Hello! I doubt that someday some altcoin will be able to replace the Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the basis of the crypto currency. Perhaps the remaining altcons will be good, like Bitcoin, but they will not replace it.
according to my understanding, other coins can not beat Bitcoin in the future, because bitcoin is the mother of all other coins. bitcoin also has limited supply and also bitcoin enthusiasts higher than other coins.
I do not foresee any better future of every Alt coins than the genesis of all coins: Bitcoin itself in anyway. Bitcoin is the first language of coins understands in every worldly economies. I think we can compare bitcoin and other coins with gold and other precious metal. Do you think any other precious metals like silver or platinum can beat gold ?Maybe platinum price is higher than gold but still gold is the most used and popular metal. Probably not, as of now bitcoin has been rising up tremendously and have a larger margin gap with any other altcoin though ethereum has showing a great potential and other altcoins and can be a big factor in the future.
There is no automatic ticket to been a number one coin in cryptocurrency. I suppose every coin ever conceived have to be mature, develop and functioning properly the way they were designed to function. Regardless of any new technology, bitcoin will continue to grow.

I think for the next few years if cryptocurrency continues to grow the better bitcoin will stay in the first position and no other coins will be able to replace it. we all do not know exactly what will happen in the future, although many new altcoins are emerging by bringing good technology but it is impossible to beat bitcoin.
