We wouldn't blame Real Madrid for hiring Mbappe because if Real Madrid had been this way without Mbappe people would have also been saying that Real Madrid made a mistake of not hiring him but however is as if he has gone from better to worst, I believe if he had scored the penalty real Madrid would have peak form since it was still 1:0 against them, perhaps if another player had taking the penalty it wouldn't have resulted that way.

However the penalty missed out was actually common for them because it was back to back, though it was funny seeing the positioning of Mohammed salah and were the ball went, he could not believe he was the one that played it do to how surprised he looks, meanwhile Alexis Mac Allister is a good midfielder for Liverpool and I love his finishing because it was smooth and clean no too much stress for him and Bradley has cleared the obstacle for him.

In that match, Mbappe and M. Salah both failed to take penalty kicks. But our focus is more interested in Mbappe's failure because Real Madrid was the one who lost. Maybe if Liverpool lose then our focus will also shift more to Salah. And yes, missing a penalty kick is normal.

Yeah you are right about that because even if the outcome of those penalties was the same but for the Real Madrid side it was not the same because it was meant to be a symbol of hope for them, while Liverpool didn't have much feeling about it based on the fact that they trust themselves they will never lose the match, however do you think the match would have taking another dimension if Vinicius Jr was around? Because to me I believe they would have made the game 2:2 because it was not only the Liverpool boys that had those kind of opportunities of scoring Real Madrid also has, so I believe Vinicius would have done something about it if he was there, however Getafe is there next opponent on the Spanish La Liga and I don't think Vinicius will also be there for them unless he recovers before then if not is another trouble for them since every club is pulling them.

Real Madrid made a mistake by hiring Mbappe and spending too much money for a player like him. Real Madrid had a much better option but Real Madrid couldn't even use the penalty kick they had.
However, we can't blame Mbappe for everything and he is just a part of this team regardless of his getting the lowest rating in the game against Liverpool I'm sure he was trying to do his best but it was not enough since Real Madrid still lost the match with a 2-0 result against Liverpool.

I think you people just love to see the downfall of a star. Kylian Mbappe is not the only player in the team. Real Madrid are going through a bad phase, let’s not forget what Mbappe did in the Champions League and World Cups. It feels like Real Madrid fans were expecting a second Christiano Ronaldo maybe that’s why they are so harsh on Mbappe in his first 3 months. I think Mbappe will eventually adapt to Real Madrid and get back to Mbappe that we know and love.

I think the biggest problem is thinking that Mbappe is the best football player in the world. Yes, he achieved great success at a very young age, everyone thought of him as having the quality of Messi and Ronaldo. He was quite successful, but does he play well enough to save the whole team when something goes wrong with the team? People's expectation was that he would be a great star player, and when he came to this team, it was said that the biggest star in the world was coming. People do not like it when they see such a performance Smiley

Real got Mbappe as a free agent so they couldn't refuse such a player. As for his game, maybe he is not at the peak of his form now, and this penalty could have affected the game, but failures also happen, Salah also couldn't score. Well, Liverpool is in better form now, it was evident from the game, maybe if Vinicius could play, then Real could achieve more in attack, but their defense was also weakened.
Mbappe is a super star player and he is healthy now, at least it is luckiness for Real Madrid that they did not hire a player who is sensitive with injuries like Woodgate or Owen. Mbappe has a lot of time to adapt to his new club, new teammates, new coach and the coach can change tactic, position to use Mbappe better too.

He is under big pressure now because of his ambition and expectation of the club and fans as well, but bringing more critics and more pressure on him, won't help to improve his performances for Real Madrid. If anyone loves Mbappe's football, let's give him freedom and time for improvements.

Real Madrid is not at fault for hiring Mbappe, nor would it be right to blame them. Because, before coming to Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe's performance was extraordinary. He was a source of hope for the national team and his former French club PSG. But if he cannot perform well after joining Real Madrid, then it is no fault of the Real Madrid authorities.
Perhaps they made big fault by hiring Mbappe even as a free agent, because they have to pay him money for other things. High salary, and other costs for this player too, but they ignored many warnings before the transfer that it's risky to attach Mbappe to their squad. It can potentially create conflicts among star players and on field, it's hard to combine their players with Mbappe. So far these concerns are proven as accurate, and Ancelotti is struggling to use Mbappe effectively while don't affect performances of Vinicius, Jude and Rodrgyo.

