling education to the people, maybe the gambling platforms can start that on a tutorials as well as being taken up by some willing NGOs to see that gamblers are properly oriented about gambling, though i don't think we have this kind of thought to the point of death in gambling no matter the condition, we know some people can go beyond their selves and can't wait to face the consequences to what they have caused, such people can be oriented to understand that gambling should be a means of fun and not a threatening life experience, if we watch or limit.

This is not an event that happened on daily basis and most of the time just an isolated case. There’s no need for a proper education on gambling because it’s not a usual things that people do. Many people that living normally doesn’t involve on gambling while introducing it in the form of education might give them an idea to gamble instead of being innocent about it.

We can’t control every people mind to avoid committing suicide because we can’t watch them 24/7. I think having a support group that is accessible to everyone with discreet feature might reduce an incident like this because people that commit suicide is typically alone and no one support him to unload his problem

A sad reality of online streaming that also doubles as a gambling promotion is that it can have unknown consequences with its widespread reach. As it recently came to light, a fan of Adin Ross took his own life. The controversy however was much more than just this fact. The controversy stemmed from the fact that Adin Ross' editor, being completely apathetic to these news of a man taking his own life, called it "old news" in a dismissive tone.

Adin Ross is one of the most famous streamers in the world right now, with his content having hundreds of thousands of hours in watch time. Of course much of his content is direct promotion to slots games and such gambling. Perhaps Kick should add some limits to how "controversial" a streamer can be in their platform. People like Ross were banned from twitch after maaany violations.

What do you think about this? Do such people deserve a platform even on Kick?

Gambling platform should ban any gambling streams so that they can avoid there platform to be used by toxic streamers which doesn't think about what would be the result of their over exaggerating promotions to their viewers. We see a lot of this issues happening and hopefully they would not just take an action if there's something case like this happen but rather they became pro active if they see something not good happening and this kind of promotion is spreading like a virus on their systems.

They should follow what twitch did twitch did since it can make the life of their viewers or platform user better and they make sure that they are fine watching those reliable streamers that can really entertain them.

Prohibition is also relatively difficult for streamers because many platforms also want to have a competition, they also often turn a blind eye to issues such as gambling, as long as it is not excessive and disruptive, platforms will still allow a small corner for advertising but serious advertisements such as gambling will usually not be overly encouraged. Besides, it's hard to blame online streamers, they only advertise because of income, but the problem with addiction comes from the viewers' choices, viewers should understand better to avoid misunderstanding the advertisement

It's already a normal thing to blame someone else for other people's mistake? Shocked

If you're not able to become a gambler, don't gamble, block everything related to gambling.
If you're don't have a boyfriend or girlfriend, don't watch porn, no one ask to watch it.

Today, it is increasingly possible to observe the negative impact of gambling advertising on computer game streamers. Many of them are starting to show their viewers how easy it is to make money at the casino, without mentioning the risks and addiction.

This can lead to young people, imitating their idols, starting to gamble, not realizing that this can lead to serious financial problems. Unfortunately, such advertising creates a false impression of an easy path to success and wealth, which can lead to negative consequences for young people. It is important that streamers are aware of their responsibility to the audience and do not encourage players to participate in gambling without proper control.

In my opinion, all those gambling streamers should be exterminated like the plague.  Most of them earn money by endorsing gambling platforms and streaming games with fake money, drawing in younger susceptible viewers vulnerable to addiction.  This is exactly why Twitch banned gambling livestreams.

Well you have to look at it at two (2) perspectives:

First, these streamers are making money by the advertisements that they were hired for. These advertisements can range from any kind of platform, whether it be sports, games, gambling, etc. At the end of the day, they are basically "hired" to advertise and it is their job to fulfill this obligation.

Second, streamers have also the obligation to determine which kind of advertisements they would allow on their channel. Naturally, they will pick an advertisement that has the highest offer they may be given. Despite this offer and money, they still have the obligation to know their audience and the implications of their actions.

With that being said, it can still be argued that Adin Ross is just doing his job. Necessarily, all the consequences of his advertisements should not be taken against him as every person is capable of deciding on their own. On the other hand, it may also be argued that there must be a limit on how a streamer advertises gambling given that this platform is very destructive due to addiction.

       -   I don't know this @Adin Ross; as far as I understand, if I'm not mistaken, he is a stream influencer who promotes online gambling, am I right? For sure, some of his followers are addicted to gambling because of his promotion of some of the links he gave about gambling casinos.

