Looks like some sort of a scam actually.
It's ok to verify reviews (for example ask for screenshots, proving that you are a customer). But its not ok to ask for users data. Escpecially if we talk about scam accusations.

I checked again. You cant send a review without providing phone #
This field is required.
I haven't submitted any review using the site yet, but If I understand well, I think they discourage people from including their personal detail in the review description area. Now, once someone proceeds by submitting the review, they will be asked to enter their phone number or email address to "curb" spam. Maybe that's what they meant based on stafstor's findings.
Yes, that's right, I took a test. After you write your review on the first page and proceed to the next page, there are mandatory fields required to complete the review:
Name *
Email Address *
Phone No *
Country *

This doesn't look good to me.

Yes it's a bit suspicious because they contradict themselves on the same page, at the top they say "Rest assured, your personal information will not be shared" and at the bottom they say "Do not include any personal information, such as your name, email address, and contact details" Huh!!!

As you said, everyone understands “personal information” to mean information such as phone numbers, email addresses, or names!!!

Frankly, I don't know. Either they are lying or they do not know what they are saying because this is a clear contradiction.

In this case which personal information are they referring to if not the phone number, email addresses or names?

There is no need for your phone number. The review does not require you to provide any personal information. On the contrary, they ask you not to include any personal information.
So how exactly do they fight spam or fake reviews?

It's a little confusing because somewhere else they say that

Submit your case information to opt-in for professional support in recovery.

Your review goes live after a spam detection check. Rest assured, your personal information won't be shared in line with our privacy guidelines.

Hi! Please, allow customers to make reviews without providing their phone number. We know many users who lost coins but they won't trust their personal data to any website.

Requiring phone number for registration is next to KYC and stacking numbers for marketing ads. Looks like SheldonCobb is the owner or a similar like manager of this site, i suggest you to remove that phone requirements, phone number as optional requirement is enough.

I also agree with your post. Many people are afraid to provide their phone numbers. There should be other way to verify real customers.

Thanks, never met this website before. Why do they require phone number and alternative phone number?

There are thousands of people who lost their coins already. So please, help us to stop Freewallet and investigate crimes commited by its owners.

I created online petition with an appeal to the NFIB to investigate the fraudulent activities of Freewallet owners

It is available here: https://chng.it/JVYrmzzHGK

Encrypted Money, Baby!
Elon Musk fell prey to the FreeWallet scam. Unbelievable he didn't take a moment to research prior to using it.
https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1359409599972007936?s=19

But they fixed it within an hour. If any of us plebs would have had this issue, they'd be waiting forever.

Hi javaloami,

The transfer was sent to the non-Freewallet address of the Segwit format.

Please note that Freewallet has not changed any details on its side. All changes took place on the side of the user interface which could be affected by malicious extensions of browser. We continue to investigate the incident.

Hello,
Responding to these accusations, I'd like to indicate the status of resolution for each one of them:

01. FreeWallet.org Scam - Millions stolen

No funds were stolen.  The reason our users got worried is because they checked their wallet balances on the blockchain explorer and found out the funds aren't there. However, the address displayed in the app is a so-called "hot wallet" used for receiving transactions. Therefore, this movement of funds was rebalancing between different cold storages.

02. FREEWallet.org SCAM ( Don't use any of their iOS or Android APP)

This post is reiteration of the previous item about 'stolen' millions. So, read the explanation above.

03. FREEWallet.org BIG SCAM, THIEF'S ( Don't use any of their iOS or Android APP )

These transactions were in progress in conditions of a heavy congestion on the network. After a while, they were completed.

04. Freewallet.org is a SCAM

Although there is no account of resolution, I believe that the XEM and STEEM transactions were refunded as in such cases (no payment ID being put) we complete them manually. LSK transactions were completed as it is indicated in the post.

05. Freewallet is SCAM

A complaint to crediting Ignis airdop. Unfortunately, I am not able to track the data of this user in our system now. However, Ignis coins were automatically credited to all NXT holders who had maintained a balance by the time the fork took place.
