In another vein, we have some bad and good news:

Due to long term inactivity, members of the Alliance have voted, and we must say goodbye to LeGaulois, amishmanish and Yatsan. In addition, BlackHatCoiner and Buchi88 have voluntarily asked to leave, due to lack of time.

On the bright side of life, paid2 will be promoted and he will be our new Main French translator from now on; DrBeer was accepted as our new Main Ukrainian translator and also Russian back-up; and nalain420 and r_victory are accepted as our back-up Arabic and Portuguese translators, respectively.

Please, back-up translators, coordinate with the Main ones from now on so you don't duplicate tasks and waste efforts unnecessarily.

Oh, when I replied to gagux123, I didn't read your whole discussion here, just followed up right now and here's probably an explanation how it got a bit messy:
I've missed to add my usual disclaimer "Unfortunately, officially reserving translations it not available currently" for my topic Important to know: Difference Coin / Token and shady marketing practices. Just recently, ThemePen detected it and applied for a translation. When he applied, my topic was still available for translation, see my archive on February 3: https://archive.is/bkCnG
As translations have been available, when ThemePen applied, I had to approve it because compared to my other topics, I've forgotten to add my disclaimer.  
That's why I've added the disclaimer now.
But if you are willing to handle all remaining translations via AOBT, it would be fine for me and we can proceed. In general, I won't have much time starting from next week and if you would handle it via AOBT as usual, it would be fine for me.

Notes:
1. As far as I know, Learn Bitcoin is already working on the Bangla translation if second topic, thus 1 more translation would be needed for it.
2. I did not mention the French translation for first topic, based on paid 2's opinion that French local board has enough quality and such translation would not be needed.
3. gagux123 said he is working on the last needed translation for first topic, thus we'd only need his confirmation that he is actually doing it, thus nobody should spend efforts for doing it as well.

Haha absolutely! I am now working on a serie of 1miau's topics, and will have a look on the other available ones in the following weeks.

Dear friend, I congratulate you for doing this, which is the most complex topic we ever had in our group! Yours was the fifth translation and I honestly don't expect to ever reach 10 translations for this topic... You have a big chapeau from me!

However, I have a small suggestion: can you edit your additional posts to the topic and rename them using the respective chapter names? For example: Edit post #2's title and rename it to "6. CoinJoin". Rename post #3's title and rename it to "7. CoinSwap". And so on. It will look much more aesthetic.

Now, if you want, you can look at any of the other topics which don't have French translations, as all will look like a child's play after translating the monster topic

Now if gagux123 will do the tenth translation to the campaign for improving posts quality, that topic will be finished as well. And the other remaining one, about joining signature campaigns, has 8 existing translation, but Learn Bitcoin is working on the ninth one. As a consequence, it would be needed only 1 more to have it finished as well (and this one should be a translation in any of these languages: [ROM] [RUS] [FRE] [TUR] [ITA] [ARA] [HIN]).

Yeah it takes a lot of time to translate this one, it was not the easiest as a lot of specific terms does not have an equivalent in French. I say good luck to anyone who will translate it! It's long but it's worth it, it increases our theoretical knowledge of things that some of us use every day (coinjoin etc...).

Thank you mindrust, that was the last translation we needed to consider it finished, so I've moved it to the other list.

Anyway, those who want to translate it in the future are still welcome to do it.

In less than a year we have managed to translate 12 topics which is a great start imho: 12 educative pieces of content now available into different languages for non-english speakers, and a solid public portfolio AoBT-ers can show wherever they need.

I know that I am among those who did not succeed in completing voluntary translations, mainly due to personal reasons. But at the same time, I assure you all of my commitment if there is paid work. Since joining AOBT, I have worked on many translations outside the forum, and I completed them all and satisfied my clients.

As for the voluntary Arabic translation, the efforts of any other member can be used, but I suggest that it be sent to me for review before publishing. This proposal can be applied to other languages that have alternative volunteers.
