Hi Hilariousetc,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer funds from the Wirex card to your personal bank account.
If you have only the virtual card you can spend funds for online purchases.
If you have the plastic card you can spend funds for online purchases, POS purchases (offline) or withdraw cash in ATM.

First of all, in your case, we can provide you the full bank statement for your card to ensure all is correct with your past transactions.
Also, I can recommend contacting support about freeze moments, it is not normal at all and should be fixed. Please contact support and send me your ticket ID to speed up the process.

This level of service and support is unacceptable, especially by a company who wants to manage your money.

I'm looking for a bitcoin debit card and this seemed to be the one I was going to go for but I've read quite a few bad reviews recently.

Thank you for your question, I will try to explain step by step what happens in this case.

If card transaction has failed or merchant provided a refund it should appear on your balance in 15 days since the transaction was performed or refund was provided by the merchant. If money is not back in 15 days you need to collect confirmation from the merchant and let us know - we will investigate and initiate a chargeback process if needed.

But please note that after 14-15 days when we receive the funds back (or will not receive any confirmation from the merchant that this transaction was successful) this transaction will disappear from the list of card transactions in your account and your balance will be changed accordingly and become correct. Our clients should just calculate their balance to ensure all is fine. Also, we can anytime provide the full bank statement in few working days where all transactions, even failed or refunded, will be available to see.

I've been part of a discussion related to wirex and I would like to hear (read) your opinion on a matter.

Same problem here. Not even once in a last few months could I do something on wirexapp without many problems. Cherry on top - now I can't even log in.

Everyone has the same problem, they are clearly scamming.

My money has been stuck with Wirex since the 14 of may when my friend tried funding my account via bank transfer.
I asked them to send the money back to his account if they can't process the transaction and since then even after promising to do it, they haven't!
WIREX is a SCAM!!!!
They are stealing!

today after 1 month of waiting they send they will refund my bitcoin to my wirex card within 3-5 days

Guys,

I'm a long time card holder for Wirex when they were E-coin.  The service has always been good, but something serious has happened the past few months.  Those people complaining are telling the truth.  There is something internally wrong with Wirex and I have had nothing but one problem after another.

The problems I've had:

1.  Their app took my dash for a load and 'lost' it.  It took me 2 weeks to track down what happened and ultimately I had to write to shapeshift to ultimately find that the transaction never was done, because the limits were wrong in their app and it was rejected.  What was worse was that after I contacted Wirex, they PUT a bitcoin deposit into my account and removed it (I guess to delay my response?), because when I checked the bitcoin deposit address, they put it in and pulled it out immediately, but their app only showed it going in and waiting for confirmation.

2.  I requested a new card over a month ago, and told them it had to go express shipment.  I worked with a rep for weeks as he told me over and over that it was indeed sent DHL express.  Finally I received a tracking number, and found out they sent it through Deutsche post, which I reminded them I can't get the deliveries because of the postal problems in my local area.  They went through a couple of reps while I kept having to explain things over and over to them.  I got the last rep who basically just ignored my requests for a new card, and she kept repeating that they 'sent it already' and ignored my input about that it hasn't and won't ever arrive.  Here's some excerpts from the latest debacle with them.  Apparently, they don't actually read the emails and just quickly reply:

When I used your app, it gave me 2 choices, and I chose to have the card expedited, which is not the way it was sent. Worse was when I spoke to your other rep about it, he claimed it was indeed sent DHL Express(check the communication between us), and yet this wasn't the case. It was send through the mail as it never arrived here as I told him over a month ago it would not. Will your company expedite through DHL another card to me or not? I have very little time to deal with this problem now.

I have tons of these ridiculous emails from them now where they don't see to care whether they help you or not.  It's only been happening recently (the past few months) as in the past I never had this issue.  Just a warning to everyone.  Stay away from Wirex until they get their stuff sorted out.  You will have nothing but problems and their customer support is completely useless.  I've already switched cards to UQUID to give it a try, and I saw another person mention cryptopay, so I might try them too.

I have ordered one plastic card, received it, activated it, and now i want to load it with btc but they ask me to verify with my ID card Huh WHAT THE HELL? Did they scammed me from the BTC amount of the card? Wow

So after you load the card they ask you to verify with ID?
If that doesn't sound like a scam scheme performed by a company then I don't know what is then. Roll Eyes
Same thing happened to me when I was using Sportsbet.io as my sportsbook:
As soon as I won over 1btc then they asked for me to prove my id with requesting my drivers license/passport and utility bill.
Provided what them with those items they wanted and still they did not pay me accusing of another thing.
They don't intend to pay you if they know they have a chance of keeping alot of money in their pockets instead of paying out their customers.
Typical scamming behaviour.

Wirex/E-coin have a lot of complaint but i think they are trying to fix those problems...i had a problem before but after i submitted my papers they solve it right away...we hope that every problem will not repeat again and again. Smiley

Exchange failed . from Plastic Card to BTC . and if this is not fixed and wasn't able to get my money out of that card by 26 this month my 999$ is gone and i wouldn't be able to get that unless i'm verified . even thought i submitted my Documents a week ago and so far no reply regarding that

Wirex > how worst it can get we need to know for real what happen to the company to come to this level ? be honest with us and at least let us go out of this system peacefully
