Shavkat Rakhmonov won but nearly got choked out in the final few minutes of the final round by Ian Garry.
The Japanese phenom didn't win on his debut in the UFC as many had already predicted exactly how it was going to play out.
Asakura was striking early on with those flying knees but the champion was not having any of that and just manhandled him until he subbed him in the second round.
Aljo lost his match up against an awesome looking Movsar Evloev.
He is prepared to go on to take his next opponent which he had already mentioned he wanted to face off against in the post fight interview:
Movsar Evloev Won't Beg Dana White for Title Shot, Will Keep Winning to '100-0' - Calls Out Ilia Topuria: 'I Need His Title'

It's only at the last minute that Rakhmonov escaped that tight triangle on his body. The welterweight division needs more of those grapplers other than Rakhmonov.
It's too early for Evloev to have a title shot. I doubt he could handle Topuria since he is not a finisher, but yeah, he can wrestle. Surprised to know he has a programming and law degree, he does have an option besides fighting but he is currently enjoying the trips.
