Seen the video of Periera in South Korea and one guy couldn't take his leg kicks as the guy took his punches to the body.
No wonder Jones wants to fight him, he probably did this as a publicity stunt so to get the Jones fight instead of Aspinall.

You saw in the stories that he was punching a Korean and he didn't feel a thing. What does that guy eat to withstand so many punches?

About the fight, if the UFC wants to make a lot of money in an event, all they have to do is put Charles do Bronx in a fight for the belt against Makhachev in Brazil, who by the way, Makhachev should be in the top three because he hasn't fought in years. And as the main event, Jones vs. Pereira.

The fight world will stop with this card.

UFC Fight Night in Macau!
Date/Time: Saturday 11.23.2024 at 03:00 AM ET
Venue: Galaxy Arena
https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/events/116899-ufc-fight-night

Main Event:
Petr Yan  vs.  D. Figueiredo
Co-main Event:
Xiaonan Yan  vs.  Tabatha Ricci
Main Card:
Kenan Song  vs.  M. Salikhov
Cong Wang  vs.  G. Fernandes
V. Oezdemir  vs.  Carlos Ulberg
Ozzy Diaz  vs.  Mingyang Zhang
Preliminaries:
Su Young You  vs.  B. Jenisuly
Kiru Sahota  vs.  Dong Hoon Choi
Xiaocan Feng  vs.  Ming Shi
C. Hernandez  vs.  N. Tumendemberel
L. Kavanagh  vs.  Jose Ochoa
Long Xiao  vs.  Quang Le
M. Hayisaer  vs.  Nikolas Motta

Petr Yan is the favorite @1.29. Both fighters came from a win but Figueiredo is on a good three winning streak. I bet he is planning to make it four against Yan. Cheesy Still, the odds are in favor of Yan because he is stronger, has high accuracy in his striking, and is larger. I think Figueiredo will try grappling much but he will need to overpower Yan first before he gets a chance to take him down. This will be fun.

The card was very good, but what left me feeling empty was the main fight and I found myself thinking about it too.
The main fight was with a retired fighter who only came back for this fight. He was visibly tired and when he took hits, he just stood there. I found this depressing, if you look at the list of fighters, you will see several good options who simply refused to fight Jones.
They had to put a retired fighter in the fight because the big fighters in the category didn't want him.
He retired Stripe if you didn't watch the post fight interviews after the fights.
Both fighters had good ones especially Jon's where he called Dana White Daddy and Hunter his Uncle. Cheesy

The guy's at MMAFightingSBN had a good perspective of how the fight went and what the likely outcome of this win by Jones will eventually have him asking for a record setting $40-50 million to face Aspinall if Dana White wants him to really fight him before he vacants the belt and fights Periera:

It's a good path, Jones against Aspinall and whoever wins will fight Pereira. I like this, it's interesting for Pereira, and he has the advantage of watching the entire preparation and how both fight. From what I've seen, Pereira is in Asia, maybe he can absorb something there too and improve his fight.

I saw the video of Pereira sparring with Koreans. God knows what he learns from that, and I think there is a good chance Jones vs. Pereira will fight rather than Aspinall.

Jones wants Pereira he said in the post-conference that he wants Pereira or nothing. He emphasized being an American champ which I'm guessing UFC doesn't want a champ from somewhere else like Aspinall. They already are not happy with Ngannou taking home the belt.  Grin

Tom Aspinall vs Jon Jones really has to happen at some point and I think UFC is already building the story up even if Jones tell the media and the fans that he doesn't want to fight Tom. However , he also said that as long as the big money will be involved for this event , it really doesn't matter for him if he wins or loses and he is right but I can also feel no matter how great Aspinall is , at the end of the day Jones will still win.  Hopefully , we get to see Jones vs Pereira too because that is also a very big PPV if it happens but I can Jones taking Pereira to ground and from there transit into a submission because Pereira has no ground control at all.
It will as from the video I linked above had Tom already say "Success!" by the end of it for his requests didn't fall on deaf ears.

