https://bit.ly/387FXHi lightning theory
Thread forks are simple in smf.

It's better you make a thread than a shitcoin maker. Most altcoin makera done even know how the code works in Bitcoin ore. They just change a bit of the math and throw out a new algorithm by changing a word and they have a brand new coin Grin.

I don't think bounties have died down but I haven't done much reporting on the patrol tab recently, I've been having a fun life.

They're better than the thread about the green spec you were getting early on anyway Wink.

I'll use anything to buy stuff. I bought a 1939 Francis Barnett motor cycle with a couple of clocks that weren't working. The bike had an air leak in the crank case, so that wasn't working either. Fortunately we didn't have to provide a proof of work to complete the transaction. It's only the cafe that doesn't accept credit cards or cats. The Inn on the Beach takes all cards, but then it's more expensive.

Anyway, you guys will have noticed that I haven't started any new topics recently, so my posting is hanging by a thread ( this one).

I've decided that I'm going to multi-thread as well, so I need a couple or three topics that can live together in the same thread. I just hope that a mod won't create a thread fork, and increase my difficulty.

No God or Kings, only BITCOIN.

He's got about a thousand to go the ...
Difficult but potentially doable.
It's doable by the likes of Jet Cash.

Does no one else like paying with cash? I really enjoy it, much more than cards.
I do like since, I like the smell of it.  Roll Eyes

I am figuring out that maybe Jet Cash is aiming to be on "Top Topic Starters" here in forum.

Then he should beat this figure of jdebunt with 1461 topics made where he is placed at number 10.

Many apologies for not having started any threads over the last couple of days. I spent this morning and early afternoon on the beach at Hayling Island. The cafe on the beach only accepts cash, they haven't got round to using those new fangled credit card things. They also have a sign saying "Dogs welcome, but no cats, sorry". I haven't worked up the courage to try to convince them to accept Bitcoin. They don't have any WiFi, so they would need to synchronise their node by carrier seagull.

Anyway, I'm now back in the "office", so I'll go and see if anyone has posted a translation request in Fit to Talk. Unless something exciting turns up, I'll hold off adding a new tune for a couple of days. I'll go on a merit awarding spree at 16:16 ( McDonalds time ), so you guys had better start posting those wonderful creations on the Beginners' board. Don't forget that today is the day of the "meaningless vote" for Theresa May ( but probably won't), so I'll check the political board as well.

I guess two things are certain after reading your post, people should be careful when visiting Hayling island, also yet digesting the fact they didn’t accept credit cards. The second thing your home coming is going to be greeted with messages like dear sir, please sir give me a merit brace your self. I believe if someone is wise enough they should make a video of this thread, and this post in particular and claim those 25 merits.

I'm not politically correct, but these days you have to be circumspect. There is no point in having a voice if the bankers shove a tennis ball in your mouth, and put a bag over your head, and "Hitler" seems to be one of those flag words. I don't agree with the demonetisation, and all the suppression of diverse opinions. I think it is wrong that Alex Jones was removed from many of the public platforms ended up by being a bit extreme, but he did make quite a few valid points in my opinion. We've got a long fight ahead of us, and I hope to be a part of it. The attempted diversion of Brexit must have made much of the world aware of the control that the puppet masters have over the Western world.

Most puppets are fully aware of the power puppet masters have over the [entire] world [not just the west]. In the west it's just too inconvenient for most people to attempt a policy thought for themselves outside of 2 party systems. While the issues become more complex, the party lines become more narrow..."you're with us or against us", "you believe what we believe or you are wrong"... it is disconcerting.
And while us citizens are giving up control our leaders are becoming less capable of wielding it.
It has not been a good last few decades for economic policy in my country (US) and the last crises is not over.
Nothing foundational was changed with the bailouts.

The video is about Butterfly Labs and preorders of miners (that were not even built yet).

I gave you a couple of merits, and I added the tune to the Bitcoin Talk page on Bitcoin tunes. I wasn't sure if it is a Bitcoin Talk related song. It seems to be popular, but it is a bit extreme for me - I guess I'm getting old, and I listen to too much Mahler.