But I understand that many people feel disappointed with Mbappe because everyone's hopes for this player were initially too high. So when this player can't play well according to everyone's expectations, people start blaming him or anything to vent their disappointment. And all of that is normal. because I was also disappointed. But actually, if you look back at Real Madrid's current condition, having Mbappe is actually a good thing. At least when Vini Jr is injured like now, this team still has Mbappe. Although I also hope that Mbappe can adapt more quickly. But yeah, it looks like we have to be patient waiting for this player to really find his true performance again.

I think Kylian Mbappe is getting mentally damaged day by day and he is under mental stress, which we see reflected in the match. His wrong passes and wrong shots in the match question his performance. I consider Kylian Mbappe's return to form important for the rise of Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappe. However, I hope that the black chapter of the team will start to end when the injury list of Real Madrid players is shortened.

As we agree that Arne Slot brought Liverpool better than Klopp.
In my opinion, It is too early to say that Arne Slot has brought Liverpool better than Klopp. Slot inherited the squad that Klopp left, he also has not presented a single trophy for Liverpool. Juergen Klopp has contributed many trophies to Liverpool during his time as manager, the trophy correction given to Liverpool is very complete, during his time as coach, he has led Liverpool to win several prestigious events such as UCL, EPL, FA Cup, Community Shield, European Super Cup, Club World Cup and EFL Cup. So if you want to measure the level of success of Arne Slot with Klopp, he must be able to make Liverpool win several prestigious competitions like Klopp has done.

Turns out it only took one Conor Bradley to shut Mbappe down. We still forgive Moh Salah for missing a penalty, but I'm not sure Madrid fans will forgive Mbappe for missing a penalty. 3 points brought Liverpool back to the top of the table and now 2 leagues have been secured by Liverpool perfectly (Top of the Premier League and Top of the Champion League). A very special win for Liverpool as the last time they won was in 2009.

Conor Bradley was indeed in the spotlight in the match, he made Mbappe fall on the field and to stop Mbappe if not for him maybe Mbappe could have scored a goal in this match, plus when Mbappe took a penalty but was thwarted by the Liverpool goalkeeper, it certainly made Mbappe even more annoyed.

Moh Salah's failure to execute the penalty was not a problem because his 2 teammates had created 2 goals in this match, the most important thing was that Liverpool could beat Real Madrid without conceding.

Dortmund is in 4th place but everybody is talking about 24th place Madrid.  Grin Finally Dortmund stringed together a bunch of good performances, in league play and UCL. Sure Zagreb is a team you should win at but after a combined 6 losses in a row in away games it was refreshing to finally see BVB having a dominating performance outside of their home stadium.
I hope they can finally take this momentum and do something with it, only the timing is miserable because they facing Bayern Munich this upcoming weekend, which couldn't be a more difficult task. Well, at least they are playing at home so there is a small chance to make this game successful, but I have my doubts.  Cry

Tomorrow we will see the match between Borussia Dortmund football team and Bayern Munich football team. That match will be big challenge for Borussia Dortmund team because head to head performance of Bayern Munich team is brilliant and Bayern Munich always win the matches one sided. Bayern Munich team won 3 matches out of 5 matches which they played against Borussia Dortmund and one match was draw and Borussia Dortmund won only 1 match against Bayern Munich. Bayern Munich team is winning the matches with consistency and there are more chances that team will this match one sided Borussia Dortmund team won 4 matches and they lose 1 matches in last 5 matches.Players have to make struggle in this match.

It is hard to imagine that teams like Real Madrid and Manchester City have to go through the play-off round to reach the round of 16, but that is the reality today. Both teams are strong candidates to win the trophy for many people, but unexpectedly, their performance has decreased drastically due to a storm of injuries to several key players. Manchester City is slightly luckier than Real Madrid because they have collected 2 more points, after winning 2, drawing 2, and losing 1.