UFC 309 has been written in the record books as one of those unforgettable events just from the storylines alone.
The post fight interview reveals alot of what to expect in the next few months inregards to the fights to be inked.
We have Shavkat Rakhmonov going against Ian Garry for starters which was revealed during the broadcast of the event.

Here is all the details from the CEO of the UFC himself:

You have Tom Aspinall, the fighter who wasn't even fighting that night, the highlight name of the night.

He had something to say in his own channel on youtube which I never go to fighters own podcasts really expect for Renato Moicano but this one made many curious of what he had to say after we all found out who his next opponent will be:

UFC 309 early prelim matches are going to begin in about an hour and half from now so get ready for a good card to bet on!
Here are the markets for these fights scheduled:

https://sportsbet.io/sports/mma/ufc/ufc/matches

Not too sure why some fighters odds are not available to bet on but if you click on their matches you can place a bet on their 1x2 market instead of the ML Winner.

Am going to place a bet on Ruffy, Bo Nickal and of Jon Bones Jones and a few other exceptional fighters I noticed fighting tonight.

Plenty of interesting fights but mostly for legacy with Jim Miller and Weldman on the card.
Bo Nickel comes straight to mind on who you should look for if you want advice on who to bet on.

The weigh-ins happened and only one missed weight.

DC is and forever will be a company man. He just goes with what Dana does and has put in place.
Jon said that during the pre-fight Press conference along with several other things:

The weigh-in show is underway and they are currently interviewing Tom Aspinall right now:

Dana White did say during that presser yesterday that the winner will fight Tom Aspinall.
No questions asked about it now.

Yes, with this statement, it is difficult to say whether or not there will be a retirement on this card. I hope it doesn't happen, but I was thinking that at least one of the fighters would.

I only bet on Charles, but there are other interesting fights. But I want to root for him and I took advantage of the bet.

Jon jones has declared DC as the most skilled fighter he fought against,

“I think actually Daniel Cormier is probably the most skilled,” Jones said during Wednesday’s UFC 309 media day. “His Olympic-level wrestling, his dirty boxing, and his boxing. But, Stipe’s beat Daniel Cormier. Stipe, he deserves to be here, man."

Dont think many people would disagree with him  Grin

I watched media day and Stipe Miocic was funny, he brought his food on the plat and he was eating while journalists asked him questions.
He is underdog this time and everyone knows that but I had to place small bet on him to win with this odds.
Someone needs to take down Jon Jones eventually, so why not Stipe.
Just finished watching Jones in this Media day and he was talking about how these 30 year olds and their social media streaming culture isn't his thing.
And yeah caught a bit of Stipe's interview and he was eating while talking to the reporters. He obviously hates these things and did not care what they thought of him.

@danherbias07. Your bet with knockout or submission on Jon Jones and his fried chicken legs is very good. I will make a similar bet also heheheh. It is very much known this Stipe will certainly announce his retirement after this fight. My prediction is Jon Jones will also announce his retirement hehehe. However, he will wait for a very good heavyweight champion to become the ruler of this division and return from being retired to fight the champion for very much more money than he is presently being paid. This is fried chicken legs business heheheheheheh.

Thanks, bro.

Jones versus Miocic. One of the top-awaited fights in UFC. Me and my baby brother had been fans of Jones ever since his UFC debut and we will never miss this fight ever. Cheesy It's one of the moments where we agree with each other which is why we will both watch this game in one place through PPV. A brother bonding moment.
Why not? Jones had been gone for a long time and now he is 37 years old. That fight against Gane made us brothers hype for him again and I think he will still keep on winning until he retires. He is the GOAT of the UFC and I will bet for him.
x1.16 for the win is not a good deal for me so I am going for the KO or submission @1.41. Good luck with your bets.
