I think three of these ways are reasonable, but for me, exchange is a better choice. When I see the price of a new token on the markets, I think I can make better choices.

The is cheaper in ICO`s, you can get their coin in low price and you earn a lot of profit in it when there ICO has ended, because mostly of the altcoin increases the price at the end of the ICO, especially the coin with a potential.

In my opinion the best time to buy altcoin is when it listed on good exchange and bounty hunters sell it, so you can buy it for a good price.

You can find your self buying a coin thinking it's already in the bottom but end up going down till the real bottom. Therefor try to learn about the charts and trends.

I think when it dips and during its pre-ICO stage. Those two phases are the best because it's the time when it can be at its lowest point, and therefore, the money you can earn can actually be double or tripled what you have invested for since you can get them during these stages for less and so you will have more asset while investing less capital. This way, you can also achieve your set profit margin with more certainty.
