For sure I would bet for Tatsuro Taira aswell but it was a good thing that I didn't get to bet for this fight as I was out of funds right now, and I have seen some that will surely go with Royval in this fight and I can not blame them as Brandon Royval was exposed to the likes of Alexandre Pantoja and his recent great win against Brandon Moreno and because of this experience with most of this encounter he has seen a great counter against Taira but the kid is really something and for Sure Brandon Royval have already seen it that Tatsuro is really something aswell and some have said that it was also a robbery because Taira has won some rounds it was really a back and forth performance both did a great job for sure but for me, I really think that both did a great job it was really a close one and I don't want to be biased on Taira for this fight.


It was really expected but when Alex Pereira's camp revealed that Pereira has health issues man to think he performed this well while having something like that he is a different beast but for sure Khalil Roundtree is also a different beast and could be a great gatekeeper in this division I might say if Alex Pereira can level up his playing field and go beyond this division maybe Roundtree could become champion aswell but for now I want to see an Alex Pereira VS Magomed Ankalaev fight but maybe in the future as Magomed Ankalaev will have his fight against Aleksandar Rakic in the UFC 308 but if Pereira would go in a higher division early maybe a Tom Aspinall fight is Jon Jones don't want to fight Aspinall that will be a great card to see.

I watched today the fight as I've missed it and I must agree with you. It was by far the hardest fight Pereira had in UFC so far but he is such a great fighter that no matter how hard you push him in first rounds , he will eventually over power you and win the fight and that was the case with his fight against Rountree.  I'm also very curious to see how long can Pereira hold the belt because no one seems to be able to take it from him now.

The main event was a huge upset for Tatsuro but many of the youtubers were foreseeing this and cashed in on a Royval win including MMAGuru & MMA Expert who said Brandon was going to win even if he was over 3.40x odds.
So good on those who took a Royval win seeing Taira is still young coming in at 24 years old so still has alot to learn when it comes to a five round fight.
Royval wanted to see if he can be the backup towards the Alexandre Pantoja bout against Kai and even said he will fight at 310 if the UFC will allow it. No wonder they call him the raw dog.

About McGregor, he doubled the bonuses right after the fights at BKFC this weekend. Is he still high on that coked out livestream because this announcement for him wanting to fight Dan Hooker sure does sound like it.
But there is a set date of Feburary 1st. According to the article they just talked about it.

This was the first lost fight for Tatsuro Taira in his MMA pro carrier, but some wont agree with that after split decision win for Brandon Royval.
I saw Royval is now asking for a title fight in his next fight but I think it is early for that, and there are better fighters in flyweight division.

Conor McGregor says he has plans to fight with Dan Hooker in Saudi Arabia after a years break since 2021, and they both agree.
Now UFC is on the move.

With Conor's bet on Duelbits he is their ambassador so it is for advertising purposes. So I think I read in the UFC rules on this those whose sponsored are allowed to bet on UFC matches just not their own.
Also his interview with the Shimo last week it sure sounds like he won't be fighting in the UFC anymore and going to be fighting in his own MMA organization BKFC which he is part owner of.

The five fights are for the main card so after this Pearce vs Sabatini fight then the prelims should be done.
There was three miss weights but I think those fighters were during the prelims.
As for who I am seeing winning is Tatsuro of course.

This is not the most entertaining fight card on paper but I think main even is going be exciting to watch.
Tatsuro Taira has a perfect MMA record with 16 wins, but odds are to low on him to win.
 

This guy had been the apple of the eye since that live stream and most of his comments on different champions of the sport.

I am glad he made some good money from that fight. I also know there will be a KO but I didn't see any option where you could bet for a KO only. Most sports bookies are offering when the match will end or who is going to win his pick must be from a different bookie.

But here comes the problem.
You can't bet on any fight and that's the truth.
Every sport is trying to punish those who will do this to avoid inside jobs. Whether he made the bet or not (his family or relative, if it's proven that the money came from him then it going to give him a lot of trouble. Sports managements are trying to avoid this to keep the sport clean and I think McGregor will say he ain't the one fighting but if it's a contract that he should not bet at any means then it's still wrong.

