Quite a few good picks on the list (HOBO, MYR, DGB, GRID), but also wayyyy too many head scratchers. AC, MZA, P$, CAIX have absolutely no business being on a list of "sleepers/hidden gems".

I guess there are a few good alt coins but they do get buried amongst all the other crap coins I'll take a look at this one.

CapitalCoin unlike Bitcoin, uses a variable block reward (with a maximum of 1000 CPTL per block). The algorithm utilizes Moore's law which accurately predicts the growth of computational power. The creation of new coins (block reward) decreases on a scale related to the computational effort used,  with a halving every 16x the network difficulty. The more miners, the lower the block reward. If there are less miners the block reward will increase.

That is better that any X11-to-1000 algorithm as it does not care how much hash you throw at it, it's just going to give you a lower payout making it non beneficial for multipool and mining farms. Which is one of the reason why those pump and dumpers are ignoring this coin.

Yet not that many people know about it, why because since it's an honest coin without the budget of the scam coin that just get everyone rally up and pump the market while they dump the coins and run to launch their next scam coin.

Thank you! My honesty actually comes from the way my father reared me. Also, he's a retired stockbroker: he also drummed into me the "client's interest before your interest" ethos of the old-school brokers. The ones that were easy to laugh at back in tha day, but they did accept that their upbringings imposed upon them a duty to be more than festooned salespeople.

I never clicked in the investment field - frankly I didn't have what it took - but my father's ethos rubbed off on me nonetheless.

I know I'm self-promoting here, but NFD is a sleeper that - unlike the typical Nxt-clone or Nxt-like crypto - has not suffered a major bear market after being listed on a major exchange.

Granted that its current market cap is merely equal to the price of a luxury car, and it is nestled in the 101-200 page at Coinmarketcap. I will concede that at the moment its 2-3 satoshi price is understandable because it is in fact a plain Nxt clone.

[If you don't mind a digression, I'm a little puzzled at the Nxt core team's open aversion to clones when the free market has adequately demonstrated, through several Nxt clones and quasi-clones extant, that the typical Nxt clone fades into Coinmarketcap's gallery of also-rans. As threats to Nxt, clones and quasi-clones might as well be wee little mice for all the market cap they can muster. The only exception, market-cap wise, is Qora* and its current market cap is ~1900 Bitcoins. Nxt's is ~63,000 BTC, and it's usually the volume leader at Bter. I really can't figure out why the some of the core guardians of Nxt are a lot like elephants when they see a mousy clone...]

To get back to NFD, I've gone out of my way to go slow promotion-wise because I'm hoping to keep NFD a sleeper in the short term. To be frank, I don't want a bunch of butthurt punters suffering losses because they excitedly bought in at the top of a premature pump. Granted that this policy of mine does make NFD pretty blah, but it does cohere with the tech team's policy of going slowly, carefully and meticulously. Granted that NFD is a wallflower coin, but it's one that will go the distance.

So there you go. Admittedly, NFD is a plain Nxt clone with only a bare-bones ecosystem at the moment. This early-stage sparsity does go a long way in explaining its current low price. But the entire dev team, including li'l ol' me , are the opposite of the hasty and frenetic kind of devs that make an alt a pump-and-bag flash in the pan.
