I think there were just so many cryptocurrency users or maybe the cryptocurrency community is just already used to in telegram even big companies are using it that is why a lot of scammers are also in telegram.

Also, the creating an account in telegram would not require anything but only a phone number that you could use, you could also make any username you wwanted so it would be a good opportunity for scam projects and scammers.

There are many ways to get scammed on telegram but the fact is you always get messaged first, to avoid this go to user account settings and block all incoming messages, you won't get any messages from strangers unless you text them first

The ability to create bot and lots of functionality is why telegram is a good tool for scammers, we can't blame telegram for this, people use good tools for bad things, it's not a new thing at all

Well its happening not just in telegram but in other social media platforms as well. Scammers are doing their best to take advantage the features of tg to scam other people but it doesnt mean tg is associated with fraudsters they are just using it as their tool.

Thats why for newbies its better to be careful and dont trust easily especially those who offer an easy money or high return.

How can you say Telegram is associated with scammers? Is this Telegram's fault? Telegram is working continuously to remove all the scamming from it! Whenever a group or a person receives several reports of scamming, Telegram tags those as a Scam group or Scam person! Telegram is very easy to use, so, the scammer can use it easily and they try to make people fool! The good thing is people are smart enough, they won't fall in some random scam PM or scam airdrop by the group! But we need to keep spreading more awareness about those dishonest fraudsters!

Right, but just like any other social media sites we have, Telegram have been exploited as well by the cyber crooks to lure and victimised people specially beginners. It is being used by large groups to create bots and they we have the cyber criminals, give fake promotions and fake give aways. And then impersonations, so as users of Telegram you must be very very careful who you talking to, because you don't know, maybe one day you will fall for their trick.

The telegram itself has many uses to a lot of people but yes, with the vast number of users, scammers find it a good playing ground to catch victims of their fraudulent activities. Also, because you can disappear or delete your account anytime, it is easy for them to create accounts without a trace. Those who are new in crypto will find good promotions or giveaways to be attractive, especially some airdrop of new coins. They won't realized it that they are only getting few pennies in exchange of their kyc info (if in case that project is asking for kyc details). It is not worth sending your docs to unknown people in telegram. There are so many instances that these scammers are using this social media channel. If you find one that you are suspicious about, a person or channel, report them via pressing the report button under the info of that channel/user. This will be a small way of helping removing those scammers in telegram. I've done this quite a few times already. Maybe you can opt for others - if that person is trying to scam users

One example is that any user can delete their private messages both on the sender & receiver's end.

To address all these concerns, Telegram also came up with a new feature. Legit users can now report suspected scammers and Telegram will put a "SCAM" label next to their usernames with a warning if proven guilty. If you wish to report also, just contact telegram support or message @notoscam and provide the necessary evidence.

They know there are a lot of groups out there which are not in private so they can just come barging in and find their victims.
Being anonymous is also a part of it.
They won't easily know who you are unless you track their IP or they put in all the information like phone numbers or e-mail address.

It is the best place for them unlike discord in which you will need an invitation to enter one group.

When it's comes to crypto and business I would prefer telegram as their customer service towards the users are extremely good, when it comes to payment we need to be very cautious before sending or accepting not only in telegram even in other payment apps as well.

It's easy to impersonate, most cryptocurrency projects use telegram and scammers can easily impersonate users of such support channels with tricky alphabets. I think telegram should implement id system like discord, of course it will not get rid of scammers completely but it will be bit easier to recognize them.

Telegram is only a tool and it can be associated to anyone as they are free to do whatever they like to Telegram. The only problem is for people who easily fall to the hands of scammers and it is not the fault of telegram why you lost your money.

Many are using Telegram to scam because Telegram is very popular tool that were being used by project owners,bounty managers and etc. to manage their project. Fraudsters are adapting it and using any types of tactics just to scam other people but if Telegram will be use correctly then it can really help the investors,project owners,bounty hunters and etc. to easily communicate or do their task.

There is a tagged if the telegram bot or someone has been proved to be scammer(s) there will a word scam associated on their names.

The only problem here is when they change their username or details cause they can just rename or edit it all over again to do scamming activity. Telegram has been widely used for scam so better yet if there are people who pm you, just ignore or confirm first if they are really the one you are talking with. Cause mostly admins wouldnt ask you first or use pm conversation to contact you.

Because it is easy to target the victims in telegram. You can use fake details, if you use the bio space and write an authentic username there, people think the account is real. Moreover, the chance of being traced through telegram is very low. That's why scammer use telegram to scam others.

no it isnt . telegram is created for useful purpose such as when instant mesaging and ability to upload of download any files . infact fb and other social media sites are more bigger and many scammers/fraudsters also lurks there but then again social medias are created for a different purpose .

its just the nature of people to do those acts and they do chose a place that are popular enough as that is easy to found a victim . than those platforms that arent realy well known . im a long time user of telegram but ive never been tricked out because i already learned from my past mistake on fb which i got scammed too .

See? It already came from your word that there are also scammers which don't have Telegram. Therefore we conclude that Telegram is not directly realated with the modus of scammers — it was a justa social media platform nothing more and nothing less

. Well, it is really the main app used by the managers to gather all bounty participants in one place. However, it is not fair if we include it on the scam itself because whatever you say, the bottom line is it was just a medium for communication. If there is someone who should blame here then it should be the devs or leaders of the project who conducted the campaign. Maybe you are able to said those things simply because you are getting scammed more often, how unfortunate you are Sad

. Just be meticulous next time when choosing a bounty, that's the best thing you can do I guess.

There are millions of scammers at telegram and they can create a new account every day if they like, as long as they have a phone number, everything can be solved. However, now investors are smarter and often ignore these messages so now this situation no longer appears. Of course, newcomers need to be careful and should consult with their predecessors.

Those who made telegram never intended it to be used by fraudsters. Telegram is for everyone, just as other social media platforms are for everyone, so anybody is free to use it, for whatever they desire. However, I think there is a provision for reporting scammers and spammers, most especially spammers.
Now, most scammers on telegram spam. They come to your pm to spam and telegram has provided a means through which you can report anyone that PMs you first and such account will be blocked.
telegram has nothing to do with then and that is why they take actions against it wherever it is reported.