Real Madrid, who currently occupy the last place in the play-off round, should be vigilant, Ancelotti must immediately find a solution to save their chances in the next three matches. Atalanta, RB Salzburg and Brest are easy opponents, I think these three matches will give Real Madrid a place in the round of 16. Meanwhile, Manchester City will face more difficult opponents, Juventus, PSG and Club Brugge. The additional two matches in the play-off round will make the players even more tired.
Seeing Manchester City and Real Madrid in the play-off zone is a bit surprising this season. Because everyone initially predicted that these two giant clubs would be the same as last season, namely being a tough and unbeatable squad and would qualify for the next stage easily. But now what we see is the opposite. Manchester City and Real Madrid are both having difficult seasons in the UCL. Especially Real Madrid who have even experienced 3 defeats.

And yes, Real Madrid in the next matches will have easier opponents. Maybe it's only Atalanta that I think will make things difficult for Real Madrid. Because Atalanta is currently in very good performance. In fact, Atalanta has never lost so far in the Champions League this season. So Real Madrid really has to be careful with Atalanta. If not then Real Madrid could lose points again.

Mbappé arrived at Real Madrid for free. The club did not have to pay too much money in a transfer fee to get him. Under those circumstances, a talented young player like Mbappé would be described as a strategic move on the part of the club, given the great potential he has.

Both Mbappé and Real Madrid are going through a complicated moment, especially in the UCL. His irregular performance has been put into bright relief, but it is one of the demands of a process of adaptation to a club as large as that of the Spanish capital. The success of the club in extracting the maximum performance from Mbappé will be instrumental not only in overcoming the present difficult moment but also in building a foundation for future success.

Real Madrid has a tradition of nurturing young talent until it matures into some of the game's biggest stars. Mbappé, with proper support, is capable of becoming that player and leading Real Madrid's return to glory both in La Liga and in the UCL.The poor result against Liverpool was disappointing, but there is still time to turn things around.
Real Madrid indeed gets Mbappe for free but they give high salary for him and if i am not mistaken currently Mbappe as the player with the highest salary in Real Madrid with over than 31 million salary per year so it's normal if the owner and also the fans demanding Mbappe should be performing well with Real Madrid for each matches of this season but in fact Mbappe hasn't able to showing his top performance as he showed when he played with PSG

I have to says season 2024/2025 is bad season for Mbappe this because he still hard struggling to adapt with Real Madrid and the match against Liverpool few days ago has been showing Mbappe performance is still not consistent so it is normal if he received a lot of criticism because the fans feel dissapoint but i think people shouldn't blame Mbappe because Real Madrid indeed facing storm injured so this makes their performance were decline

High expectations on Mbappe which has turned to become a big burden on him is mainly not unconnected to the elaborated signing about his move from PSG to Real Madrid. The media never took it like a regular signing of a winger from one club to another and that made the fans raise their hopes on his performance to be something extraordinary when he has to play in Real Madrid jersey.

I think there's so much time for him to prove his quality and definitely not this season being his first season with Madrid. By next season he should have found a soft landing with his confidence on how to go about with all the expectations and how to deal with it both in and outside the pitch.

I mean he was the best player in PSG, and he was considered one of the best players in the game, not saying he is THE best, but currently I would say he was ranked top 5 easily, and what happened?

He took years to finally move from PSG, to his childhood dream club Real Madrid, took years of drama to be finally able to achieve that move, and when he finally did, Real Madrid was a team that won both La Liga and UCL last season, so he joined a team that was already amazing and what happened afterwards? Absolutely nothing, they are not leading at La Liga, and they are not doing that great at UCL at all, they are looking quite terrible at the moment. We should be considering how this could be a bit different because the team has a lot of injuries too, but definitely not a good look for him.

Mbappe wasn’t bought but came free although he has a high wage but Madrid is a marketing club and I would say the business part of him coming was weighed more higher than that of him playing better football. Although it wasn’t that much of a necessary signing since Vinicius is also playing through that position. But regardless I don’t still think he is a flop or wouldn’t hit his mark in Real Madrid because they have had many players that came and were even booed by the fans but turned out to be the most loved, example is Benzema and Modric. Modric was voted the worst signing in Europe then and Benzema was booed by the fans both ended up winning the golden ball. Another clear example is Vinicius Jnr who even played as a right wing back under Zidane, today he is the fans favourite.
Mbappe can also be like those players you mentioned at Real Madrid when he has completely changed and adapted well enough in Madrid. Although for now Mbappe is still not developing much at Real Madrid because he is still a new player this season, but over time he can definitely change and become better like some other players in Madrid. Only for conditions like now, Real Madrid really needs players who are fitter and also have great potential in winning matches because now Madrid is being hit by more injuries to their players.
All eyes are on Mbappe after he officially joined Real Madrid, and it is natural that he has not been able to show his best game like now. However, this is not entirely his fault because he plays more in his new position which certainly affects his performance. It would be a different story if he was initially a player who was not much noticed, so when he could not show something good then it would be considered normal by many people. However, the label of a star player will also be a pressure for a player which means he must be ready to accept all the very harsh criticism.

