I don't think this will be able to happen because of all coins, bitcoin has the brightest future. Bitcoin has the potential to pass through all the problems it can have like the down fall of the market it will always eventually be stable and normal again. This is how bitcoin can survive.

I am a fan of bitcoin and i dont think that the other coins have a chance to beat bitcoin, i really believe that bitcoin will always be the best crypto as long as it is exisitng on the market and for me bitcoin is really popular now so it can not beat by other crypto even ethereum.

But it is expensive to acquire, so I think etheruem could create more competition for bitcoin, only if it update its platform regularly

Personally I think that it's not possible in the nearest future, cause of the gap and all the cryptocurrencies firstly associated with the bitcoin, it's hard to overwhelm.

It is impossible to foresee, but it will probably happen someday and will appear, the new "king." But it's not clear what exactly the coin will be for such a high price.

Yes, if bitcoin still remains the same, then I believe that it will soon be surpassed by other cryptocurrencies. The survival of the fittest is the norm in every industry. I believe that there will be enough competition and the industry will develop better and better. I hope to see this industry reach a new height. At present, I am more optimistic about the currency is Ethereum and EOS, I think this is the most promising two currencies beyond Bitcoin, they have many good features Bitcoin does not have, such as smart contracts, they also have more bits than Currency faster and more transaction volume.  As we can see bitcoin leads other coin so if the bitcoin disappear i expect that all coin will disappear too. Other coin depends on how much the value of bitcoin have. I also invest in different coin not just in bitcoin. But for me bitcoin is the king of this crypto world and im not going to change that. There are many discussions about this. The fact is bitcoin but becomes a market binder.

Maybe, if the bitcoin value in the market will continue to go down but as I have seen in the market I think it is very impossible to happen.

Perhaps when it happens, but not very soon. To gain the same popularity is not so easy.

Never know such altcoins that can defeat bitcoin until now. Bitcoin is the pioneering coin of all and the crypto world stand up because bitcoin is there. Even though ico s depend on bitcoin to make the project successful and exist for the long time.

I don't think so.  I believe bitcoin will be the king.  As you can see the price of btc is too far from the price of altcoins. Even if btc price is too low there are more investors are trying to get some luck from btc investment.

It can be a good idea to invest in icos but you have to be careful and do your research to make sure that you invest in the right ICOs because nowadays there are too many and many are scams and out for the money.

Bitcoin is the cornerstone of this market, I think there is no coin to create a threat except ethereum. But even the ethereum can catch up with bitcoin in a very long time.

For now I can't lay my hands or figure out the coin that will beat bitcoin. But if am to guess, then the right coin with good potential s ETH, apart from ETH I don't think any other coin stands a chance.

It is not only that is the oldest. Bitcoin is so strong because of its popularity.So many ordinary people heard of Bitcoin and may be one third of them know about existing of Ethereum.

Perhaps paying attention to the charts course could be combined with observing technology patterns or similar crypto-currencies

I think it is very difficult to beat bitcoin although in crypto world nothing can predict. But to beat bitcoin its not easy. Because bitcoin is the strongest coin and the oldest coin.

Every altcoin price depend on bitcoin, so the altcoin price will be below of bitcoin, couldn’t be and never we see another altcoin have high price than bitcoin, many altcoin have listed in the market, but their price is half of bitcoin price,  we know bitcoincash have on high price but they have back to usually their price now.

Well firstly the title of the tread implies a complete different discussion topic compared to your question here. But i will answer both for you.
 
As for an Altcoin crossing the BTC market cap i would think that it is extremely unlikely. BTC just has to much of a network effect to displace right now. The community is extremely large and it probably the only coin rigth now that is truly decentralized along with a very large token distribution ( Ether might be the one exception here).

BTC has survived countless attack before and is most resilient to survive the countless attack to come in the future. I would also suggest looking at the hash power of some of the platform coins here, you will soon find that many of them are extremely vulnerable to 51% attacks right now, ( very easy and cheap to do so) there was a wave of such attacks going about last month ( they hit verge twice, Bitcoin gold as well as a few others) but they seem to have gone quiet right now. BCH as well seems to be on a death spiral right now with hash power depleting very quickly, another overlooked problem with BCH here is that with so many empty blovks being mined so quickly they will be hitting the miner fee reduction time frame much sooner than the real chain. When this happens lower mining rewards couple with low transaction fees as well as low price compared to the BTC chain will mean almost no rationale miner will want to mine it.

Anyways, i just dont think any alt can really displace BTC, as far as ICO's are concerned well i would strongly suggest you tread with caution.
