Actually, in many ways Bitcoin in its present form suspiciously like a pyramid scheme of the new model, with a very solid Foundation, but still a pyramid. Profits receive those who had time to invest in this business in the beginning, now to investors the risks higher and higher, and the ratio of profit growth is less. If we talk about mining, then Bitcoin is now generally impossible to produce in normal circumstances, that would not go away while in the red. This in itself Bitcoin is unsecured and has no value except demand.

will bitcoin ever end is a actual brain cracker. i think there will be a big chance that the government will construct some tax regulation sceme that will make it almost impossible to send your btc to your bank account without paying a humongous amount of tax that will leave you whit almost nothing... like a 75% tax thing...
I also think that something bad will happen with future bitcoins. This is possible because if people sell all the bitcoins they own then Bitcoin will end.
