This same question have asked myself countless times, why is it that scammers sees Telegram as their home and perfect place to scam, probably because they know they can hide for years and keep scamming innocent people without been caught because I know of many people that has been scammed of token worth of reasonable amount of dollars. I hope Telegram look into this sooner.

Because most people in this market use telegram. So scammer is trying to get in here to deceive investors, I use telegram every day and I get lots of messages from scammer. There is no way to remove scammer from this market

What Telegram needs is a trust system just like bitcointalk and most of the problems will then be solved as users will easily be able to differentiate between a scammer and a legit seller who is old and trusted. Without any trust reason or some kind of filter there isn't any way on telegram to deal safely. Now a days there are an increased number of the escrows based on telegram and it have become easier to make a deal with the escrow in between the buyer and the seller as there is no need of any trust between the buyer and seller, all they need is to mutually trust the escrow.

True! In other words, even though Telegram is particularly benefited from the use of cryptocurrency users, it's just a social media platform. It's just the same as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. I believe there's no association between Telegram and Fraudsters. Why would they have to do that though? If you notice, there are scammers all over the social media, not only Telegram but also Twitter, Facebook, Skype,.. in different ways. The thing is that you have to be wise and careful!

i am agree with this point, scammer will not join on telegram only they will find any channel that provide them opportunity to scamming people. and unfortunately telegram now be main communication media for crypto project which is provide huge money there. so its not strange why they move here. and as telegram user we must becarefull when suddenly someone Pm us offering services or sell something. most of them scammer that will take our money.

Good advice, I must commend! Aside from not joining telegram channels that may not be of importance to you, users need to utilize the "Privacy settings" where restrictions can be set as to who can add you to a page and who can give a direct message. These settings help to filter the scam private messages users get.

Its not about the issue about that. OP's topic is about how fraudster can manage to infiltrate on telegram. Actually we can stop these people on doing scam activities, even using impersonation is their style usually on major exchanges. Once someone ask question about funds they suddenly will message you about help and this is the part where scam begins. Always remember they will not pm you first cause this modus has been happening eversince.

Telegram got a lot of bad press because of it´s ICO and the tax problems caused by the investors. That was one issue but the bigger one is the fact that as soon as you reach a certain amount of people in your community, it´s almost natural that you attract fraudsters as well. This seems like you are blaming telegram team as the real culprits here, telegram is not associated with scammers, scammers are only using telegram as their tool of mass fraudulent activities, the telegram team knew nothing about this
