We do not need to be more Catholic than Pope is... Smiley
More Catholic than the Pope is Cheesy I thought that this expression was only Spanish!! It is good to know that I can use it everywhere Tongue

This is the first time I have seen this expression, I have absolutely no idea what you guys meant by this! Anyone care to explain??

It means being too demanding or strict in complying with a rule. I guess that you never heard it before because the catholic tradition in your country is much less than in Romania and Spain. Although, at least nowadays, it is used with a little humorous tone Tongue

Thank god, I won't have to steal from GB anymore (previously, I took one of his table's template to make my portfolio..!) Lips sealed

I could call you plagiarist, then report you and ban you!!!

But then again, my template was given to me by OcTradism, so I can't complain for any theft, lol =)))

You were only joking right? Righttt?! Undecided

Gazeta, let me know if I should update our ANN too Cheesy

Hey dear close people of my heart!

I tested the vanity address generator myself, and it worked flawlessly!
Since I translated this topic, I thought I should give it a try!
Tbh, it's really fun! You guys should also test it.

Forked repository : https://github.com/10gic/vanitygen-plusplus

Pattern: 1BTT (Bitcointalk)

I am also making the privateKey public, dud Tongue. I won't be using this address, obviously! Anyway, it was fun!

Hello gang members, been busy lately... It's so boring not having any translation available to do in PID  Cry.. I guess most post has already been translated to pidgin before now... Well hope to get one soon.. a happy Sunday you all  Grin..

I thought of you the other day because you are right that the new topics are already translated into Pidgin lately. Apart from Gazeta's advice, let's take it into account and find a topic to translate next that it is not already translated into your language Smiley

The translation for this topic,
[Guide] How to create your customized Bitcoin-Address (vanitygen)
can be found here,
কাস্টমাইজড বিটকয়েন এড্রেস (ভ্যানিটিজেন)

Porf, can you please add it to the OP?
GB, can you please inform 1miau?

Side note: Sorry for the delay, the work was already done, but I wasn't home. Travelling and got sick on the way. Btw, I had to make the title a little smaller because of the character limit issue!  Smiley

Done!

Get well soon DS. Nobody likes getting ill, but especially while traveling Sad

I'm afraid that the character limit issue was going to be a problem soon (again) in the list of translations of the second post of this thread. We'll have to find out a solution when it happens...

Porf, please be aware that when Peanutswar will post his translation, it is already approved by me, thus it can be added as well. The translation was made for a topic which is not in progress right now, but that doesn't matter too much Smiley

Yes, I will. I am waiting for Peanutswar to post also a translation he sent to me for approval thus I will inform 1miau about all translations at once (3 of them) -- trying to avoid to fllod him with PMs.

Travelling and got sick on the way.

I hope you will feel better soon...

I strongly asked them whether his translation looks natural or AI made! All of them said it looked okay! [...]

Maybe GB knows some Indian members!

Sadly, I do not have any Indian contacts... In any case, since your proxies said the translation is good, this should be enough... We do not need to be more Catholic than Pope is... Smiley
After all, we act in good faith here... And if a "Nalain 2.0 incident" with occur, I am sure that other forum users, from Indian local board, would announce us...

@GazetaBitcoin, please, can you check?

I checked it and it's okay Smiley Thank you for the preview, Porf! Feel free to post it.
As a side note, DS also sent me a preview for same topic and I already approved it. So when he will write it here, feel free to add his translation as well Smiley

I think the same: Nalain's incident was unfortunate but we won't have a better control over the quality of our translations than the local boards have. We foresaw this long time ago when we created the Alliance, and it has proven to be a good system. So, if a case like the Arabic one happened again we will know it; there is no need to worry.

Spanish translation posted. Please DS, let me know when you post yours and I'll update the list.

Only update the OPs in the local boards

OP is updated in Romanian board!

-snip-....the ranks of the members get automatically updated periodically, so there is no need to touch anything. Only update the OPs in the local boards, but let's wait until we add the new member.
Did you setup a bot or something?

mindrust did, thankfully! because I had to update it manually every month before, and it was a really tedious task (I had to visit each member's profile in order to look for the latest stats, write them one by one in separate boxes in a text processor, make a screenshots for each member, rename the screenshots and finally upload them to the server).

BTW, @mindrust, would you mind capturing M47AK16's summary and sharing it with me? It seems that he is doing a good job and that he will pass the trial, so let's have it prepared for the moment we add him to our Hall of Fame  Wink

Btw, what's the time interval? Like every months?

