I thought the first card of the year would be 311, but from what I've seen now, there will be a fight night before to heat things up!
Also, I forgot there was a JiriProchazka vs. JamahalHill fight. That makes me excited because I think the main event will be terribly boring because both guys will want to stay on the ground and tie things up.

So there was news about the other side of the co-main event bout of UFC 311 but this time is on Merab's opponent Umar.
He sustained an arm injury but despite this set back agreed to take the title shot against Dvalishvili later this month.

Knew the next number event isn't until the third week into this month was wondering what the next event was scheduled.
Then remembered @bbc.reporter post of the two fighters in their bathing suits put up on the thread.
So that is the next one: UFC Vegas 101 on January 11th being the following Saturday after tomorrow.
Doing some research on the bouts noticed there was an article done by a sports site asking Google's AI Gemini to come up with the winner.

Yet another marketing show by McGregor... He sells a lot but doesn't deliver what is expected of him. So this doesn't make me excited about anything, quite the opposite, I won't want to watch anything.
It's time for him to fight in an octagon again and earn respect there. Otherwise he'll be fired soon.

There are always things going on behind the scenes when it comes to Conor and his fights it seems.
Being a McGregor fan must be a very complicated thing. The guy doesn't fight anymore, he only does marketing and appearances in movies, etc.
It's like a singer from a very famous band who doesn't do new shows and only lives in the past. That's terrible for me, but I know he'll still have fans.

What does Ambanis get for this fight? Because I'm doubting this fight will be get a huge profit if they make this fight be regular boxing event. This is not a fight that Indians will pay to see really.

Very slow time in the UFC since they are off for the next few weeks and currently on hiatus until all fighters can return to training for their upcoming matches in the new year.
But we had some news on another UFC fighter who is going to make his return but this time to a boxing ring once more.
Make his return? Really? He became an alcohol and drug addict, which is a huge shame. He really was a motivation for many people in UFC and MMA, he was a good image of discipline and hard work, he could really be one of the best UFC fighter of all time but he ruined everything when he earned money.But we had some news on another UFC fighter who is going to make his return but this time to a boxing ring once more.
He was making fun of Paul brothers and now he fights against them, it's a huge shame. Will they make money? Sure, they'll make but I believe that it will affect his legacy. We are basically seeing a man that has gone from nothing to something to everything and then returns back to nothing.
He will get knocked out, money will be made and that's all. By the way, he can really make comeback if he knocks out Logan Paul but I'm afraid this fight will also be scripted.

In my opinion, there are very few women who really dream of fighting. It seems that they all start out with the goal of being a champion, but halfway through, they prefer to just be famous as a fighter and turn to other sources, leaving the fights aside.
There should be more women's fights on all cards to better introduce these fighters who are more interested.

She started out as a fighter in the PFL but I imagine she became one of those who nobody could beat so she moved on to where she could be challenged and get paid more to do it.

With the UFC ending this year, what are the prospects for the upcoming fights and for the fights that will shake up the divisions? From what I've seen, it will be a night fight in Las Vegas. So, I don't expect it to be a big event.
The biggest upcoming fight would be Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall as they had been talking about it non-stop over the past month.Had heard that Jon is asking for $20million which is along the lines of what one of those Jake Paul boxing matches go for that got grabbed by streaming on NetFlix. So they definitely had the money to pay him what he was asking.
But I am not so sure Dana White will just say yes to what he wants to be paid.
Tom Aspinall would not get paid as much Jones will be getting paid since he is the challenger.
The next big fight that is getting alot of attention is Merab vs Umar.

My most favorite fight of 2025 will be on the first event of the UFC next year heheheheheh! This will be the fight on who will be the baddest sex kitten in the world, Mackenzie Dern vs. Amanda Ribas. These sex kittens are blackbelts in BJ because their fathers are very much experts who began teaching them only they were very young. They have different tactics and technics, however, there can only be one winner!
Everyone should be very much excited for this. I wish they will show all of their skill on the ground and they will not stand up hehehe.

Joaquin Buckley did a great job at winning the fight against Colby Covington. He is very aggressive but he never let his defense down and in fact, he stopped a lot of takedown attempts of Covington. Truly, the only way for Covington to win that match was to take it to the mat and he did it in Round 2. Sadly, he didn't do much damage during that time and Buckley got back up. Round 3 was too much blood from Covington and it's scary because the blood coming out was thick. Buckley won, ref/doctor stoppage.
That's it for this year. On January 2025 we will have Ribas versus Dern. How I wish next year UFC will have some Christmas specials too just like in other sports as their year-end fight.

I think it's very risky to bet on knockouts on this card. In my opinion, this card doesn't look like there will be that many knockouts. Especially on the main card, I think everyone should go to the judges to decide.
But there were quite a few knockouts even the main event between Buckley and Covington was ruled a technical knockout even if it was a doctor's stoppage.@xLays 5 correct and 8 losses isn't that bad of a prediction for a difficult one to predict but if you took the favorites than you mostly won your bets.
The only one I had incorrect for mine was Petrino where he got knocked out with only a minute and a half left of the final round for him to win the fight. As he was dominating Dustin Jacoby for almost all three rounds.

Have put together this UFC parlay earlier so the odds have changed especially for the main event where Buckley's odds are slightly higher as of now:
I think Colby's talk at the prefight press conference and having a look at the weigh-ins have swayed some people to put big money on him now.
I mostly picked the favorites and hopefully there aren't any upsets in these bouts. But I can see Cub Swanson winning against Billy Quarantillo as an underdog or Navajo Stirling getting beat by Tucos as a very heavy favorite.
