The winner can be quite a different crypto currency. For example, EOS or cardano, ripple. In this market it is difficult to predict
After hard fork Constantinople, many technical problems of the Ethereum network will be solved and the price for ETH will increase. Therefore, I think that by the end of the year the cost of ETH in relation to BTC will increase several times.
for me now the winner is ETH because more is invested here than the BTC because of its price now.
Both are in the same field which is cryptocurrency the other crypto is the main basis while the other act as a shadow for it but they are both the same. So if it is a contest both of the are the same it will considered as the participants in the same team. But in my own opinion since ethereum is an alternative coin for bitcoin then i think that the winner should be bitcoin because it is the main coin in cryptocurrency.
Both ethereums and bitcoins will be winners this year in addition to many other altcoins. I believe this year we will start seeing huge gains starting now. It's altcoin season and naturally bitcoins will also rise in price.
As what others may also see here in this two currency there is a chance of that bitcoin and eth will have the same to be as a winners again but in bitcoin case yes we will be always see again that there is a great chance that on how it may done last year this is may become more better.
I am inclined to believe that this year none of these assets will show high profits. And there are several reasons for that. First, the current capitalization of these assets, so they show at least X3, it is necessary to invest about 360 billion there, which is a difficult-achievable goal.
I am sure bitcoin will retain its leadership. All the news, all the talk about bitcoin. Everyone heard about him. Only people already familiar with cryptocurrencies know about Ethereum. So what do you think newbies in the crypto-market will invest in?
I think the winner is still Bitcoin indeed, and yeah, it doesn't offer that big of a deal at the moment but it keeps growing, so I think the fact that is reliable as a payment method is the thing that is giving it so much popularity and growth, ethereum, on the other hand, offered a famous platform, but it lead to the creation of too many projects which dont't even offer that much of a new idea either... so people rather stick with Bitcoin, which is more solid and has way more time in the market.
And bitcoin and etherium this year only fall. The etherium has fallen more violently, so the winner here is bitcoin and in the next year it will be the same.
Bitcoin is always the only winner among this noisy markets specially after light network implementation that bring fast low fee transaction which eth community always remind us about . i am not saying eth is not gaining new support but for sure it is still treated as other in place of bitcoin followers not able even to compare them with bitcoin .
I think that as a percentage, the ethereum will show better results than bitcoin. Time will show.
I believe bitcoin is still the king in the cryptocurrency market in the next few years. Currently, there are not any altcoins that are sufficiently influential and capable of replacing bitcoin. Ethereum is a pretty platform for many altcoins to use but you can see a lot of platforms that rivals the current ethereum like NEO, EOS, ADA very potential. The market share between the platforms is quite fierce, but altcoins are generally all based on the value of Bitcoin. So, there are not any good candidates that can replace bitcoin.
The winner is BTC for me. It is still the king of all coins. And I think there is no chance of defeating BTC in near future.
Indeed, at the moment, Bitcoin's dominance is beyond doubt. But something tells me that soon the situation will change. I think that by 2020, Bitcoin will lose its leading position and give it to new altcoin, which is not yet on the market. But this year bitcoin will remain number one and Ethereum will not be able to move it.
Bitcoin is still on top today, and ethereum is still the second.Bitcoin is the parent of all coins, and people love to invest in this coin because they always make a big profit when there is high volunteering in the market.Ethereum is the future, but it needs time to overtake Bitcoin

the best of cryptocurrency, bitcoin and ethereum are both worthwhile this why i make investments each of them because they are the most dependable cryptocoins that may live and rise high on the marketplace.

Recently, I was thinkig. Is there really any reason for the BTC to be the market leader? The only thing that is giving the value to BTC is pretty much the fact, that it was the first crypto currency. It is the grandfather of all cryptos. But we know it has its flaws... It was never designed for broad usage, it has scaling issues and so on.
On the other hand, we were given ETH. The Crypto Kitties or w/e the awesome internet meme ETH appliction is called showed us, that ETH network has issues with high amounts of usage. BUT, 90% of all altcoins are based on the ERC-20 standard, brought to us by ETH. The smart contracts using the Solidity are extremly good piece of technolgy.
So my question is. Do you think, that BTC will keep its leadership, or will ETH be the winner of this year and surpass its ancestor?

I think that bitcoin will show more growth. but I do not exclude and not bad growth of ETH. But as far as we are right in our forecasts - only time will show 
I met many people who said that they could bypass bitcoin , but bitcoin is still one step ahead