No, it is much more often. Previously it was weeks, but he changed it recently and I think that it is a matter of just a few days now.

As per the new member, we can add him now, but as we have agreed a trial period I would wait and see if there is any complaints in his local about his work before doing it.
Agreed! It's the only logical approach!

BTW, you told me that you have Indian friends. It could be great if any of them assessed his work. If you don't mind telling them about this forum and/or your identity here, of course.
I strongly asked them whether his translation looks natural or AI made! All of them said it looked okay! Well I can't be sure, since I can't speak hindi, but rest assure I asked them multiple times!

I do think a forum local should proofread his translations! Maybe GB knows some Indian members! I do have member in mind who can proofread his translations but I'm not sure whether he will do it or not! Will send you the link in PM:)

Lastly, good evening Porf

Porf,

I think, it's time for you to update the OP (wall of fame). There has been several changes at AOBT, some members has ranked up, some were added while some were removed!

-DS Smiley

Morning DS.

Nalain420 was already erased from the wall of fame, and the ranks of the members get automatically updated periodically, so there is no need to touch anything. Only update the OPs in the local boards, but let's wait until we add the new member.

The subject line appears distorted. Complete sentence is not displaying properly and showing "&#" instead. How can I resolve this issue?

It's a character limit issue. The "Subject" box that you see has a certain character limit! If you go way past that limit, the texts gets cut off or shows random signs like "&#". Unfortunately it cannot be solved. If you are unable to complete the subject fully, then try to modify it, or rearrange it or make it short!

Btw, Congratulations buddy!  Wink

If you wish, there are 2 topics in "Finished" section which are not translated yet in Pidgin: Husna's monster topic ([Education] Bitcoin Privacy and Anonymity) and one topic of fillippone (5 Resources to teach Average Joe about Bitcoin).

Noo noooo nooooo, not the monster topic (the only topic I fear) !!!

Nice suggestion @ Gazetabitcoin, I actually had considered translating that post some time ago, it's just difficult to get good resources relating to Bitcoin and in pidgin.. maybe I'll do more research and see if I can come up with something. As stated by the op, it's a special translation and thus I might have to do some good work which will take my time and efforts.. as for the first suggestion  Cry  I think I've stated here my reasons for not wanting to translate it here on our thread

Thanks, @GazetaBitcoin, I'm really very happy to meet a leader like you

(Giggling warmly...) Thank you, Chilwell ... but I am no leader Smiley

because when I founded this gang I became more confident and gained more recognition which made me grow faster than I thought, I really appreciate all you for helping me achieve all this success.

The merit was yours... first of all... Big congrats for what you achieved!

As per the voting, I'm glad to announce that most members think that it would be positive to invite you to join the AoBT gang, with a trial period.

Welcome M47AK16!

Unfortunately, there is not so good news for everyone. After the complaints in the Arabic board (translations don't look natural or made by a native speaker) most members have voted to kick Nalain420 from the Alliance.

This is a very unfortunate incident indeed... sigh...

...And there's more good news... as two more AOBTers were mentioned by Coin-1 for their rank-up... So big congrats for Chilwell, which became Hero and also for Adiljutt156, which became Sr. Member!!!

Congratulations guys Smiley I'm really happy for you as you definitely deserve it.

And as a side note, M47AK16 just sent me a preview for another translation he made. I pinpointed him 3 small typos, in rest the translation is good. Porf, please feel free to add it after M47AK16 will share its link.

Sorry Nalain420, we strive for excellence in our work, and these complaints against a member are inadmissible. Also, please, delete AOBT from your Personal Text.

I wish you the best of luck in all other aspects, and you have my inbox open.

I've just added the topic [Guide] How to create your customized Bitcoin-Address (vanitygen) – step by step by 1miau to the list of translations in progress.

Gazeta is right, and only Russian, Indonesian, Turkish, French, Spanish, Ukrainian, Portuguese, Bangla and Urdu are left. If any translator from the languages already finished has nothing to do and is bored for so long without work, let us know and we will add another topic Wink

Hi Porfirii,

Do you still need the translation into Portuguese? I've been away for a while for work reasons, but I can do it and deliver it next week.  Smiley

Hey r_victory, sure, the more the better.

If you have little time you may prefer to focus on the new recently added topics instead; however, I think that this one about vanity addresses is very interesting too.

I'm moving it to the list of finished translations, but new ones are still wanted.

BTW, last call to check your Messages and vote. I will share the results tomorrow.
