Dogecoin has been my favorite alt coin for quite a long time. It serves as a good cryptocurrency for tipping others, as well as being a fun and inexpensive medium of exchange.

However, I'm worried what might happen to Dogecoin in the future, since it has been quite some time that no new version of the QT wallet has been mentioned, neither some innovation to keep it going for the long term.

It would become ideal for Dogecoin to add SegWit to its code, and gain traction if it gains acceptance from the miners. Then, if it manages to become the first cryptocurrency to accept the scalable solution, it could rise in popularity once more (not to mention that transaction will be near instantaneous).

Nevertheless, Dogecoin is a great cryptocurrency being inexpensive and relatively stable, making it a great way to tip others or send micropayments faster than BTC at a fraction of the cost.

Looking forward to your opinion. Wink

As far as I know Dogecoins are one of the top 10 best seller coin in the listed market due to its a good value and affordable offer prices. In my opinion for Dogecoin in the future will be, it can be last long if all of the Dogecoin holders are keeping up their patronage in Dogecoin.

Well the heart of Dogecoin is its community, so as long as it has an active community it is going to survive. But once that community goes away than you have a worthless coin with no other use case, as Dogecoin was a community coin from the start.  Also its a meme coin so that helps its popularity too.

Yes, maybe so. As long as there is an active community supporting it every step of the way, then there should be nothing stopping this cryptocurrency from becoming used by individuals for generations. I think what's more important here is not the development of a cryptocurrency, but the real uses it could have in our society. Since it's very cheap to use, and fast to transact across the world, I think that many people will find it interesting and will keep it alive for quite a long time.

In this case, then Dogecoin could have a great future where any newcomer into cryptocurrency or experienced user, will use it for their own benefit to transfer money across borders in a fast, and easy way. Smiley

according to my opinion it is impossible, dogecoin was up exchanges in long time everything seems to be too long compared to the What do I need from it. I sold all my dogecoin 2 months ago and switched to investing in Antshare, LTC, Waves, ETH ...
It's hard to make the right decision at this time, but you need to be alert and believe in your own decision. I hope Dogecoin will soon breakthrough in the near future

Looks like this time Dogecoin no longer provides big swings. Daily transactions are only about 1-2% of its capitalization. There may still be little hope of this technology for the long term, but with so many Altcoin at the moment, I think Dogecoin will not be one of the first choices.

I also like Dogecoin for my yearly investment. By buying at a cheap price every year and taking advantage in the next year. The profit is huge when saving Dogecoin.

As for my opinion Dogecoin has a future. It's quick, with low comission and appropriate for dailytrading. Also that coin is on the market for a long time and that's mean lot of people believe in it.

This is a very interesting coin which I use to send any amounts of money from one exchange to another. It is very convenient and cheap. And it seems to me that this coin will always be used for such purposes by community.

Like all other Altcoins, Doge is also having trouble. But maybe the trouble with doge will be greater, because the market capitalization is smaller. The trend is so rapidly changing, and now people will choose the younger altcoin instead of waiting for the next pump.

Perhaps DogeCoin in 2018 still be able to exceed 0.05 USD, or maybe 0.1. But everything happens gradually, with small drops, growth, and close-UPS. Dogecoin's future forecast for 2018 is based on the fact that the coin has a huge support of its online community.

It was created as experiments, in a humorous manner. For example, a dog from a famous Internet meme was chosen as a logo. It seems to be traced frivolous attitude to the project, even the developer. But there is also a high activity of users. They perceive cryptocurrency not as a joke, but as something new and unusual. It is bought in large quantities, spread information in the media, the Internet, used in social and other projects. Dogs even calculated, take it in different online services. The experiment outgrown itself, became a real big project, but the hype around the dogs did not subside. Every day more and more people join the community, even experienced traders and investors are among them. It seems that dogecoin is expecting an optimistic future not only in 2018, but even in 2020. Almost all the forecasts say the growth rate of the dog, but no exact numbers.

Actually Dogecoin is in a good spot. Deserves value since initially it was like a meme.

The increases made DOGE one of the 30 largest crypto markets on the market. Both serious media, such as the Financial Times, as well as those investing in Dogecoin, consider this situation as one big joke, but let us remember that the figures are completely "serious".

Jackson Palmer, who created DOGE as a joke, recognized the height of his "child" as an indicator of bubble inflation in the cryptocurrency market:

I think that a lot about the condition of the cryptocurrency market says that the currency with a dog that has not released a software update for 2 years has a capitalization of over one billion dollars.
It is worth adding that Dogecoin was created not only for a joke, but also by accident. Palmer, who was the product manager at Adobe at the time, along with software engineer IBM Billy Marks, created DOGE "without much thought" as described by the Motherboard website.

This is a very interesting coin and I often use it. I like the fact that when sending a lot of coins, I pay a very small fee for it. It is very convenient.

Dogecoin is one of the most stable crypto currency. For several years now the value of the coin has been kept at almost the same level. Although, we can note a gradual gradual recovery, albeit not significant, it can be concluded that there are prospects for the development of Dogecoin.

Right now, a great many people who buy huge measures of dogecoin are additionally getting it as a speculation, however after digital forms of money accomplish mass acknowledgment and their cost go up, dogecoin holders spent it unreservedly as opposed to storing it.

I do not think this coin has any future except pure trading speculations mainly pump and dumps. Dogecoin as a coin I do not really see it growing much but there used to be Dogecoin Dark which is now Verge and its doing pretty well.
We never know, as long as there is always a volume we can expect big surprise in the future to come.
The market will get bigger and we will see new investors coming in, Doge is in top 50 so it can easily be notice by potential investors.

According to the current market, Dogecoin hasn’t enough indexes in characteristic to predict a great future for it. For example, ETH has more advantages than Dogecoin. So I consider that it could be alive but without such progress like BTC, ETH, EOS and Litecoin have.