There have been many songs over the years, that's just my personal favorite.
Interesting page Jet Cash you should add the butterfly labs hitler spoof. I'm not politically correct but won't be offended if it's not your thing;-)

I had to cut the balls off my mice to stop them starting a new thread about this.

In my quest for Bitcoin tunes, I found a song dedicated to a member here with the sobriquet "proudhon" I gather that he is a bear with prophecies of doom for Bitcoin. Anyway, perhaps this is the type of song we should encourage for the music project.

The proudhon song

Here you go...
A  classic
just needs a little base

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZfg1Gtcg08

 YTCracker

Bitcoin Baron

You know rappers like to rock chains
I rock blockchains knock em out the box off mount gox mang
Keyring full of wallet data
I gotta pray that my ASIC incinerators
Blow the mine like a creeper one time
And my circuits divine a fine way to keep the power bill in check
My equipment is starting to sweat (from the heat)
Cryptoanarchy becoming a threat (so elite)

You know rappers like to rock pools
I got pools you can't swim in
But I'm collecting the spice like a fremen
So you fools get stepping and get to choosing your weapon
Because the deafening roar of indefinite war is epic
I found a new way to debit the people
I generate an address then I generate its sequel
I get medieval when I'm taking payments
Cause I don't want the NSA all stuck up in my anus

I'm a bitcoin baron, I'm scaring the status quo
Got that crypto dough in that dat file to blow
And the algorithm gon' get em until prism
Send us all to prison and that's a nerdy living

You know rappers like to sell drugs
But you do it on the streets
And you deader than Google buzz or Google+
There's a road made of silk if you must
Get your hustle out a chemical rush avoiding a brush with the law
Can't stop em all cause they got it anonymous
The ones that play it stupid they get thrown in a bottomless pit
Don't even know how to cut up them layers
Of the .onion so let the players play pumpkin

Hash function pumpin and dumping
Manipulate the market flood it from the dark net
Flood it from the deep web keep it a secret
Every exchange got them nerdy brains trading on the frequent
Wonder where the league went - they left the cement
Looking for the promise land online beam it
Up scotty this the future decentralized swag
Keep the work in your laptop bag

I'm a bitcoin baron I'm scaring the status quo
Got that crypto dough in that dat file to blow
And the algorithm gon' get em until prism
Send us all to prison and thats a nerdy living

You know rappers can't pay bills
Face the tax implications of evasion when they stack mils
Got a homie phil deuce one taught me the solution
Dumping all his knowledge from the booth son
Anyone can learn it if you put in the work and research
On how to launder just a fraction of your worth in the dirt
Like GZA said, keep your bonds on diverse
Cause there ain't no telling when that bubble going to burst

You know rappers say they bout the future
But you ain't Marty McFly until you bought kombucha
From a supermarket with them bitcoins do you
Get your charlie sheen greens off computer screens from the Philippines
Kratom leaves knockoff Louis vs try to freeze my assets
Long gone is the cash in the mattress (mattress)
Now it's all tied up in hashes
Wrapped up in encrypted batches (batches)

I find it amazing you do everything you do in a McDonalds on public wifi!   Shocked

It is surprising, I darent use the internet in public places to access sites, seems a bit risky for someone just to look over your shoulder and notice that password or even that you have a Bitcoin wallet open might arise suspicion.

I hope jet Cash opens 20k topics to match the Bitcoin price at the start of q1 next year (come on we all know it's coming what with the block halving and all).

BPIP does copy a lot of bitcointalk data and display it in a pretty fashion, but it also compiles data in a way bitcointalk doesn't.  I just thought I would carte-blanche claim everything the web server spit out.   Tongue
That's one way of interpreting the word "ironic". I meant it would be ironic if I'd be banned for plagiarism after opening this topic, which has been active since 2017.

I'm sure cryptohunter will give him a run for his money this year.

Don't bank on it - we've got Brexit and the meaningless vote coming up soon. That will give me some ammunition for my campaign against the world dominance of the Eton/Oxford elite.

btw I have got my own pseudo-forum. It's called Fit to Talk English and the idea is to teach English to non-English speakers so that they can learn about Bitcoin here, and then they can promote it in their own countries. It seems to be mainly posts by me at the moment. The translation project is still running with its guaranteed merits, but nobody is taking me up on the challenge.

