Sorry, I didn't see that earlier Sokani reserved this post also

I sent you a PM regarding your translation. In the way you made it it is an unacceptable one. You did not reply to my PM nor you made any of the changes I sent you through PM. Having no sign from you afterwards, I considered the topic being available for being translated (in a proper manner). In case you will adjust your translation and make it correct please let me know and I will announce sokani to work on the other reserved topic.
Am working on it and thanks for that

I also added these translations as footnotes inside the original threads.

Thank you Asuspawer09 and Peanutswar! Looking forward for future collaborations Smiley

found a small typo here. the translation of Porfirii is spanish and not polish

Thanks, I fixed that Smiley

GazetaBitcoin was a bit too hasty in writing - no wonder if his threads now gain more popularity and are translated very often Wink

=))) This is true -- I always try to made the updates very fast after receiving the new translations, and this implies updating OP, updating the footnote from the original thread and also make a new post here, announcing which translations have been added. Due to all these (and, as we all know, working with BBCode is not a pleasure, lol), some typos may occur from time to time. Thank you for highlighting them to me Smiley

For most forum members, you are "Sir". Only very few people here on Bitcointalk can call you "bro" or "BAE".  Wink Wink
there is also a user who calls it something else - but Gazeta already knows about it🧛‍♂️ Grin

Looooooooooooool!

(Not-so-subtle hint, in case others are wondering: 🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️)

You won't believe how many times I've been called "Sir" or "boss" lately Smiley
Well, it true, dear GazetaBitcoin.  Cheesy

Your approach is very reasonable because by doing so, interested translators need to express directly some sort of interest, not just posting a standardized reply, which could turn into a Bounty spammer shitshow at some point.  Cheesy
Plz reserve, Sir.

If so, it would be very offending.
And for members getting accepted to do a translation, we can assume, that you are their "boss" while translating it.  Cheesy

Ok, it's a little bit far-fetched but I believe you can understand the idea behind my explanation.  Smiley

Fortunately, there were only rare cases when I was announced only by PM and not through a public post too and, even more fortunately, there was no overlap, so far, between a public post application and one received by PM.
Yes, luckily, an overlap is very unlikely to happen.

In any case, for making sure that such overlaps are always avoided, if I receive a PM application I also post it publicly, thus it can be seen that the respective post is reserved (at least, by those which bother to read the posts Smiley). So no matter the fact that the user does not post it publicly and only sends me a PM, I am making the post (and the reservation) public.
It's a very professional solution, dear GazetaBitcoin.  Smiley

lazy people are a big issue.
And if they can't read your OP or your replies properly, how can we trust, that their translations will be better?  Roll Eyes

This is also correct Smiley

You won't believe how many times I've been called "Sir" or "boss" lately Smiley And I had to explain them all that I am not "Sir", not "boss". At least, if they said "baws" it would feel better, but it was "boss", not "baws =)))

In my opinion, a public comment is very important because if it's done via PM, it might result in confusion in case 2 members apply at the same time: one application in PM and one application publicly. It's very likely to result in a confusion.
If it's public, everyone can see who applied at which time and you would have a much better overview.
At least it's much easier for me, when I'm about to send out dozens of prizes from my giveaways to all winners and it's always messy when I receive some BTC addresses sent via PM.  Cheesy

Yes, I understand what you mean. And I also agree. I would not go that far though and require a standardized application...

However, if there is someone which does not bother to read OP nor last few posts of the topic, that user will certainly not see a reserved topic either if that reservation is made by using "regular words" or a standardized application (like the code sequence you suggested). So practically it would be a work in vain, because if someone does not pay attention, he will not pay attention to any kind of topic update. Does this make sense? Smiley

Thank you sokani, Buchi-88, Porfirii and cygan! Looking forward for future collaborations Smiley

Since we had a few confusions about some members not reading that certain topics are already reserved, maybe we can add a few lines to your OP to require some sort of application procedure, where interested translators are required to leave a reply in your topic to reserve a certain topic and they can only start to translate it, if their application is officially approved by GazetaBitcoin.  Smiley

My dear 1miau, thank you for your suggestion. I had something like this in mind and since a while now I am also marking the reserved topics inside OP. What I had in mind though was to (1) have a user expressing his intention to translate a topic by by writing a post about that, combined with having me giving the Go for translation and having me marking the topic as reserved in OP (and specifying this too inside a post) or (2) have a user expressing his intention to translate a topic by PMing about that, combined with having me giving the Go for translation and having me marking the topic as reserved in OP (and specifying this too inside a post).

As you see, in both cases, an intention for a translation is properly highlighted inside the topic, by a post and also by an update of OP.

So there is an application procedure, although not a standardized one Smiley

Just an idea how it could look like [...]

Of course it's up to you how / if such an application process will be added but after our incident, it came to my mind to require a #reserve post to get officially accepted for translating certain topics and to avoid future incidents.  Smiley

I would not go that far though and require a standardized application... And I'll explain why: as you see, there is already an approval system applied, in a way or another. Users express their wish for translations by posts or by PMs; I give them green light for translation; I announce that inside the topic; I mark the reserved topics inside OP.

Smiley

Hello, dear GazetaBitcoin  Smiley

Just an idea how it could look like:

Code:
#reserve
I would like to reserve a topic for a translation
Bitcointalk Account: xxx
Language: xxx
Requested topic: xxx

Maybe we can add more application details but for now, it should be sufficient.
Of course it's up to you how / if such an application process will be added but after our incident, it came to my mind to require a #reserve post to get officially accepted for translating certain topics and to avoid future incidents.  Smiley