It was of course not a mistake to sign Mbappe and since the cost for signing players like him have gone through the roof in the last decade, it is not as if Real Madrid gets to choose what they pay for someone like him. He is essentially dictating what clubs have to pay him. Besides the performance on the field, players like Mbappe bring value to the club in other ways, too. His jersey sales were said to be 450% higher than those of Bellingham and this keeps going.

But at the end of the day what counts is what he does on the field and while I fully agree that it has been strongly disappointing so far, I don't know how long he will take until he finally gets back to old strength, but I am pretty sure he will and then you would never argue again that it is wrong to sign a player like him.

For now it remains to be true what you have said, but the basic idea that he was too expensive and not worth the money seems to be off to me. However, the photo you attacked about him tells quite a bit about how he plays and behaves and this body language is one of the problems I have observed for a while now.

~Snip~
If Mbappe had been able to score from the penalty spot, the match would have been tied. This penalty was very important for Real Madrid. After a goalless draw in the first half, Real Madrid fell behind 1-0 at the beginning of the second half. If Mbappe had been able to score this goal, Real Madrid might have been able to earn 1 point from the match.

If Mbappe had scored that penalty in yesterday's game, it might have been a different story today. It's possible that Real Madrid players would have put in more effort, as that goal could have brought them happiness and boosted their strength. They might have started aiming for a win. However, since Mbappe missed the penalty, I believe it partly affected the players' morale.

We know Real Madrid well they have the ability to equalize whenever they are losing to an opponent. They especially try to win games in the Champions League competition, as they have proven time and again. Yesterday's match might not have led to a win for them, but it's possible it could have ended in a draw if Mbappe had scored the penalty.

Yes you can never tell for sure, but I think a goal from Mbappe would have shifted the momentum at least a bit or it would have changed the game because Real Madrid wouldn't have to open up anymore and play for the win. They I think would have been ok with the draw and then they would have been the ones who could patiently wait for one attack and score a goal. But since they were behind, it was impossible for them to stay calm and patiently defend. There have been plenty of games where one goal changed it all. Should I provide an example? Manchester City vs Feyenoord Rotterdam Tongue
I think more importance should be given to how good a player is at helping others than at scoring himself.Mbappe may have the most goals in his career but the French striker has very few assists. If he goes to a team like Real Madrid and is treated as selfish then that player will not do well at least for Real Madrid. All the players that Real Madrid have are very talented so if Mbappé thinks that every player is just sitting there to pass him the ball then I would say it is completely Mbapp's wrong idea. The conditions of the game will certainly change but here Mbappe has to be more diligent and if others help him with the ball he should help others. By doing this, it can be seen that due to good communication with each player, the team performance is getting better.

As for Mbappe, I hope he has nerves of steel, another unsuccessful match + a missed penalty and endless criticism (due to inflated expectations) can drive anyone into depression.
Many observers say that Mbappe might not get the Champions League trophy during his career. Maybe that statement will also be a mental pressure for him amidst his deteriorating performance. He comes in when Vini jr, and Bellingham with their best performance moment so that he must go beyond to it. And it also becomes to high pressure for him when the fans were complaining so much.

He should be changed the moment when Vini jr got injured, but he did not make the most of it, and instead wasted opportunities. He's already a key player now, all the ball is already leading to him on front. he must do the same like he did on PSG.

it's sad that he's not just what he carries himself to be, or say what the media poses him to be.. lost a penalty that maybe, miraculously, would have saved the club from the losing. Well, it happens to even more established players in the league, so he's not an exemption. Infact, mo.salah of all people lost a penalty in the same match so??? Let's give him his flowers for the little (which clearly isn't his best)...so we're hopeful that in a while, he'll be a great personality in the laliga.

The win was a smooth one as real Madrid players didn't have the coordination to stay in the game for long... Meanwhile, Liverpool held down time, talking chances professionally... It worked!
