But what i think the Europa league does...is give a second chance for teams that have lost their spot at home for both champions league and europa league to get a free golden ticket to the bigger league while facing less competitive teams Tongue

I think the teams that play in the Champions League are all mostly quite same. But every different team with the Champions League, For example- the winners of the Champions League of the last four years are Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Real Madrid. So even though the good teams are generally the teams who play in the Champions League but the winners of the Champions League are generally different.

In the Champions League, we can't make any surely predictions about any team. All the teams there are comparatively good. And even the small teams sometimes show great performance. The Bayern vs Barcelona match is definitely the Bayern is favourite. But for Barcelona, it is a do-or-die match. They will fight hard. Benfica will win against Dynamo Kyve. This is their home match.

I like your parable. It's true that it's like that because this match is quite important for them, on the other hand the match against AC Milan has no effect on them regardless of losing or winning they will still qualify and become champions in the group.
I think something like this is very good to be used as a rotation of players because there are indeed a lot of players who are lacking in playing minutes and Liverpool will definitely replace some of the core players with their ranks.
in addition to reducing the risk of unwanted things, this is also good for making players more fit

Imagine a key player subbed in 80' and get tackled so hard at 85' and have to miss for the next 5-6 weeks.

of course you can , but a risk is a risk. to play for 90 minutes or just 5 minutes still has a risk and if i were the manager i would treat that kind match as a friendly match by using players that havent match minutes enough.
everyone know that strategy would be used in these kind cases , period.
