I am a strong believer in the utility of local boards.
I am lucky enough to be able to express myself in at least a couple of languages, but I know this is not the case for everyone.
A lot of users post only in the local boards because of a variety of reasons  either language or cultural barriers, lack of interest or whatever other reason.
I personally know a lot of very good users (from the italian sections mainly, for obvious reason) who doesn't post in the international sections.

I think all those users they are missing a lot of good contents posted on the international (english) section or on other boards.

My first "important" thread is actually translation from English to Italian of a very nice guide to setup a Bitcoin full node on a Raspberry. I had a very nice feedback on this, because a lot of people simply, didn't look at content in other languages or they felt they weren't proficient enough on another language to embark on a simple, but long technical process.
On the back of this experience I also translated in the italian board a few other posts I felt were useful, like the LoyceV's Beginners guide to correct use of the Trust system.
All this reasoning was meant to justify the fact  I think the translation of posts is something very useful to help spreading the knowledge.

So I used the @ddmrddmr Bitcointalk Merit Dashboard to look at my most merited posts (the ones which got more than 50 merits) and I am posting here, so you can read them, and, if you like, translate them in your local board.

There are only a few rules:

Just stick to forum rule:
  • 27. Using automated translation tools to post translated content in Local boards is not allowed.
Don't use GT to translate in your language. I carefully crafted my post: I don't want them to be ruined using the cheap syntax and dictionary choices of GT. Take your time, understand, learn and then translate. No hurry.

  • 33. This includes both copying parts or the entirety of other users' posts or threads and copying content from external sources (e.g. other websites) and passing it as your own.
Just include a clear reference to the fact the content you are posting is a translation of an article of mine and also provide a link to my original post. This is enough. As a courtesy I will link your translation in the below table.

Lastly, not a forum rule, but a couple of gentleman agreement:
  • just remember I am here to help you. In case of doubt, just drop me a DM, I will try to help you with the matter.
  • Everyone who is going to translate any topic should make an announcement on this thread beforehand to avoid any confusion. As a fist step everyone should check the OP and previous announcements to check in how many languages the article have been already translated or it is going to be translated. Doing translation is a complex, time consuming and requires a considerable effort. Doing the same translation means double work and I hate the double work.
  • RULE UPDATE
In order to speed up the update process, please submit the notice of the translation in the following format:

Polish Translation by cygan: 5 sposobów informowania zwykłych konsumentów o Bitcoinie

    Customise where necessary.

BONUS:
This is a tricky one. Translating this thread means also finding good resources in your own language. This might prove hard, but crucial to spread the knowledge of bitcoin in your national community.
Below my translation for the italian board (as I felt this compelling to be translated as soon as possible):