Here in our country, the influencers or streamers who promote gambling online are rampant; almost all of them have ruined the lives of ordinary people; even minor children have become addicted to or learned to gamble because of them. yet most of what they promote are still illegal casinos. So they should only be given an example that should not be imitated.

Lol I have to admit that I didn't know about the platform "Kick" until I read your post now. Did a quick search and found that they are paying millions for contracts with well known streamers from Twitch, which I do of course know.

Calling a suicide "old news" is probably never a good idea, let alone in a dismissive tone. But in this case it is even worse when it is really known that the suicide was the consequence of a gambling addiction of someone who followed a streamer mostly streaming casino slots. I mean this would get me thinking about my actions at least. Streaming casino slots is rightfully highly controversial. All addictions work the same way in the brain and whether it be alcohol or drugs, gambling can be as bad in terms of the processes in the brain and how it can harm a human being.

You could argue that gaming could be harmful as well if people start losing control over their social lives. That's true, but when you are a gaming addict, usually the damage you undergo can be repaired in a reasonable amount of time. If someone loses control over gambling and destroys their financial situation, this may have life-long consequences and can perhaps not be repaired in a reasonable amount of time.

Since I don't know all the circumstances, I can't really judge what exactly was the case here. But if I had a free choice as to what I would like to successfully stream on a huge platform, gambling and casino slots would not be on my list. Everyone is responsible for themselves, but I couldn't be passionate and happy about streaming something that I know will guaranteed destroy some lives that can't manage to control their habits.

Take streamers serious at your own risk. Streamers wiĺl gamble with huge amount of money, beat all risks attached and still win lots of money to the amazement of many. Such a sight is really captivating and interesting to watch as many will watch with envy and  will even  wish they were actually the ones who won. Know this, most actions taken by streamers are staged. This actions are aimed at promoting the casinos. No one in their right mind should make streamers their role model or even be a fan to avoid being influenced because the end can really be disastrous.

A gambler who is really conscious of himself will never be tempted to gamble beyond his capability. Gamblers enter into troubles because they know what they can afford but will want to try their luck with something that is way beyond them. Adin Ross has done nothing wrong, he was only doing his job for which he is known for. The victim of addiction died out of his own carelessness. I just hope gamblers learn from these sad experiences and gamble responsibly.

Reality state things out, there's no fingers to point with how the victim took his own life, the decision is all in the person's side Adin is just doing his job and for those who understand what streaming job was there's no blame as the person only doing his job and he's good from the industry or audiences that he choose, though it's sad to hear that someone died becuase of gambling but to pinpoint a person who's just practicing what he needs to do to make a living, that's should not be taken in his account.

Like what you said, gambler should use spare money or the amount that they can afford to let go then move forward whatever the outcome of their sessions, with that, there's no extra or exceeded amount to lose which can push you to the limit and like what happened taking your own life becuase you can' carry the load.

The key on here is that you shouldnt really be tending to mimic out yourself to be like with those streamers on which you would really be pushing up yourself to limit that you should be betting on the same amount that they are betting or trying out to copy on how they would really be able to make those wins. On the time that you would really be something like this then you would really be that likely be ending up on getting that too desperate on which we do know that these influencers are really that having that huge bankrolls then you might be ended up on taking up some loan just to make yourself that having also that big bankroll too.
We do know that common problems do came from those common actions like taking up loans or spending your life savings.

On the time that problems becomes worst then this is the moment that you would really be having those kind of considerations on stopping but well it is already too late or
something that made out that huge impact or effect into your life on which the worst things that you would really able to experience and could be resulting into suicide.

Gamblers should have high and precise awareness of the risks in gambling so that when gamblers experience defeat they will not be mentally affected by the severe depression they are experiencing and gamblers must have a good mindset because every problem has a solution. , not by continuing to end his life. the problem will just be resolved.
And from the start, gamblers must be able to stay away from thoughts like that. If you can't, then it's best not to enter the world of gambling because the risks are very high.
Not many gamblers have a high awareness related to their gambling activity because once people involved in the gambling, they will gets tempting with many gambling games inside the casino. They will slowly forget to control themselves while playing gambling because the fun that they gets when playing gambling. That makes many people losing much money without having a chance to recover their lose and if they don't realize about that, their loses will becomes bigger. They will gets depress when their lose becomes bigger and don't know how to prevent the next losses. If they already have awareness and always practice their self-control, they will not have the big lose and will prevent the lose not to become bigger. They knows that they must be careful when playing gambling so they can treat gambling as an entertainment.

