Bitcoin is the only leader in cryptocurrency. When the price of Bitcoin goes down all other coins crash. When it goes up all other coins go up.
Ethereum follows this pattern too.

Bitcoin itself won't be taken over/replaced by a different cryptocurrency unless there is some major shift with the cryptosphere or a lot of the fiat financial systems start to move into cryptos and everyone pushes for a new one.

I don't think that bitcoin will be replaced, but I believe that we will have more cryptocurrencies which will grow high and it will make profit for a lot of smart people.
For now and the foreseeable future, I don't think so because bitcoin still remains the focal point of cryptocurrencies. The success of every other coins is somehow tied to bitcoin because it's the most popular and what people are mostly interested in

Bitcoin is the first and original coin. It is the highest priced coins in the cryptocurrency world. Bitcoin has the largest audience and most sought after coins. In short, it has proven its trust and reputation in terms of cryptocurrencies. Personally, Bitcoin cannot be replaced by any coins. It would still lead the crypto world.
If this situation happens i think the only one can be is ETH.

That was long ago, years actually. There should be another payment system that will replace Bitcoin and it would be mandatory to use.
This can be possible but due to my information regarding enlightening network developments will help bitcoin to survive and make powerful its current position.

I agree with you. I don't think that there will be a coin that could replace Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency and on the top in terms of popularity and value; there's no coin could replace it; maybe there's could be great as Bitcoin but it is not enough to replace Bitcoin.

Bitcoin has faced a lot of criticism before but it was still able to stand firm amidst all the obstacles it has faced for a very long time already. Some people are throwing out opinions saying that bitcon will no longer be number one. Cryptocurrencies like ethereum are already rising up and they have all the potential on dethroning bitcoin but we should not stop supporting bitcoin no matter what.

Anything is possible here in crypto world so there's always a possibility that bitcoin would be replaced by another cryptocurrency. There's a lot of possibility here in bitcoin so it is much expected that time will come wherein bitcoin would fall down and another cryptocurrecy will rise up. Some cryptocurrencies are showing already their potential on beating bitcoin but I think it would take time to beat bitcoin.
Although bitcoin has some issues that needs to be address, I don't see any reason on why would bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency. Not unless, the existing user base of bitcoin will totally lost confidence on bitcoin and an exodus to another crypto will happen, then bitcoin will be here to stay. Some cryptocurrency may reach the popularity of bitcoin as it has today, but it would just co-exist with bitcoin. More like friendly competition
Day by day the price and the popularity of the Ethereum is going up. It also has faster confirmation time. I think it might replace bitcoin.
Yes true, marketcap ethereum continues to approach bitcoin and has now reached more than 60% whereas a year ago marketcap ethereum was not more than 15%, this is certainly a strong indication that someday bitcoin will be diged with ethereum.
It may take a long time to replace bitcoin. The facts that bitcoin marketcap is the largest, dev. bitcoin is the highest compared to other coins so it will make bitcoin continue to be popular and difficult to replace with altcoin.
For bitcoin to become old-fashioned would be a major triumph. Not saying it “cant” happen, but it definitely cannot be a short term doing, after all no one really knows tomorrow other than our speculations.
