But since this is a Champions League thread, it would be unfair not to talk about other competitors from different leagues who also scored more goals. The point is that in the Champions League being top scorer is not as easy as in the domestic league.
Yes the top scorer competitors in the Champions League are more difficult because there are many clubs competing in this round if Lewandowski can create goals every match and until the next rounds he will be on the list of top scorers in the Champions League but for now Lewandowski has not even scored many goals in the UCL tournament.
He has definitely had a good time thus far being coached by Hanse Flick. It was the same when they were working together last time. But I think it is not only Hansi Flick, but Lewandowski himself adjusting a few things. But then again let's see whether he can continue like this or whether he will once again fall into a hole of bad performances like he did last season. But he has got some other support now with Raphinha and Yamal, Lewandowski's game gains in value. He has these fantastic players who have got the speed and the technique and he can do what he can do best and focus on that only.