Anyway, those topics are much better than the daily 3-5 topics from copypasters about:

"why I was banned, I'm innocent, I haven't plagiarized anything for sure", etc. kind of topics....
(...)

Exactly, the mods should be a lot stricter and remove that kind of stuff immediately. It's really demotivating to open a "Spam Club" trying to keep the forum clean, whilst seeing the Meta forum itself getting filled up with spam and begging threads...

I'm just kidding of course, I don't mind his topics too much, since they do not really strike me as being bad, repetitive topics.

I started a list of sites that are owned by Bitcoin Talk members, and I think I included BPIP on that. If I can remember the domain I put it on, I'll post a link ( maybe I should start a new thread about members sites. Smiley ).

I started a blog about my merit awarding activities, but I haven't posted much there recently, as I thought it was getting a bit boring. Maybe I will broaden the scope, and give you guys a break from my activity reports here.  This is the URL for the blog - https://talkmerit.com/the-source/index.php

Now whilst I have your attention, can I remind you guys about the drama video project. I put together a site to support it - Bitcoin Tunes I called it "Bitcoin Tunes" because I thought that someone could create a rap song about the drama here. I'll back away from this, and let someone else take up the running if they think it would be useful

The beginners board is a bit discouraging, and I've tried several threads there. I think it needs stricter moderation to encourage new potential Bitcoiners to use it. I started Fit to Talk because of the difficulties in getting interaction on the beginners board.

I tried to get some info on mining, but had to go to another forum to discuss it. I wasn't knowledgeable enough to be included in the discussions here, and the beginners board just gets spammed into uselessness. I want to learn about Dash, but I have had to join the Dash forum to learn about that, I gave up on the alt boards here quite a while ago, and I've got them in ignore. I'm turning to global politics in my old age, and crypto and anti-bankster topics are an important part of this. I believe that this is compatible with the aims of Bitcoin Talk, and this is probably why I try to encourage some discussions. The replies are a great help to me, and they have changed a lot of my attitudes. I have also found a greater awareness of the changes that are going on in the world. This video by the rapper Lil Dicky with 112 million views was an eye opener for me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvHYWD29ZNY

So now we are entering 2019, which will be a dramatic year both politically and economically. How do you think I should modify my behaviour for the benefit of the Bitcoin Talk community over the coming months?

I guess there are two reasons. If I don't understand something, then I tend to ask questions ( after a bit of searching and reading).

The best place to post these questions would be in Beginners and Help.

I only suggest you get off Meta because Theymos likes to read all these threads, so we want to keep them relevant.  There really is no other place than Meta and B&H to ask questions.

I guess I'm over active. You guys should think yourselves lucky that you don't have to live with me. Smiley

I have nothing against you buddy - in fact you are in my new trust list BECAUSE of your enthusiasm! Smiley

I'd like to see Meta filled with topics about forum development or concerns, not blogs about member activities.

A lot of the topics created in Meta are just for the merit potential.  Any topic can be skewed into a Meta topic...

I've given him a little shit lately for posting so many topics.  I think his heart is in the right place, but perhaps the forum doesn't need a new thread to be updated with his every action. Smiley

May be this post will give him an inspiration to break his own record this year?
Anyway, those topics are much better than the daily 3-5 topics from copypasters about:

"why I was banned, I'm innocent, I haven't plagiarized anything for sure", etc. kind of topics....

But seriously, you preempted me a bit with this. I decided that I'd been starting too many, so I've been re-using some of my old threads.
I guess there are two reasons. If I don't understand something, then I tend to ask questions ( after a bit of searching and reading). Another reason is to try to get a bit of variety into the index. Meta sometimes gets swamped by a topic - for example - Lauda, merit or DT.

Four+ pages of topics started by Jet Cash in the Meta section.   Tongue

I figured a free for all discussion would be better than a poll.

I guess 73 topics in 2019.
