65 million in the People's Republic of China
20 million in the Soviet Union
2 million in Cambodia
2 million in North Korea
1.7 million in Ethiopia
1.5 million in Afghanistan
1 million in the Communist states of Eastern Europe
1 million in Vietnam......

And all of them overshadowed by the following:

150 million natives exterminated by the Catholics in the Americas in 16th century
100 million Hindus killed by Muslims during the Islamic conquest of India
90% of the Australian aborigines killed by the British Christians.

Religious people have killed at least 10x more people, when compared to the atheists.

You are very right, but mostly because atheism is simply another religion, like it or not. There isn't any person alive without religion of some kind.

Ask for sources BADecker don't say "you are right" so easily.

Hitler had been a Christian (Catholic) in his early years. Although he fell into crazy religious ideals in later life, he never denounced the Church, and he was never excommunicated. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religious_views_of_Adolf_Hitler

We don't know that he was an atheist. He probably wasn't. So, the Holocaust wouldn't necessarily fit the classification of genocide done by atheists.

Smiley

But since the Catholic Church is not Christian, and he wanted death for people, he was not Christian. Anyone who wants death for people, is wishing to cut their life shorter than the Lord intends and may stop someone from being saved, this is not a love for that person. Because if we love our brothers and sisters, we wish for all to be saved as the Lord does.

1 John 4:20 If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

No Christian should attempt to cut another's life shorter because that life may have been saved later on, also that life may have gone on to save even more people. Some of the best testimonies of Christianity are from atheists who have been saved. They deserve to live long enough to be saved and perhaps save others through their testimony.

Neither of the two passages necessarily make a person an atheist, or even an unsaved unbeliever.

We simply don't know whether or not Hitler became an atheist.

In the Crusades of the middle ages, Crusaders were theists that did a lot of killing in the name of the Lord. Much of the time they were wrong in doing it. But they never became atheists because they did it. They were simply ignorant Christians.

Smiley

I didn't meant to imply the lack of being Christian equals being an atheist. I just got sidetracked towards the end. Hitler wasn't Christian because he had no love for his fellow men and women on earth and was fine with torturing them. Anyone who has a hate for people and wants to murder them for some reason (even if they think they're doing the Lord's will) are not Christian since the Lord said they're a liar for calling themselves Christian.

But not being Christian doesn't make them an atheist. They may still believe in God, but not truly know Him.

And I didn't mean to imply that it was right of Hitler to do what he did.

We don't know that Hitler had no love. When you are in a position of leading a great country like Hitler was, there are times when you need to become calloused.

When you look at the history of Germany, the Prussians, and other groups who fought in WW1, it is difficult to say for sure that Hitler was wrong in his beginnings as leader of Germany. Sure, Germany was not right in what they did in WW1 and before, but the way that they were mistreated after they lost that war was not right either.

Did Hitler love the German people and Germany? Or was he only using them. Hard to say. But one might give him the benefit of the doubt in this area. At least some of his hate for the Jews was based on things that some people he thought were Jews did or attempted to do to Germany. It was war, and you love your own people more than you love the enemy.

You can feel like it all day long, but that doesn't make it true. The Wikipedia article I linked above expresses that we don't know for sure. Or do you have an inside track with people like Hitler?

Google "Was Hitler an atheist?" to see that there is a lot of evidence that he was not an atheist.

Smiley

I corrected my post above:
For sure politics (this kind of) falls under Freemasonry (they believe in the Great Architect or the Demiurge) in most case: which is a more close to atheism view than theism.
Freemasonry: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freemasonry
Demiurge: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demiurge

For me this is atheism as well despite the fact that they think of themselfs SUPERIOR to atheists because they believe in a Supreme Creator.

They still believe the wrong one.

Or this kind of politics falls directly in State atheism, like China these days.

True. Religion doesn't keep people from doing bad things. It simply shows them the difference between good and bad so that they can make up their own mind better. Religion helps define the borders between good and evil.

The thing BitNow and I were talking about is what we want for atheists. BitNow has expressed in the past that they want death for atheists. I have expressed that I want life for the atheists. And, who should fear an atheist threat more because of what they want for atheists.

Smiley

Well, personally, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, so I would prefer not to involve myself in other people's affairs too much. Let atheists be, for they have made their own decision.

Even if there is a chance to convince atheists to change their opinion, I wouldn't bother trying anything. I mean, this is basically the same as an atheist trying to convert religious people to atheism.

In the end, it doesn't really matter.

Huh! A difference of belief.

If an atheist changes his ways, and becomes a theist, there is a much greater chance that he will find the true God, and be saved.

Certainly, on the other side, if a Christian truly loses his belief in God, he will never be able to be brought back to salvation again. But, God works especially hard to keep his people.

If an atheist converts a theist who is NOT a believer in the true God, both unbelievers are still unbelievers.

However, the atheists need more protection from you than they do from me. Why? Because I would give them a chance to see truth and change. You simply want them to die. So...