Anyway, we have Brandon Royval versus Tatsuro Taira later. Who is your pick? I pick the younger guy who is trying to climb the higher heights. Taira will win this!

I remember Dana was saying he wanted to appeal to the Asian market and Japanese inparticular with signing Taira and there was another one from Rizen MMA he signed on to compete against him but his name slips my mind at the moment.

I see, so it must be their strategy to captivate the Asian people. After the loss of the Korean zombie with his retirement, a spot opened up for an Asian fighter who could carry the UFC name there. And there's also the fact that he's never lost, so this fight is worth a lot for him and for the UFC.

Dana has been looking for someone from Asia like TKZ and found Taira. Maybe the reason he didn't need Mokaev to make the flyweight exciting is because of Taira.
He Taira will be a dominant fighter in the FW, he seems to have fast-tracked his way to getting a title shot after defeating Perez. Maybe after Royval he will be fighting Pantoja already for the belt.

Tatsuro Taira - he is the upcoming star of the Flyweight Division. That dude have no losses yet and I think he will keep it that way. I doubt Brandon Royval to win this match. It's like UFC is just testing the Japanese star. That guy is a winner and I will bet for him. I think Dana White made this match for a reason. He want Taira to be in the front page and it will be this weekend.



It's not a decent set but the Royval versus Taira match is an awaited match that will probably  put Taira on the higher ranking of the Flyweight Division. I will definitely not miss this one.

Unnumbered cards are always chaos, fighters treat them like anything and not as a chance to fight on a numbered card or something. I hope the next ones are better, but from what I've seen I'm not going to bet.

The main event is the one everybody is waiting to see if Tatsuro Taira can stay 16-0 versus a very good Brandon Royval.

For the fights to bet on, it is still to early to place bets because with any UFC event you will more than likely have a fighter pulling out of these events.

In your opinion, are there any good fights to watch or bet on? I don't know much about the fighters on this upcoming card. And I need to keep an eye on them because at any moment one of these unknowns could be on top.

Yes, it's true and it has everything to be a great era. But I believe he won't want to stay in this category. He'll want to fight in other categories soon and that could make him lose some fights.

He won with a KO and he had more problems with Adesanya in second fights, he lost that fight, but that was in middleweight division.
I think Pereira is doing much better in Light Heavyweight division, and he does not have to worry about weight cut so much.
We are in Pereira era now 

I believe this was Poatan's most difficult fight, Rountree is faster and even managed to land several significant blows on Pereira, but when he got tired, he realized that his entire body was already marked.

That is why I am doubting betting for Jose Aldo, I just don't feel that he can win a fight anymore. It's nice that it went until the decision but still, that energetic Aldo is gone and the aggressive moves are unseen anymore.

@rdbase Yeah, Julianna Peña definitely surprised me with how she fought Raquel Pennington but I did say I was going to risk my money on Peña and I was right. I am one of the old-school fans of that lady.

About the main event, well, that was highly predicted to happen but Rountree did a great job being tough on that Octagon against the champion. Going until Round 4 even though he is messed up on calf kicks and body shots. It paid dividends for the champ in that 4th round.
4 bouts for Alex Pereira this year, I think he deserves some rest and just come back next year.

Alex Pereira was really amazing and just like I thought the fight would go in his favor never expected Roundtree to hold on surely he has an incredible chin and for sure Khalil Roundtree is also dangerous in some that he even knockout Pereira in the 1st rounds, but still champion and this is his 3rd consecutive title defense that earns him fight of the night.

while Julianna Peña shocks Raquel Pennington by controlling her on the ground but it was really a close fight that many are saying that Raquel Pennington was robbed for me it was a very close fight that you need to recount all the damage that has been done to say that Raquel Pennington was robbed.

The Mario Bautista fight was boring for me well, not the fight but Mario Bautista the one that is constantly moving and punching was Jose Aldo so for me it was a robbery to the legendary Aldo they should give credit to him as he is still fighting even with his age.

Unexpected turn of events Holland having a rib dislocate in a fight was a terrible that happened but that was it Roman Dolidze won because of this.

Lastly, Kayla Harrison was also shocked with Ketlen Vieira withstanding her barrage of punches but she dominated the ground which has given her a lot of points for sure I like to see her in another fight before getting her into a title match.