A gambling addict took his own life because of his addiction. What Adin Ross has to do with it? And you are suggesting to ban people like him?

I tell you what, people with many followers are always getting those accusations. It used to be like this 50 years ago too. If we went the way you are suggesting we would ban everything that is popular. That's what I think.

When gambling a gambler will only lose money and as a result of losing money they will bet more money to recover that money and again when they lose money they will lose all the money. After losing all the money they borrow money to gamble and when they lose that money he will be mentally broken. That may have happened to the person mentioned above. The person you mentioned may have been so addicted to gambling that he gambled until his money was gone and when his money was completely gone he either didn't stop gambling but instead went into more debt and gambled resulting in a Unable to settle the debt, he chose to commit suicide. Excessive gambling results in his family losing their children if he is married his wife children losing their own people. It is better to refrain from gambling than to cause harm to oneself by gambling in this way.

Gambling addiction is ruining the lives of people who bet to win more, become mentally disturbed and commit suicide when they lose. Gambling is considered a bad disease in society due to the increase in suicide rates it is more common in adolescents and young adults. If you see that there is a chance of loss in gambling then it is never possible to solve these problems by destroying your good life by refraining from this sin.

This is a terrible news and I wish there was more things being done to prevent suicides. It doesn't really matter if it comes from gambling addiction, problems in a relationship, getting fired, or any other big issues in life where many people are struggling with. Suicides are terrible because it not only ends the life of the person suffering, it also hurts all the people around him. Being a family member or a close friend of a suicide victim is devastating, because you will ask yourself all your life if you could have done something differently and helped more. The government should invest more in the prevention and therapy to help people in need. As for gambling streams, I think they are fine as long as there are big disclaimers that it's just a form of entertainment and people will struggle to replicate the same kind of returns. When it comes to casino streams, the influencers usually have a relationship with the casino and either get some free bankroll or a fixed payment to promote their games. The large number of views on gambling streams shows that people are interested in them, but the streaming platform needs to make sure that strong rules are in place and all the streamers and influencers are following them.

Well, this isn't a surprise. The number of suicides due to gambling is really high compared to other suicidal problems out there. This is what they want to influence their audience with and there's nothing to blame with this issue other than this influencer. Personally, there have been times when I've thought about taking my life but I always remind myself that it's just a bad day and for sure tomorrow will be different. I want to quit gambling but I can't. I don't know why. Hopefully this won't happen to me.

It's really alarming seeing and hearing such all the time, they know they can't afford it,they will go into it,they can't gamble responsibly they won't adhere to,they know what gambling is made for they won't buy into it.and that's what is resulting to them commiting suicide cause they must have gamble with a huge amounts or probably loan from anywhere just to keep up the game but they end up loosing as well as commiting suicide cause they feel there's nothing they should live for again as they must have gotten that big loss.

But this is not the right and best way to keep going as a lot of gamblers will keep falling victims,it's a decision making game that involves discipline to oneself,I don't gamble this way and I have control of it ,but like you said you want to quit gambling it's a hold decisions to take cause akot of people keep saying such, nobit won't happen to me until it surely will.
Like they say make hay while the sun shine, make a decision earlier rather than regretting later on.

What do you think about this? Do such people deserve a platform even on Kick?
Did read the content, and in our country, I know many noticed it already as well, but there are some online game streamers that turned out to be gambling promoters already. If anybody here is living on the same country as mine, and has played online games (MOBA), you know them as well. Aside from that, I've seen many influencers that are promoting gambling sites on their every video.

It's very sad to see a person killing himself just because he got addicted into something and in this case, it's gambling but TBH, these influencers aren't obliging us to gamble. They aren't forcing us to gamble. They are promoting it yes, but at the end of the day, it will be our decision if we will gamble or not. I'm not siding either one of them because like many others are saying here, these influencers must be eliminated, but at this rate where many are promoting it already, I don't think that it will happen unless these social media platforms will not allow any gambling sites to be promoted.

At the end of the day, these influencers aren't forcing their fans to gamble on the website they're promoting and at the same time, as fans we aren't obliged to gamble at all if we don't want to. Why? I mean if you want to support that influencer, you can just watch his videos right? Why going to a point where you will also gamble on the platform he/she is promoting especially if you aren't gambling at first place. Quite sad to see a fan killing himself/herself because he/she got addicted, but it is what it is and whatever happens, we will see these types of content online where famous influencers will constantly promoting gambling websites for the sake of MONEY.
