I have a feeling a lot of ppl in the crypto scene still aren't aware of this.  The fact that we'll have shares in XC the corporation simply buy owning XC the currency is pretty amazing.  We'll have the ability to profit by being tied to the price of bitcoin, and by being completely independent of the price of bitcoin all at the same time through XC inc.  So either way anyone invested in XC has an amazing chance of making money off this investment if they're at all a long term bull on Bitcoin or XC.

Beyond that, it's pretty rewarding and amazing being involved in XC and seeing the tech continue to improve every week.  I realize a lot of the people that were active in this thread are lurking more now than posting (like myself) but believe me, the community is much bigger than most of us know and the tech has a great chance of being revolutionary in the near future.  I'm honored to be along for the ride.

It's only 9pm here but I'm drunk and happy its the weekend... pretty excited about the zero fee mintpal too.  Am I the only one ok with BTC going down so I can get more XC at low prices before the ITO, web 3.0, rev 2.5, 3, mobile apps, etc.Huh
Im with you on the first part, im smashed... but i wish bitcon would go up! my little app on my phone that shows overall how much ive got in fiat, overall.... im fuuuucked!!!

Haha same here, I'm down overall with the recent slide but I have no fear, there is no fundamental reason for the decrease in price its mostly based on TA, EW, and market sentiment.  I look at it as a great opportunity to buy more BTC at low prices, but then again we never know....

People need to stop cherry-picking my statements because the main point I was making is that XC has absolutely no business collaborating with a coin such as utilitycoin that is 1 week old, has an anonymous dev, and whose thread is only 10 pages long.

Seriously people? Come on...

Did you read any of that thread?  If they are working on Content Filtering (primarily to avoid the stigma of users having to deal with illegal content/malicious data being handled by their network) then XC has a very good reason to want to be involved with such a topic and development (for XC's decentralized data distributing network).  It makes perfect sense, regardless of how long the coin has been in existence or how long their thread is (incidentally, their OP mentions that they have submitted for POD from cryptoasian).  I also think that Dan is probably a good judge of character and can discern the quality of the dev before going full on into anything.

I don't share your concern in the least and actually think that the collaboration, if it gets to happen, will benefit XC greatly.

+1 to collaboration

Most of you are definitely missing the forest for the trees.  As the crypto world grows it can only help XC if Dan/XC collaborates with other innovative developers and projects and becomes a well respected code reviewer.  Crypto innovation hasn't even scratched the surface yet, so if you think it's good for XC to just stay stuck in it's own cocoon you will be in for a rude awakening.  Nobody has a monopoly on all the great ideas and that includes Dan Metcalf, as great as he is.  Collaborating ideas and new technologies with other projects is what will keep XC relevant when crypto becomes mainstream.  Also, Dan will become a trusted and respected member of the technology universe, which will go a long way with XC's adoption into the world of the general and typically uneducated mainstream user.

Just my 2 XC, so chill.

+ 1 to trusting Dan's judgement and letting him get on with what he needs to do.

Ok, there will be limitations in my block explorer.

Just finished a dynamic caching module in the back-end because some transactions where just to much for a browser to handle.
eg: if one or more outputs are not spend i let the browser render the graph, if all outputs are spend the svg is served without the need for any end-user processing. Simply because unspend outputs can change the graph & i needed some simple & quick caching able to run in the cloud.

But visualizing seemingly simple things can give crazy results, check this out: Thats a 6x times zoom in

Just someone scraping together about 300 seperate inputs into a single tx-out without time-frame, this has nothing to do with anon (no multisigs)

Funny to see how (only for XC) regulair Anon transactions are more easy to handle by a browser (visual tech wise) and how some people had concerns about bloat because of the XCoinshuffle thats part of the anon:D

Overall ... am almost there ...

It's Beautiful....

anyone fancy a random XC bet on when Mintpal 2 will be live? 10 XC, closest wins??

In Crypto We Verify
Do you need to have 1000+ coins selected from Inputs in Coin Control for xmixer to do its thing?

No when mixing it will grab what it needs. Just make sure when not in xmixer mode you are able to make anon TXs. Then when in Xmixer mode have at least 1001XC (per Dans recommendation) and unlock wallet if encrypted.
If coins don't end up mixing very often you will still stake in Xmixer mode. I know because it happened to me Smiley

Plus, it serves as an income stream for him.  Be thankful he, and the entire team, are as dedicated to XC as they are.  Go look at other coins whose devs quit or just go missing.  I have seen coin communities try and raise money to pay their dev, or hire a new one to make algo changes in hopes of saving their slowly dying coin.

This is another good point.  It's quite selfish of the community to feel that Dan shouldn't work on other projects if it may benefit him personally.  Nobody here is paying him for his time. I would be curious to know how many people that complain about him spending time on other projects have donated to the XC team. I'm sure he's logged countless hours.
